good morning. thanks for joining us. 5:00, i'm laura garcia-cannon. >> and i'm brent cannon. i want to get you moving with rob and a check of your hour-by-hour forecast which is going to be changing. >> yeah, it is a little bit cooler out this morning. we have 30s and 40s outside. san jose is the exception at 53 degrees. notice the temperatures still getting into low 70s inland today, then cooling as we approach the evening. so the weather today not all that bad. i can say the traffic looks better this morning, we've got mike back. >> traffic over the santa cruz mountains not great because there is an incident clearing from the southbound side. sheriff's officers checking out an accident on the northbound side but the person turned around and now they're just off the shoulder near summit road, so watch for that activity. meanwhile heading out of the south bay toward that scene, your flow is nice. northbound 280 at southbound 17, an earlier accident is there but you can pass by on the

connector. again, more activity to watch out for on the interchange. >> welcome back, mike. you can never have a day off again. it is almost certain that student fees are going to go up at uc campuses next year, but students and workers are not going down without a fight. hundreds of people are expected to protest outside of the uc regents meeting at ucsf mission day campus today. students posted personalized pictures and messages yesterday to put a face to the budget cuts. the board may raise student fees by 8% on top of the 32% increase approved last year. protesters say those fee hikes are pricing middle class families out of college. >> in the midst of all the cuts, csu students will soon have a new place to gather. san jose state university will start renovating its union building today. it will cost $90 million and include a food court, coffee shop, and others. the project will be funded from

the sale of bonds. they will be repaid through things such as concerts, gym memberships and space rentals. the new student union is expected to open in 2013. an anti-bullying campaign is generating controversy this morning in vallejo. all students in the vallejo city unified school district are required to watch three anti-bullying films that teach students about having respect for all, regardless of their sexual orientation. the videos are required as part of a legal settlement between the school district and the aclu. the case stems from complaints by a lesbian student that she was being bullied by teachers and school staff. but many parents now say students should be allowed to opt out of that program. they will voice their opinions during a meeting tonight. this morning a judge will continue to hear evidence in a brutal gang rape case to see if there is enough to bring the suspects to trial. one of the suspects arrested in connection with the case told officers the sex was consensual

and that he had done nothing wrong. officers on the scene say they found the unconscious and partially naked girl underneath a picnic table outside of the homecoming dance at richmond high school in october, 2009. officers say more than a dozen people watched and they claim the girl was raped and beaten by the seven men for more than two hours. meg whitman's former housekeeper and her attorney will be in the south bay today to demand money from whitman. she is asking the former candidate for governor for thousands of dollars in unpaid wages. she says that whitman owes her back pay. she will be at a meeting at the california division of labor and standards and will then talk about it to the media during a news conference afterwards. slots versus pot. that's what one east bay city will be considering tonight. voters in richmond rejected a plan to build a casino, and now developers say the only other economical option is to build a huge medical marijuana facility

where pot could be grown, packaged and sold. opponents say the report is slanted to make the casino look better by comparison. the public will be able to weigh in at 7:00 tonight at 440 civic center plaza. a new proposal in san francisco could disarm police during split-second decisions. the chief is considering a new rule that would ban officers from shooting and moving vehicles even if they're in danger of being run over. right now police cannot fire at any moving vehicle unless they are in immediate danger. boston and l.a. already have similar policies. just last week two officers were dragged by suspects during traffic stops, causing them to open fire. this afternoon president obama will congratulate a bay area professor and nobel laureate. dr. stanley pusner will be among the people honored by president obama today. he holds the 2009 national medal of science for his ground-breaking work in understanding neurodejen rafb

diseases. he also discovered the protein thought to cause mad cow disease. the national medal of science is the nation's highest honor given to scientists, engineers and the inventors. he won the 1997 nobel prize for medicine. winning the world series is great for the san francisco giants but muni says the playoff run cost them a lot more money than usual. muni took on nearly half a million dollars in unplanned operating costs, carrying extra crowds to games and the world series victory parade. they put eight extra trains and ten extra buses into service during each home playoff game. the transit agency also put 60 more parking control officers, car cleaners and mechanics on duty. and it spent $98,000 to clean up vandalism after the giants clinched the pennant and during the victory parade. it is 5:05 right now.

