for folks out of the tunnel. >> thank you, mike. >> a developing news story in the east bay where a fight over black friday mds. live at the wal-mart with san spd leanzro. police are not sure if he was the shooter. the victim is listed as critical, but stable condition. now the shooting happened at 1:50 this morning at this wal-mart as a family was leaving with some purchases and walking to their car. the family was confronted by several men who attempted to rob them. when one of the family members resisted, one of the robbers shot him. most of the attackers fled the scene. it's not clear fi that got away with mds. others were table to detain one of the men who attacked them.

the twin engine plane crashed in the mountains east of phoenix, killing all six people on board. witnesses reported a fiery mushroom cloud after the plane flew into the side of the mountain. they were traveling to arizona for thanksgiving. the cause of the crash has not been determined yesterday. this morning protesters are demanding change. they are keeping demonstrators peaceful this morning. they want the military government to transfer power to civilian leadership. yesterday they appointed a new prime minister who will try to form a government. parliamentary elections in egypt are expected to begin on november 28th. 6:13. one man telling his amazing story of survival this morning after her su vooifed a wildfire in western australia.

bay. now less of them through union city and hayward towards fremont. you can see this line is weakening. as it heads south, high pressure behind the system will ensure a dry forecast. one that will have to watch out for the inland fog that will set up as early as later on tonight, and with the winds turning slightly offshore. we typically see this after recent rain. high pressure builds in. and the fog in the valleys can drift to the west. so inland east bay valleys, watch out for the fog for the morning. could get thick out towards the delta. and then low 60s inland. the weekend forecast is warminging up. if we can manage to shake off the fog, should be a gorgeous finish to your holiday weekend. but some of the fog may slow the

of traffic, there's an accident blocking two lanes. we expect slowing there as well. back to you. a not so happy thanksgiving at the occupy oakland camp after protesters slashed with police. police reportedly told the driver he was not allowed to enter frank ogawa plaza because he zid not have the proper permit. the driver was trying to deliver port-a-potties but was told to leave. a lot of fast cash ideas around the state capitol this morning. the deal would include some prime real estate, including the earl warren building in san francisco, which actually houses the state supreme court. the sacramento bee reporting the money would come from public bonds instead of private equity

and the streaming lights past the area. that's highway 101. we are checking parking lots around the bay as best we can. it's black friday, in case we haven't mentioned it before. >> we had almost forgot. thank you, mike. 6:31. an east bay man leaving a wal-mart store is shot as a result of a fight over black friday merchandise. monty francis is live at the wal-mart store in san leandro. so we are hearing this is directly related to black friday. marla, good morning. that man is in stable condition. another man is arrested. police are not sure if she's the shooter. police say the family was leaving with some purchases. once in the parking lot they were confronted by several men.

things will be dry over the next holiday weekend. probably don't need the umbre a umbrella. 37 in san jose. 51 in san francisco. winds generally off the ocean. that's keeping our temperatures up in the mid 40s for most places this morning. and we will be watching patchy fog towards the east bay valleys. we did have a little bit of light rain that pushed out of the north bay through 5:00 a.m. and then in the last half hour. did cross through heyward and union sfi. that boundary is fizzling out around the bay area. high pressure is building in behind this morning's system, which means dry weather. we're watching for the fog to set up in the east bay valleys that could drift west through the weekend. a dry forecast to say the at least as we track you into the weekend. today, low 60s. pretty much bay area wide. and here we go.

good morning, jon, monumental it is. some stores are opening as early at 9:00 p.m. last night. many others at midnight. then a big start on shopping. they are already done with the holiday shopping. because they were able to get such an early start. that's one sign of how aggressive retailers are being this black friday. they're also taking to technology to get a leg up on their competition. one way is expanding the cyber shopping and moving it to the mobile shops. the idea is being that will be able to target shoppers while they're in the store. maybe, in fact, that at competitors they would be able

to get the mobile deals and leave the competition and come to their store or make a purchase online. some people are saying all of those things have gone too far and black friday has become too big. one target employee asked target to not open on thanksgiving day. 200,000 signatures on the petition. they want the holiday to spend with their family. many stores are saying they didn't want to open on thanksgiving day, but were forced to because competitors did so. they spend so much, that retailers really need to take advantage of that. sounds like a party out there. thank you very much, janel.

no delays reported. and part is adding as many seats as they can because they know there will be a lot of shoepers. a woman in southern california wanted something so bad on black friday she resorted to using pepper spray. no joke. more than a dozen people had to be treated by paramedics. about 20 people had to be checked out by paramedics because of what happened late last night. i want to show you this video from youtube. check this out. >> that's what it looked like and sounded like inside. the doored opened, and the mad rush crowd went in there. i don't think mike inouye could have been able to happened l the traffic. and a woman with her kids pulled out pepper spray because she wanted to get closer to the

there. there's no word on what led to the shooting. the santa rosa police department have taken over the investigation. we have new details about the death of the leader of san jose's chapter of hells angels. a witness says it was not an assassination plot. simply a loud mouth loose cannon who provoked a fight that ended in the deadly shooting. jeffrey petigrew was shot and killed on september 23rd. witnesses say just an hour earlier it looked like there was a truce between the hells angel and the rival motorcycle gang. then a fight erupted followed by a deadly shootout. he and two other members are charged with killing pettigrew. well, a public memorial will be held for the 19-year-old danville marine killed in
