for 60,000 riders. a couple of minutes ago, a small group of people going down stairs are going to get ready to handout the tickets just in time for you to get out to the mall and shop for a gift. the give away starts right now for three hours. 60,000 commuters will get a pair of bart tickets. each good for a one-way bart trip on the weekend starting this weekend and running through the weekend of december 19th. you can avoid sdprask bart also has free parking available on the weekend. they are reminding people also that they serve downtown oakland, san francisco, san bruno, walnut creek, san le ando and rock ridge shopping districts. if you are not a big shopper, catch a holiday show. it's at a couple of bart stations whether it's downtown at berkeley and 12th street sea

in the running of having the track built. >> ticketed for simply following police orders. it happened on a standoff on november 11th. bob redell is live with a look at why drivers got the ticks in getting out of the way for a standoff. >> november 11th, rush hour in the morning came to a halt on the upper deck of the bay bridge. a man in an suv pulled over and threatened to blow up the bridge. he was arrest and didn't have a bomb, but during that hour or so that traffic was backed up, a lot of cars were ordered to turn around and through the toll plaza gate. the toll plaza gates are by fast track. the electronic toll system and fast track distinguishes between the people turning around because of police activity or cheating their way through the toll game. the computer sent many of those

drivers a $36 ticket and adding to the frustration of having that morning commute ruined that morning. the metropolitan transportation commission that oversee this is as acknowledgement and if you have received one of the tickets, all you have to do is appeal the ticket and explain what happened. you are on the bridge that morning during the standoff and ordered around and take care of the ticket. you will not be charged at all. in front of the bay bridge, bob redell, today in the bay. >> the website wiki leaks is kicked off computer servers own bide amazon.com. i guess this will be bad press. >> wikileaks didn't even know they had it on their servers. they rent out servers and computer time to other companies. some of your favorite websites

they got up early and you are here for the olympic trials being held here in san jose. a great event for people to watch. >> it's a prime event. you feel the olympic excitement and the olympic fever. that's always a great, great meet and they are calling off the olympic trial in san jose, california. it will bring back memories of amy chow and all the members of the olympic team. >> it's great to see. you can see the future olympians themselves. when did you start with gymnastics? >> i was 4 and i'm almost 25 now. i was into it for a long time. in my entire life. like bela said, the excitement is coming up, but i will be a long time. to be a part of the trials, it will be my third time and i can't wait.

one lane blocked in northbound 17 north of the summit. that is causing the slow down. a lighter volume heading northbound. the southbound side we see the typical slowing coming down towards the summit and that's a distraction as well. the to truck should be removing the car. the rest of the south bay already. slowing at actually as you approach montegue. use capital or take montegue. the metering lights just turned on. the back up at fast track going back to the parking lot. very quick. >> a bay area transit agency is apologizing for ticketing drivers in a police standoff on november 11th when a man parked his carrot upper span and allegedly threatened to blow up the bridge. how following police orders is

getting drivers ticketed. >>. >> reporter: just another headache for the drivers. they were stuck on the bay bridge in the standoff for over an hour. now they are having to deal with this. the bottom line is it will be resolved, the results of a computer glitch. this man pulls over and he said i've got a and i'm going to blow up the bridge. that's what the towards are alleging. he did not have a bomb and the stand off was over. it went on for about an hour or so. police order the drivers to go back down the inskplin path of the toll plaza, fast track with the sole system ledgestered a license plate thinking they were not realizing they were just following police orders. many received the automated ticket in the mail, a $36 fine
