>> well said. out towards the trivalley and still looking at the temperatures getting into the 90s and a warm start to the morning. 68 degrees and 62 in concord and towards livermore, a sign of an offshore wind, but turning weaker. good news if you want cooling temperatures. we will see that in the inner bay. no heat for oakland and richmond, but the trivalley low 90s and as we head into the weekend, highs get back into the 60s and 70s. 87 in dublin and notice the temperatures around alameda and richmond. hovering close to 90. around fairfield, the big weekend cool down in the seven-day forecast. >> let's go to mike inouye. trouble on the bridge. >> trouble with the bridge. the san mateo bridge. things look standard here, but

further along the flat section, folks are smling that we have a lane closed. you will give a reason why. we will talk about that itself and show the maps off of the 880. expect delays at the toll plaza over in the westbound direction later in the commute. the construction zone at 92 and 880, things are calm there heading up along 880 into downtown no major delays, but folks will shift. we will give you more options. that will have the ripple effect, sending more folks to the bay bridge toll plaza. it's light right now coming off of 880, but watch and will explain more options for you. we will have the full report. back to you. >> developing news. i'm looking at the ap wires. the counter terrorism officials say the plot in europe remains active and the travel alert as

well. last week they warned travelers going to europe that there was a terror plot. there had been arrests in europe as well. there had been air strikes in pakistan all involving some kind of terror attack planned in europe. we know very little about it other than we just received that alert that the plan apparently is still active and the travel warnings stay in place. meanwhile, closer to home, a tuberculosis scare in the east bay. hundreds of high school students must get tested after someone who was infected came on to the campus. today in the east bay's christie smith is live at james logan high school with what the school will do. >> reporter: good morning. the district held an informational meeting to let them know what's being done. they are notifying parents in writing to let them know if

their child was one of those who doesn't need to be tested. the letter to be received by this friday. james logan high school is working closely with the alameda county health department to investigate the case and identify students and staff who may have been exposed. we know the person has not been identify and is no longer here on campus. according to a letter that went home, tb is rarely spread to a person who spends even a small amount of time with an active case. they set up an informational line for questions about tb and that can be accessed through their website. christie smith today in the east bay. >> what are is tuberculosis? a bacterial disease that affects the lungs. the symptoms are fever, night sweat, fatigue, weight loss and persistent cough. it is spread through the air whchlt a person who is untreated coughs or sneezes. the best way to stop the spread

is the same for the common cold. patients should cover their mouth and nose when coughing and receive medical care. also this morning, you can empower yourself against the fight for breast cancer. they will be hosting a fair in fremont. staff and clinicians will be offering tips and the latest information on care. october is breast cancer awareness month. the fair from 5:00 to 7:30 this evening. a part of antioch will be safer from west nile. crews will be fogging mosquitos by truck. they plan to fog between 6:30 and 9:30 in the area bordered by sunset lane, hillcrest avenue, and deer valley road. here's what's next in the case of the livermore mom accused of having sex with two teenage boys. christine hubs is expected to be

at a pretrial hearing in pleasanton later today. the 42-year-old pleaded not guilt to more than five dozen sex crimes involving the two teens. she is accused of paying for sex for more than a year. she remains at a santa rita jail on $4.3 million bail. the city of oakland wants to help domestic violence victims partnering with kaiser and the law center to end the effects of domestic violence and working to provide victims with legal services and mental health support. a warning for bart riders. expect delays this weekend because of track construction. the delays in train service are in both directions. they said it will start 9:00 friday night and continue through sunday. normal service resumes monday. you can weigh in on bart's

proposed train fairs and parking fees at an east bay open early next year. the bart boardville a public hearing for the west dublin train station this morning. for trips starting at the new station, they want to charge $4.15 to berkeley and $5.40 to the embarcadero and $10.40 to the airport. parking fees at the west dublin pleasanton station is $1 a day for regular parking. the public hearing is at the kaiser center in oakland at 9:00. developing news and possible chaos for the commute. emergency repairs under way at the bay bridge. inspectors found a crack at one of the wish bone-shaped pieces of steel under the middle of the san mateo bridge. i said bay bridge earlier and i misspoke. san mateo bridge.

if you are traveling westbound, caltrans closed the car right lane in the center of the bridge. it goes from three lanes to two and back to three as you near san mateo. do expect delays. repairs expect to be completed in the next day or two. mike inouye joins us. >> you illustrated that perfectly. i will show you current conditions and other 3d an make. this is typical of tail lights taking us away. you see three lanes of traffic and you showed in the video the cones. let me show you the map closer to the high-rise. they closed the right lane and you will find it down to two lanes. folks are shifting to the left. it is light with traffic and not causing any issues. later on about 6:30 or 7:00,

three miles per hour. 68 and at least higher up in oakland have the winds blowing slightly offshore. the temperatures are mild and air quality will be a bit of an issue. moderate air quality for most. across the north bay, low 50s and jacket weather towards gilroy. 65 around san jose. notice the wind direction. not seeing a strong sea breeze. that is the reason why we have moderate air quality levels and you will notice that our inland temperatures getting close to the low 90s. san ramon and dublin upper 80s and 83 in richmond. in the inner east bay towards concord and fairfield and we cool off for the weekend. hopefully that cleans out the air and causes less problems for folks with allergies. the oakland tribune makes its pick. who they are endorsing for

the oracle arena and it has been a while since we talked about it, but 82 degrees and look at walnut creek as well. there is a cool down coming this weekend. the oakland tribune backing rebecca kaplan to be oakland's next mayor. they served on oakland's city council. endorsing jean quan. oakland is at a critical juncture and kaplan will offer the leadership they need. voting will be different. voters use a rank choice system, choosing the top three choices. if no candidate receives the majority, the winner will be selectioned by factoring in second and third choices. election day is 19 days away.

offshore winds and a developing sea breeze. the offshore wins are winning towards hayward. northeast at 8 and at fairfield, we don't have a spare the air day. we suspect that you will see a late day sea breeze pick up, but you might have noticed if huh allergies, when you get high pressure over the bay area, it acts like a lid and 10s to trap a lot of pollen. hopefully we will have to scoop some of that and send it out towards the central valley. >> an interesting view causing mid-level clouds. no rain underneath, but you may notice them. bigger changes offshore. you can see the frontal system that will push in the sea breeze and drop the temperatures here as we wrap up. highs today near 92 so the trivalley is toasty today. 80 in san francisco. a sea breeze is picking up. low to mid 80s and no heat warnings. that's good news and as we go through the weekend, you will