too windy. kind of a mirror-like view across the bay this morning. oakland 46 degrees. the wind is relatively light to calm. around san jose we're seeing temperatures in the upper 40s. the radar scan is dry and this will be one of the last mornings we'll see dry weather. tomorrow morning will be dry but friday changes ahead as all this active weather slamming the pacific northwest drops further south beginning late thursday into friday and that's going to lead to a big drop in temperatures. today looks pretty nice. we'll see temperatures one more day in the 70s inland but dropping into the 60s around san francisco and the coast. we'll see low clouds returning later on. here you go, the seven-day forecast will bring in rain on friday into saturday, but the big headline is the big drop in temperatures. highs only in the 50s this weekend. scattered showers all the way into monday and tuesday of next week. back to you. >> kwoquite a change, amazing. it was supposed to say thank you on the receipt, but now one northern california burger king is in hot water for what the receipt actually said.

good morning, everybody. nice-looking shot across the bay this morning and the bay bridge. you see folks making their way into the city, and nice, glistening lights. not a lot of wind but there are changes in the works. rob will have details in just a few minutes. in the meantime, new video this morning of the erupting volcano in indonesia. you can see it spewing a large amount of ash into the sky once again. that volcano has been erupting for more than three weeks now, sometimes violently. nearby cities are virtually empty now, and tourists are avoiding the northern part of the country. the eruption has killed more than 250 people and forced about

400,000 people from their homes. it's 5:11 right now. this morning victims of bullying are fighting back. students from area high schools are challenging each other and school officials to do more to fight bullying on campuses. some bullying has led to suicide attempts. a manneda brownel tried to hang herself in the school bathroom after a couple of girls bullied her. she survived but now has brain damage. >> i would spend my break and lunch in the girl's bathroom or empty hallways of my high school in order to avoid getting verbal threats or things thrown at me as i walked down the crowded halls. >> school officials who attended the meeting vowed to make their campuses a safe place for learning instead of a hate zone for bullying. there will be no more raids at the cow palace at least for now. the board approved a moratorium at music and dance parties at the state-run entertainment

venue. it comes on the heels of numerous drug and alcohol overdoses including two deaths this year. the board did not specify how long that ban might last. we've all heard the statistics about how dangerous distracted driving can be. now the government is going beyond the numbers to get through to people. the department of transportation is unveiling the faces of distracted driving. it's a video campaign that shows the great and sometimes deadly effects caused by drivers who aren't paying attention to the road. secretary of transportation ray lahood says distracted driving is as dangerous as drunk driving. >> it simply is not safe. and our job at d.o.t. is to make sure that we put faces with these statistics. >> last year 5500 people died and half a million people were injured because of distracted drivers. california is home to some of the best doctors in the world, but when it comes to premature births, the state is not making the grade.

the march of dimes gave california a "c" when it comes to its preterm birth rate. they considered factors like the number of uninsured women, the number of women who smoke and the number of preterm births. preterm births is the leading cause of newborn deaths in the united states, but i will say here in the bay area, we have some phenomenal neonatal care units for preemys and i know firsthand. scott mcgrew joins us with a meeting of the minds in the silicon valley. >> the director of the fbi itself met with facebook executives to talk about governmental power that would give washington power to wire tap and record what you do online. on facebook, twitter, e-mail, all kinds of places that the bad guys that communicate that really aren't covered by old wire tap rules. facebook told "the new york times" the director met with facebook as well as with google but did not elaborate on the

meetings. general motors is on the cusp of the biggest ipo in american history. the car company expanding the number of shares it will offer as each price on each share continues to rise. we expect the formerly bankrupt car maker, brent and laura, to go public tomorrow, making it the biggest ipo. can you tell me who the biggest ipo was up ntill now? >> a tech stock. >> it's out of san francisco. >> i was thinking there was a time -- >> that tech was huge. >> in 2000. all week long we're trying to make sure that bay area families have a nice meal for thanksgiving. the need is greater than ever at bay area food banks. this morning kris sanchez is live in the willow glen neighborhood at one of the places that sure could use your help. kris? >> reporter: good morning to you, brent.

