redmond taught at park middle school for the past 27 years. meanwhile, gunfire kills one man, hospitalized another. the double shooting happened at 8:00 lath night at international boulevard in the san antonio district. police have not released the details. no suspects have been arrested. hundreds of oakland teachers with layoff warnings last month will keep their jobs. they say the district will not lay off any regular elementary schoolteachers or 17 music teachers. now teachers without proper certification to teach english learners will get layoff notices on may 15th. the superintendent says she's trying to figure out whether they will have to lay off middle and high school teachers and counselors. this morning, b.a.r.t.'s board of directors is searching

court. the killings of three other northern california women. investigators say they found photographs and writings by him in his reno home that linked him to the deaths. they say there could be more. >> the case is ongoing in an investigative posture. we have the counts that we believe the evidence is sufficient to prosecute at this point. >> reporter: he's accused of killing two women in the '70s and two in the early '90s. all of them with first and last names starting with the same letters. similar to up state new york's alphabet murders of the 1970. he lived in the rochester area at the time. tonight, her niece who is named after her aunt talked to us by phone. she hopes for closure for all the families. and a death sentence for him. >> it's never been forgotten but

nasdaq up to 16721. it's all making headlines this morning. bp is facing angry protesters today. nearly a year after the explosion of the deep water horizon led to the gulf coast oil spill. they are expected to voice their frustration over the accident which a report blames on the failings of bp's management. some of the biggest shareholders including two public pension funds will vote against the report and the re-election of certain members. after a long delay, apple may be close to selling that white iphone after all. apples asian suppliers have sta started production. that means you may see them in stores in the next month or so. they had a lot of manufacturing issues with the white iphone. trying to keep the paint from peeling under heat.

on today. this is kind of interesting. we have an interesting set-up here. the storm track dividing the state in half in terms of where high pressure is keeping things clear and where we are seeing the showers. you can see now, the clouds are coming into the bay area. high pressure is going to build today. that will bump the storm track to the north. it's going to stay to the immediate north. we have about a 10% rain chance each day for the next few days. still under the influence of high pressure. it will still climb toward 70 degrees and a few showers here and there especially in the north bay. an interesting set-up. i wanted to point that out. 45 degrees in san jose. gilroy, 46. bring a jacket. 67 degrees in concord, 66 in fairfield. warmer, i'd say, a touch warmer than the east bay. today, upper 60s. tomorrow, the 70s.

by the coliseum, i did want to -- faa makes an announcement to protect the airways. starting today, a secondary traffic controller will be added to 27 towers that currently have only one controller on duty after midnight. the decision follows an incident yesterday that a loan controller at reno airport fell asleep while a medical team was landing. this is the second time they were found to be asleep on the job. you may get a refund if an airline loses your luggage. the transportation department considering a rule change that would force airlines to give a refund if your luggage is delays. airlines lose 2 million bags last year and bag fees rack in more than $3 billion in revenue every year.
