dallas police have determined telieb was not shot by someone, but rather shot himself. a lot more on that for us tonight. a fight to control the fire in beulah that has torched 5,000 acres in pueblo county. burned to the ground. russel haythorn is live to update us on the russel? >> reporter: yeah, ann, this is a massive fire in size and scope. take a look. it is burning up this mountain side. you can see all that white smoke coming off the hillside there. and then just to show you how widespread this is, if chad could pan over to the right here, you can see the fire extends all the way down into this valley, into this canyon here. and there are multiple homes back in that canyon where these flare ups are

much-needed air support here today. we've seen in the past hour several water drops from a pair of helicopters as well as an air tanker. there are also 400 firefighters on the ground now. we know at least seven to nine structures have been last, and we're told by the red cross some of those are homes. those families could find out tonight whether their home was lost or saved. many of the evacue are utilizing an center this eveniig. there were two evacuation centers last night in pueblo. they're consolidating both of those tonight. so there will be one. it is at the colorado state fairgrounds. again, a massive wildfire burning here in pueblo county. we'll keep tabs on it throughout the evening, and we'll be back with you tonight. for now, we're live in pueblo county, back to you. moisture is what we really

the forecast. right now temppratures 40s and 50s along the metro area. there's a little cloud cover in the mountains. they're making snow for the colorado high country, but the winds are still pretty strong at this hour, gusting up to about 20, 25 miles per hour, salida and denver. gusts still to about 25. they will lighten up tonight as tens begin to cool and as the skies begin to stay clear across the region. we do have 70 at pueblo is the warmest reading. they are under a warning. that goes until 7:00. but the rest of the eastern plains, freeze warnings in effect for night. i think we'll only get down to about 35 in tte denver area. there's moisture in the forecast. i'll have details on that in just a bit. now to breaking news. police are looking for this teenager. they say bobby eldridge never returned after visiting his father. this is the teen's father, bobby eldridge ii. police believe he may be living

vehicle is a blue 2002 -?chevy trail blazer. let police know if you've seen either one of them. boulder police need some help find being man. the family of 68-year-old william karisis is worried because he has medical problems, including a brain injury. he was last seen yesterday afternoon leaving his home on itself caw drive. he could be driving a white ?96 honda civic, police have arrested this man in connection with a shooter. % trevor ketatini faces a charge. officers say a man reported -- he says the man then attempted to break into his home. % well, that homeowner then shot at the man through a door before the suspect drove away, and was then caught by police. new video tonight, showing

inmates overdosed on suspected crack cocaine in the denver county jail. they all survived. molly hendrick son has the investigation into how e drugs got in there. >> reporter: hard to see what's going on in that viieo, and the sheriff's office says it still doesn't know exactly how those drogs got into the jail here, but what they are doing, they're looking into ways to make sure it doesn't happen again. tonight our first look at the nearly deadly drug overdose in the denver jail. deputies in pod 4 calling for help, inmate sick and pain downstairs. minutes later, four more walk out during a shake down of the pod. howdied five inmates get their hands on enough crack cocaine to od? sheriff patrick sherman says it likely started here in booking, smuggled in by another inmate. >> it's pretty tough to get something through here. >> reporter: michael bennett admits finding contraband is a constant game

beating aa 71-year-old woman. in the arrest report, jeffree collins confessed to boulder counny detectives that he tried to knock out katie culp couple weeks ago. culp had picked up a couple of friends hitchhiking. collins claims one of his friends had the idea to attack the woman and steal her car, but investigators say, no, it was collins' idea, and his friends ran to call 911. the culprit was seriously hurt. police are asking for your help tonight to find out who denver chef and father. hank louis was near his home in englewood when someone satellite him several times. liz ruwardi joins us live. >> reporter: they are, ann. wasn't that late out when someone shot nick louis here in this quiet neighborhood, and police are looking for witneeses tonight. several residents heard the gunshots, and let me tell you, they are pretty

there's the view from love land, and right over here, youucan see there's a little snow showing up off of chair one, where they've been making that snow. pretty shot, indeed. behind it, quieter weather with lighter winds tonight. there's another system that's going to move our way slowly over the next 48 hours. this low will drop down into southwestern wyoming tomorrow, cross colorado tomorrow night and early into thursday, and will bring us a better chance state by the time we get into early friday morning. so in advance of it tonight, there's a little bit of moisture in the mountains, but not much. we stay clear and cold on the eastern plains. going to see those lows drop into the low to mid-30s over most of northeast ?olorado. so just a little nip of frost no frost down to the southeast. and in the mountains, mid-20s leadville, gunnnson, 27 expected at steam boat. as far as lows by morning along the front range, you can see generally dropping off