end hunger and make thanksgiving a little brighter for a bay area family. well, a fast food restaurant in sacramento is serving up more than just the price on its receipts. after paying nearly $10 for a double whopper meal, francisco perez looked at his receipt. at the top in big, bold letters, a four-letter profanity that starts with "f." perez says he was embarrassed and wants an explanation. that should be easy to get since the employees names were also on the receipt. a shift manager on the store says he's investigating the incident. >> it just wouldn't be the holidays without stockings, tinsel and scams. this season your kids could be the main target. the consumer protection website jabber says scammers are promising kids free stuff in exchange for them filling out a survey or watching videos online. personal information can then be used by identity thieves.

experts say kids are more easily lured into these kinds of scams this time of year because the ads usually name toys that are on the kids' wish lists. have you got tired, blurry eye that say don't seem to focus? you may think you need shut-eye but you could be suffering from what some eye doctors are calling computer vision syndrome. >> people have multiple problems when looking at a computer screen. it could be a visual problem. i can't see it, the screen is blurred. it could be a functional problem in that their eyes aren't working well together but that doesn't lead to blur first, but strain. >> experts say computer vision syndrome is easy to fix. often it's just a matter of ergonomics. if your monitor is set too high or your chair is not in the right position, it's harder to focus on the computer screen. you can also get eyeglasses specific for the computer. that means they're for seeing not distance or reading up close, rather they just help your eyes focus on the screen.

the time now is 5:20. we want to focus on the screens that mike has because these can help you get around. glad you're back. >> pay close attention because we're starting with the east shore freeway and that's a nice drive. in fact about this time of year traffic starts to ease up as far as the volume goes and traffic patterns start to shift because of vacations, including thanksgiving, which is next week. we're looking over here at an easy drive towards the berkeley curve. no problems on the upper deck. we'll give you a shot of the bridge itself and see the volume of traffic. the lower deck there's a disabled vehicle reported as you're heading towards treasure island. the slow lane is blocked. no major disruption out of san francisco right now, just watch for the flashing lights as a crew is arriving on scene to help that person over the next few minutes. the south bay, two incidents, one remains. 280 at 17, that interchange is now cleared but further south on 17, there is still an accident clearing at the summit. the sheriff's department was there helping out the person who got into an accident and they're pulled over just off the roadway but that slow lane, consider

welcome back at 5:24 right now. san jose 47 degrees, cooling off. not much wind this morning. a few areas of patchy fog around the north and east bay valleys. right now san francisco 51. not much wind but you can see low clouds there hovering around the bay bridge right down there on the water line this morning. and into oakland we're at 46 degrees, winds relatively light. the winds eventually turn more of a sea breeze heading into the afternoon and that's the reason why places like oakland and san francisco will be cooling down a few degrees later on today. some of the weather headlines for you, patchy fog. it will be a chilly start so you'll want a jacket no matter where you are. by the afternoon still some low 70s inland but we'll start to see some cooling today. bigger changes arriving friday as rain comes back in and temperatures really drop off for this upcoming weekend. right now the satellite and radar view looks mainly clear and dry across the bay area, but you can see all the action up here to the north. that will start to slide to the south as you go into thursday and friday. so for tomorrow the changes ahead will be continued cooling.

by thursday highs will only be in the 50s and 60s. rain-free tomorrow. friday, though, things start to change up as we watch the jetstream dive further south. we'll see moisture pumping on in. chance of rain on friday. snow levels close to 3,000 feet. that will give you an indication how chilly it will be for the weekend ahead. 73 for today for san jose so the last of our kind of warm days. we're cooling off. you'll see that around san francisco and oakland for this afternoon. low 70s inland. for concord and oakland, highs in the 60s. we'll cool down even more tomorrow. friday a chance of rain and those highs, it's going to be chilly this weekend, low to mid-50s with scattered showers continuing all the way until the early part of tuesday next week. >> oh, yay, just in time for the weekend. thanks, rob. about 400,000 men looking a little scruffy this month for a cause. november is a leading fund-raiser for prostate cancer. men start the month clean shaven

let's get started with rob and your hour-by-hour forecast. >> today will be the last day we'll see 70s around the bay area. 50s to near 60s to near 70 around lunchtime today. then the sea breeze will kick in and cool us off a little bit today, but for the weekend we're talking highs only in the 50s with some rain and mountaintop snow. we'll show you that coming up in the seven-day forecast in a few minutes. >> thanks. new this morning, the search is on for the person who shot a 21-year-old man to death outside of a convenience store in antioch. we have new video from just a short time ago as police were actually out there collecting evidence and doing their investigating. the shooting happened just before 9:00 last night in the parking lot of a 7-eleven store on buchanan road. officers found 21-year-old jeffrey flynn levy of antioch shot in a car. police are talking with a passenger who was in the car but

