good morning. it's 4:30. big changes in store with the weather. >> considering just how warm it's been, this will be a big u-turn of the forecast come sunday. 50s and 60s outside and oakland one of the more mild spots and a north wind at 6 miles per hour. high clouds over the bay area and a little breezy in a few spots and starting to see the winds pick up. this system the first of a couple of systems that approach the bay area and weakens into saturday. sunday is when we will see big changes to both the temperatures and an increasing chance of rain. not today. trivalley mid- to upper 70s and low 70s around richmond and oakland. high today mid 70s. by the weekend we are talking highs in the 50s to low 60s with rain. we will have a look at that in the east bay seven-day forecast. >> sounds great.

across the state. it is opened people will express themselves civilly, but today in the east bay's christie smith is here with how police are preparing. >> good morning to you. oakland police and community leaders are expecting a smaller turn out than in past demonstrations. extra open police officers are on duty all day. they are also having outside law enforcement agencies on stand by just in case where peaceful demonstrations turned violent. after the former bart police officer was convicted july 8th of involuntary manslaughter for shooting passenger officer grant. many thought that was just way too lenient and some businesses in the downtown zone that were vandalized are boarded up today. police have an emergency operation center established to keep the public informed. parking in downtown is limited. here's the police chief.
