>> good morning. it's 4:30 october 28th. we do have rain in the forecast. rob is here with the latest models where it will fall and how it will affect the game. >> as we head through the afternoon, the rain moves from north to south thanks to the cloud cover. we are a lot warmer. nothing but mainly 50s across the board and you can see the reason why. the rain already starting around sonoma and moving down into marin late or this morning. mainly in the north bay to start. as we go through the day, we will see the rain on the approach to san francisco and oakland as we head through late or this evening. the forecast around the east bay, livermore and fremont and dublin, you will be dry throughout the day and dry into the evening, but the temperatures are starting to cool down as we are going to run into rain as we head to napa for this afternoon. north bay seeing the rain, some of it heavy at times. we will talk you through the timing and the inning by inning

forecast on tonight's game. >> let's go over to mike inouye with trouble in hayward. >> police activity that closed 880 and 92. the southbound side, the connector on towards the bridge is reopened. nothing to see. move along as you have all activity cleared up. a minor pursuit and no injuries. it should be cleared in the next few minutes. taking you over the water from the east bay. the bridge moves shootingly and a clear view across the water. if you are heading across the water, bart is a great option as well. no delays on the system and if you are heading to the game, that will help you avoid the crowds or some of crowds at least. we have longer trains running because of the trains. the bay bridge with the upper deck. back to you. >> let's get ready for game two of the world series. giants fever continues to sweep the bay area. it's contagious. even oakland a's fans are catching this.

today's game starts once again at 4:57. the starting pitcher will be matt and for the rangers it's c.j. wilson. wilson said he knows the giants have a heavily right-handed lineup and will focus on mixing up the pitches well. in game one, the fifth inning will go down as one of the great moments in bay area baseball. the giants scored six runs in the fifth, including a three-run homer by juan uribe. they cruise to an 11-7 victory. giants fans showing their prideb female fans in particular spending a lot of money. we hear the guys who run the dugout store, the giants dugout store restocked the women's section first. they are searching for style and many say it's hard to find flattering team sports wear. when they do, it feels good. >> for would be nice if there were a few more things and things are not really fitted towards the women.

last year and said she remains cancer-free. >> are new this morning, a major milestone in security at the port of oakland. they are celebrating success of their new security system for trucks. 5,000 trucks enrolled in the program as well as what's brought inside. the port of oakland is the fifth busiest container port in america. and the two big bay area lawmakers will draw attention to clean energy job training programs this morning. senator barbara boxer and george miller will visit contra costa college and go to the jobs training program preparing students to build the next generation of fuel-efficient cars. they will be at the college this morning. bed bugs becoming more and more common and can be in the best homes and hotels. new york city had a tremendous problem with them.

now they are investing an east bay city. christie smith is live with what's being done to get rid of the pests. >> reporter: good morning, scott. it's a problem when your own county created a bed bug task force. that's what's happening in contra costa county. the health department received a number of reports and complaints about infestations in apartments along the monument corridor. speakers from that task force will be educating neighbors on how to detect and manage bed bugs. bed bugs are small insects that feed on human blood and the bites get swollen and itchy. they are trying to get a better sense of how widespread this issue is here in the east bay. several groups are involved tonight to get that information out to you. if you want to learn more, it's tonight. 6:30 p.m. in the multipurpose

slamming on the brakes. the low pressure off to the west and it is basically stopped moving to the east. in theory that should be good because it keeps most of the rain off in the north bay. we suspect after sundown, the rain line will approach the coast. futurecast picking it up around the start of the game. most of the rain off to the east. as we head through the fifth and sixth inning, we see the rain line into tonight and tomorrow. scattered showers and cooler temperatures. game time forecast calls for increasing clouds and scattered showers. plan accordingly as we go through the game. the chances of rain drops will be on the increase through the end of the game. temperatures around the bay area and the east bay. mild across the south bay and obviously out towards the trivalley where the day could be dry. towards solano county and the northern end by this evening, we could see a few showers. the seven-day forecast, let's hope the game gets in because we have showers in the forecast friday into saturday. halloween we should dry out to

the person was not driving on the rim. they had no rim on the car. i'm not sure how you drive at all. southbound 880 and we have a carrot side of the road with damage and a miss rim. moves smoothly through oakland. a clear commute so far through the east bay. >> we are watching oakland and the east bay. we will show you the temperatures we are seeing. 56 degrees and more mild this morning as we have clouds spilling over the bay area and the wind in concord and livermore, 48 degrees and may see low 40s, but not as cold as yesterday. patchy frost and a lot of moisture aiming in mainly to the north of the bay area. this system bringing in showers across the north bay and for areas north between now and friday, we may see as much as five inches of rain, but probably less than a half inch south of san francisco. let's try to walk you through