cowering on the floors. they were still there and it was still open at the time. police say the robbers then herded about 40 people, you see them doing it here, into a storeroom. by the time police arrived, those robbers had left and were gone away. you will notice that the man in the red, one of the robbers, was wearing a mask. all three of them were wearing masks, so right now police do not have much of a description. oakland teachers gave the student union -- the union, rather, the go ahead to call a strike if necessary. however, the move is mostly symbolic. fewer than 15% of union members actually voted. union leaders say while the workforce is angry, a strike is not looming. teachers are concerned about pay and benefits. earlier this year the school board voted to impose a contract on the teachers union without any raises or increases. teachers reacted with a one-day strike in april, demanding raises and smaller class sizes. there is, the district points out, no money. dire warnings about global

warming may mean -- of meant to increase awareness and create change but a psychologist at uc berkeley says the warnings might back fire, do the opposite, and increase skepticism about global warming. the author of the study says warnings about the potentially devastating consequences of global warming threatens people's view of the world as being safe, stable and fair. that means people could be more likely to respond to those warnings by cutting back on their plans to go green. research shows people often dismiss information that threatens their core beliefs. the oakland mayor who was known for cancelling appearances has cancell eled his last appearance as mayor. he will release his state of the city report online today. city staff have been working for weeks gathering information about applicators during his four years in office. the report and a video will be posted to the city's website today. oakland's mayor-elect has gone global.

jean quan getting a huge number of requests to do interviews with the chinese press. she is the first chinese american and woman to be elected mayor of a major u.s. city. one city leader says she is hoping that she can position herself to bring more business from china to the port of oakland. >> the relationship actually will be a great one. mayor-elect jean quan will be there promoting international trade and also promoting the international relationship. >> quan will take office january 3rd. 49ers hunt for a new kicker could end today. >> go ahead. >> the team says the kicker, joe nedney, hurt his right knee during last sunday's game and is not likely to play this sunday against the buccaneers. the niners had a few kickers try out yesterday. they will probably announce the signing of a new temporary kicker today. no word on how long that kicker is going to be needed. the niners plan to reevaluate

nedney's injury next week. the team waived receiver jason hill in order to make room for the new kicker. the warriors dealing with bad news of their own. power forward david lee is apparently out for the next two to three weeks. it's all because of a play you're going to see here on november 10th. he goes up for a rebound and comes down with an elbow to wilson chandler's mouth. chandler loses a few teeth while lee gets a major gash in his left elbow. that gash is apparently infected and they now need to flush it out. you can meet your favorite golden state warrior as well as the warrior girls in oakland today at the lucky supermarket on ninth street. the pleasure, the coaches and cheerleaders will hand out holiday food baskets to more than 300 families and that starts at 3:00 this afternoon. welcome to san francisco, now pay up. they may soon get you coming and going. the city's transportation authority might start charging for your rush hour commute, up

to $6 as you enter and leave san francisco from the south bay during the workweek. the city could spend $60 to $100 million to set up an electronic toll system at the san mateo county border. people heading into the city from the south would pay $3 during the commute and $3 in the evening at rush hour. according to caltrans, roughly half a million drivers drive from san mateo county into san francisco each day on one of five highways. boy, we've got a problem on 101 out there. there's a big crate to report. >> that's in a similar area you were just talking about with tolls so i don't think the crate would be charged because it's not actually traveling, but watch southbound 101. through the area around san mateo, that's where we always see the slowdown through the morning. that is a very accurate point where you would get a lot of tolls gathered if that does go into effect. it might cause some folks heading from the east bay to rethink their route as well.

right now it's a smooth drive coming through the maze and no major issues, including heading south towards the san mateo bridge. you're at the limit heading over the water into 101 which is a very light flow. a live look at 92 shows us a steady flow. you can clearly see lights across the high rise as well so that's a nice, clear shot and the camera is not shaking, so no major wind here. >> we're not seeing too much in the way of gusty winds this morning, mike. it's a little chilly, though. a few spots in the 30s. you're seeing that around fairfield, nap a getting close to the 30s, 46 in oakland, 47 in san jose. mike just pointed out not much wind this morning. eventually the breeze will pick up off the ocean. we'll see cooling around the peninsula and coast. no rain to worry about today but the reason why our temperatures are really going to drop a lot this weekend is a system that drops out of the gulf after las will pack a lot of cold air and drop our temperatures and give us quite a few raindrops we think as well starting around friday. so today pretty nice.

