danger to our children. >> and police are still looking for the suspect this halloween eve. he is described as a man in his 40s with bushy salt and pepper hair and a tattoo up his arm almost to his wrist. friends and family will gather to remember the eighth victim of the san bruno explosion. services will be held at 5:00 at st. peters church in pacifica. he was rescued, but died 16 days later at the hospital. jackie spear will meet with san bruno residents at a town hall meeting. on the agenda are safety concerns following the explosion and fire held at st. roberts catholic church at 6:30. the california public utilities commission gave the president power to increase pressure in the pipeline. the president said he will only do so if a cold snap makes it necessary to keep them flowing

children's services and the hospital. this morning an american cement company is admitting they skipped a critical test. the halliburton company changed the amount of a critical ingredient mixed at the last minute. that means the contractor never did a stability test on the new blend. faulty cement that failed to seal the well was found to be one of the causes of the april 20th disaster. a scare in the skies. federal investigators are looking into what caused a two-foot hole to open up on the side of an american airlines plane mid-flight. passengers report hearing a loud explosion and loss of cabin pressure from miami to boston yesterday. persons and crew put on oxygen masks as the plane returned to miami for an emergency landing. >> lights were going on and off and noises and people were

we made it to friday. a live look across the golden gate bridge and you may find a little bit of ponding. good rain moving through san francisco this morning and almost 1/3 of an inch since midnight. 59 degrees as we get to the radar view from san francisco over to the san leandro now. the line of showers approaching the san mateo bridge. around walnut creek and mo raga, that continues to slowly advance and as we take you into san mateo, you can see where the rain line is. not quite into san jose, but the slow progression will continue to bring the showers into the santa clara valley. an interesting pattern with the rain at times and cold air offshore. could kickoff the isolated thundershowers. the cold air is an unstable environment. scattered showers early saturday and then on sunday, we are expecting clearing skies.

neighborhood here in oakland and we chose it because it's popular with kids and also dark. had has a lot of hills. this is one of the areas that would be a good example of that you want to keep an eye on your kids and keep them safe, especially when they want to get running to the next house to get that next bag of candy. according to the cdc, about 84% of accidents involving kids on halloween happen at non-intersections. some are choosing to cross in the middle of the street. another sobering number is that car-related fatalities jump about 30% on average on halloween night. the key here according to expert who is look into this sort of thing is seth the ground rules before you leave the house. increasing the visibility on your child. here are inside you may want to try. use a flashlight or some sort of reflective material on the costume. trick or treat on bright streets where they are well-lit and only

good friday morning. a live look outside, scattered showers expected over the weekend. when and where, we will check it out with rob. >> airport security screen suggest about to get a lot more hands on. persons will get enhanced pat down screening. tracie potts will be live with what's being done differently. >> for you don't like the full body scanners at sfo and other airports, you will be subject to an enhanced pat down. also if you fail the electronic screening, this is something you have to do. the tsa rolling this out today. what they will do is check passengers with the front of the hand instead of the back and check personal places. they said it's necessary to check for concealed explosives although they admit it may raise privacy concerns and they take

sunday. things will be nice and dry for halloween. this morning the rain is causing issues with the morning commute. >> most definitely. we have been talking about the 51ing that occurs. roadway flooding as far as the reports are going. one of the areas, 280 at 101, we have a connector ramp shut down because of a couple of cars. one is a taxy and another is a passenger car. that will last for a few mondays, but they had reports off and on the report for about 45 minutes. the two fast lanes reported flooding again at 101. expect the area to have spots of water drifting out into the roadway. use caution here and antioch and the commute through the east bay, we are looking at south of the commute. brent and highway 4 bypasses because of an overnight deadly accident. you will use highway 4 that will take you safely clear. the rain as it drifted through
