dr. lisa bardack says recent physical exam was normal and recovering well with antibiotics and rest. clinton is also taking other medications including for her thyroid and allergies. her doctor says her heart is healthy and that she is, quote, in excellent mental condition. on the campaign trail in her place, her husband bill told supporters clinton is feeling great after coming down with the flu. think there's something unusual about getting the flu. last time i checked millions of people were getting it every year. >> an aide later saying the former president misspoke. clinton's campaign under pressure to release more details about her health in the wake of that pneumonia diagnosis which her team kept secret for two days. >> i'm feeling great. >> reporter: overnight daughter chelsea said even she was in the dark. >> i didn't even know she had pneumonia until she came over to

that she didn't even tell me and i talk to my mom every day and fiercely close to her is pretty much reveals she thought it wasn't a big deal and that she could keep going. >> reporter: clinton's running mate tim kaine calls the scrutiny over her health a double standard. her campaign says she's been spending her time at home sharpening her final arguments. we'll hear them when she hits the trail headed to north ca >> we'll bring in dr. richard besser and take a closer look at the candidates' medical information, both of them. we saw hillary clinton release more of hers. you've seen it. what's your sense? >> you know, it wasn't medical records. it was a medical report. but when you combine what was released last summer with what was released now, you get a pretty detailed picture of her medical condition. you know her family history. you know the medical problems that she's had over time, how they were managed and what

some of those critical issues. you know she had another ct scan after her clot and that her brain looked normal. you have follow-up on her pneumonia, on her thyroid condition. it's the kind of detailed report as a doctor i would expect to receive from another doctor who is referring me a patient and it's enough for me to assess the statement by her campaign she's fit to be president. >> and as we heard she's going to be back on the campaign trail. we saw vail out in front of her in chappaqua where she's been resting. given the t she had enough rest. >> well, you know, as a doctor i always want my patients to stay home longer than they're willing to stay home. given that she's in the midst of a presidential campaign, i can understand her not staying home longer. we'll have to see what kind of energy she has when she gets out there. what they found on her -- when they evaluated her pneumonia they did a ct scan which is unusual for pneumonia and did that because they were following up on her heart and found her

pneumonia in the middle part of one of her lungs. and so it's not a major pneumonia across all of her lungs and on antibiotics for ten days and see how she's doing. >> we know donald ump went on dr. oz. hasn't aired yet but is there anything we can take away from what dr. oz said. >> what we heard from dr. oz, he believes donald trump is in great physical condition and had a lot of test, an ekg, a he's a little bit overweight but i want to see what's released publicly. what medical problems has he had over his life. how are they being managed. what medicines is he on? we'll see what comes out publicly. >> thanks very much. now let's bring in jon karl who will look at the latest polling. it's clear that donald trump has some momentum now. two months to go and see a consistent tightening of polls.

but donald trump has the momentum. take a look at this new poll from quinnipiac university. hillary clinton with a five-point lead. but in this very same poll she had a ten-point lead just last month and when you factor in the third party candidates and they will be on the ballot, her lead evaporates, just two points within the margin of error, essentially a tie race. >> what's so important the electoral college in those battleground states where you've seen the same trend there as well especially in the last two weeks trump pulling ahead. >> absolutely. take a look at brand-new polls in two of the most important states, george. first of all, the state of florida. donald trump now up three points, that's within the margin of error but again with the momentum and then in the state of ohio, and we've seen this in several polls trump now with a five-point lead. now, the electoral map still favors hillary clinton, no question, even if he wins all of the battleground states, he

morning, david. what's going on? >> reporter: we are seeing videos and reports pop up of other samsung phones burning or exploding and while the south korean electronics giant has been slow in offering information it did respond overnight to these new reports. for the first time this morning we see a samsung phone bursting into a smoky, fiery mess according to the owner. >> oh, my god. >> reporter: and that florida driver believes his samsung started burning in the passenger seat. >> the phone was plugged in then i see flames come up. >> reporter: but these the galaxy note 7. we have seen dozens of explosions and fires on nightstands and cars of those phones, even the company is telling candlelight vigils to power them down until they're replaced. but does samsung have a broader battery problem? this morning the consumer product safety commission says it's looking into some of the incidents that involve those other models. a mann california filed a lawsuit in new jersey saying it was a galaxy s7 that burned his

in his pocket and a student at asu says his galaxy s6 exploded in his pocket. we asked samsung if there is a wider problem. overnight a spokesperson says "suggesting samsung's problems going beyond the note 7 are not true and says the battery problem is limited to that note 7. in south korea newspapers the company offered an apology and a time line for replacements even cash payments. but that was apparently only for customers in south korea. so when we asked samsung, would it print an apology in the u.s. and whether those remedies this south korea would apply to american citizens, the company said it's been working with the consumer product safety commission. that's all they're saying. we have a lot more information if they'd declared an official government recall here in the u.s. george, and they still have not done that. >> okay, no apology yet. david kerley, thanks very much. we move on to breaking news overnight. as police release 911 calls by a