caffeine out of these drinks. the big controversy is mixing the caffeine and the alcohol. that's what the fda is expected to announce is unsafe. and the ftc, the federal trade commission, will follow them by saying if it's unsafe, then it can't be marketed here in the united states. but phusion projects says we're going to go ahead and take the caffeine out, even though they believe it's safe. they still 1 tend that the drink is okay. but they say this is a difficult and politically charged regulatory environment and they just don't think it's worth trying to market the drinks that way. there are already five states t that have banned these drinks along with several colleges after that incidents in washington state where nine students ended up in the hospital after drinking it. big questions about whether it's being marketed specifically to underage drinkers, college students, where it has become very popular. but the new information today, laura, phusion projects says that it will take the caffeine out and now the fda says the drinks are unsafe so we'll wait

to see what other states may do to follow. >> it will be interesting to see. thank you very much, tracie. new this morning, an accused international arms dealer known as the merchant of death is expected to appear in a new york city courtroom today. he was extradited from thailand yesterday. attorney general eric holder says he is one of the world's most prolific arms traffickers, accused of selling millions of dollars of weapons to terrorist organizations. he will be in court this afternoon. bp is in hot water this morning after accusations that it ignored a series of warnings prior to the explosion leading to the giant oil spill in the gulf of mexico. an independent panel says bp failed to learn from near misses and showed insufficient consideration of risk. there are only partial findings in this report. the final report will be released in june. the april explosion killed 11 people and triggered the worst oil spill in u.s. history. the time now 5:44.

good morning, everybody. thanks for joining us. i'm brent cannon. >> and i'm laura garcia-cannon. we'll get to traffic and weather for you in about three minutes, but first thanksgiving is certainly a time to reflect on how much we've been given and a chance to give those -- to those who are less fortunate. this year the need is greater than ever. kris sanchez is live in san jose this morning with a look at how people are getting creative to get into that giving spirit of the holidays. good morning, kris. >> reporter: good morning to you, laura. this is one of the barrels, one of the 13,000 barrels of the second harvest food bank is trying to fill in order to feed people all year long. they're also trying to raise $11 million and that's just one bay area food bank. we know we have plenty of others around the nine county area in the bay area. now this hair studio and spa is doing something a little creative. this is your tenth year of doing a food drive. you're trying to get 4,000 pounds. why do you go through the trouble? >> oh, it comes naturally for us. not just as a team because we have an amazing team, but also

our culture. our clients are so amazingly supportive. they look forward to it. they look forward to what creativity we'll do this year. in the past we have given discounts on hair cuts but this year we're giving an upgrade to the hair cut. we're going to include a treatment. we have different solutions for different hair challenges or scalp challenge. i think that that's really going to turn some heads. >> reporter: that's an awesome deal. this is just one of the creative food drives we found around town. san mateo high school have big banners up and they're doing a canned food drive at their high school. also we found a fitness boot camp class where they encourage folks to bring pumpkins to use as weights during the workout and then donated those. palo alto's ethics community property trust is doing a virtual food drive. that's what a lot of big corporations are doing to try to get money and donations in as well. they are at 52% of their

donation goal so far this year. you can drop your donations off at barrels like this one or all about the bay area or get a barrel of your own if you have a creative idea. make your kids do a talent show for canned foods. why not. you never know what's going to pay off. in san jose, kris sanchez, "today in the bay." >> thank you, kris. thanksgiving now just ten days away, and for many of our friends and neighbors it's going to be a difficult time. many will go without unless they get a helping hand. food banks like the redwood empire food bank will do what they can to help. people like brad halladay never think that they will be the ones needing that help. a change for him after he lost his job this past february. >> i used to think that people standing in the food bank lines were all the people who were too lazy to go out and get a job or what other circumstances there might be, but i found out that a lot of people in line were just like me, someone who needed a helping hand at the moment, that

