5:06 am
it's almost 10 years now, but this is the same weather phenomenon that contributed to that firestorm. here's what you can do. if you live in an area that is prone to fire danger, make sure you deep a defensible space, about 30 feet where you want to clear brush and trees out to 100 feet where you can thin things out. if you need to clear the area, do it early in the morning like right about now or maybe right after your neighbors wake up or late in the evening when things are less likely to spark from the strike of a blade of a lawn mower and such. clear the leaves out from your gutters and property. rake them off and get rid of them and come up with an evacuation plan. it's not something we like to think about when we like to consider our danger in terms of fire season, but it's important to make sure you have a plan on where to meet with your family and who you are going to call and where your point of contact would be. this is a reminder for the folk