15-minute drive slowing out of the altamont pass. a little blip around highway 84 in the heart of livermore. let me show you 880 before the south bay forecast. right here we're showing you the volume increasing northbound past high street. a nice, easy drive as far as the speeds go but look at that volume of traffic filling in all these lanes. we'll see slowing downtown as well as the south approaching the 92 interchange. now continuing town to the south bay let me show you that earlier map. we have the roadways cleared of incidents but 101 starts to show slowing just north of 880 as well as approaching the 680/280 interchange. over the santa cruz summit, quite a bit of slowing approaching idyllwild and summit road with an incident waiting for a tow truck to clear the car. i'll follow this and it should clear in about ten minutes. we'll see how that shapes up. meanwhile at least it's not raining there right now. >> nice and dry right now. the only thing slowing you down weatherwise might be a little patchy fog.

cool start to the morning and another nice day with temperatures in the 70s. the last day we'll see 70s around parts of the bay area. beginning friday it's the rain that's coming back and a big drop in temperatures heading towards the weekend. so patchy fog this morning. around lunchtime we should see mostly 60s inland. places like los gatos and fairfield getting into the low 70s this afternoon but we'll see a sea breeze pick up later on that will continue to cool us off heading into tomorrow and then starting friday here comes the chance of rain and a chilly, breezy weekend ahead with highs only in the 50s. scattered showers into tuesday of next week. >> thank you very much. new this morning, we now know what caused a plane that crashed killing more than 150 people in india back in may. investigators say it was a pilot who slept through much of the three-hour flight and was disoriented when he tried to land. the plane overshot the runway and plunged into a gorge before bursting into flames. 158 people on board were killed. eight managed to make it out

alive. the air india flight originated in dubai. now to a story that is blowing up on the blogs. it mixes kids and airports and the controversial new security paddowns. a 3-year-old got a patdown at an airport in tennessee. her dad is a tv reporter and caught the ordeal on video. and you can see that she's kind of upset there. we should point out that the video and this report came from a blog. the little girl is screaming and kicking her feet as they gave her the patdown. she had triggered an alarm after passing through a metal detector three times. you know, this is the kind of thing a lot of people are talking about. this is why they're so controversial. >> supposedly they had to give her the patdown and she became very upset, she was crying. they were having trouble putting her through the metal detector. >> and we're getting conflicting reports about who has to go. there were reports young kids don't have to have the patdown but scott mcgrew has been

following that and has new information. >> we can't hear you. we still can't hear you. >> the way the tsa has posted rules online, everybody has to pass through security. tsa says anyone, regardless of age, can opt out of those bull body scans, and there's talk in the united kingdom about whether it's appropriate to send children through full body scanners because of the invasive pictures, but if you don't want to be scanned, you will be frisked and that is regardless of age. the big question for parents may be are these scanners safe. again, the government says yes. there are two kinds of body scanners, the one that everybody is worried about is called back scatter x-ray. the amount of radiation you get from the machine is a fraction of a fraction of the radiation you get flying in a big metal tube in the sky. a lot of people don't realize it, but flying is generally your

biggest exposure to radiation you get all year. so the most danger at the airport is actually in the airplane as far as the radiation goes. but this is tough for parents. do you send them through the scary booth or let some stranger investigate your children. and that's tough. >> yeah, it is. thank you very much. the first living medal of honor recipient since the vietnam war will be honored again today, this time at the pentagon. staff sergeant salvador gunta will be inducted into the heroes. the 25-year-old stepped into the line of fire to help two comrades on the battlefield. while under fire he pulled a fellow soldier to cover and rescued another who was being dragged away by the enemy. we are learning more about a bizarre story involving a san francisco giants player who allegedly took part in a fake holdup. police in new jersey just released 911 tapes that they say

proves giants outfielder darren ford lied to them. the incident allegedly happened while ford was playing in the minor leagues. >> what color was the car? >> black. it was a black car on the side. there was two cars. a black car on the side and a purplish color. >> now there's two cars? >> yes. >> police say that he faked his own robbery, pretending to get robbed at gunpoint in order to steal $1500 in cash and checks from a car dealership where he was working at the time. the 911 tapes were released yesterday. ford responded by saying that he was still telling the truth about that robbery. >> they didn't believe me and, you know, maybe because of who i am. i'm not perfect, nobody is. you know, it's something that happens. live and learn from it. >> ford has applied for a pretrial intervention, which means if it gets approved, he would pay the money back to the car dealership and he will maintain a clean criminal record. the 25-year-old was called up to
