i'm jon kelley. >> good morning. i'm laura garcia-cannon. let's check the forecast with christina loren. back to work monday. it's quiet out there for wunsz to start out this workweek. 51 in san francisco. but you're at 29 chilly degrees in gilroy. colder through tonight. we'll take you through the forecast and tell you what's changing a little bit. coming up first, let's check your drive with mike inouye. >> let's get things going with a stall. it's oakland using the caldecott tunnel. in the middle, reports of that disabled vehicle. investigators now looking into a disturbing animal cruelty case taking place in the east bay. more than a dozen geese and

ducks were shot and in killed in recent weeks. today in the bay's christie smith is live in concord. good morning. we're hearing one of the geese is struggling to survive. >> reporter: it was shot in the leg. this is a disturbing story. someone is going around shooting ducks and geese in city parks. this is surrounded by homes. the video that we have certainly isn't pleasant. but it tells what's going on here. police found four geese shot to death this weekend. right off of turtle creek road. and a fifth one and a fifth one was hit and might die from its wounds. visitors made the discovery this weekend and reported it to police. animal services is also saying that this happened last month. similar incident, different

parks, and that someone may have used a pellet gun or air gun. animal cruelty is a felon in california. police are asking anyone with information to give them a call. redwood city police are looking for the person who two people outside of burger king. it happened just after 7:00 last night. the manager at the restaurant says a regular customer walked in with a bullet wound and asked for help. the man said his friend outside was also shot. so far there's no word on the condition of the two men. how they ended up on the property of the sfo. it's right across the highway 101 from the airport.

the coroner's office has not released the cause death yet. the area is closed off to the public. so someone would have that had to climbed the fence to get the body in there. dozens of san francisco families displaced by an apartment fire will get to go home to survey the damage today. many of them are waking up in the shelter set up by the red cross a firefighter suffered minor secures. firefighters say seven units were destroyed by the fire. >> officials at the port of oakland are enlisting the public to stop a planned protest. they've taken out a full page ad to get the word out.

protesters are calling for a prepete performance. thousands shut down the port of oakland. they happened l $8 million of imports and exports of an average day a shutdown would be costly. >> it's unwisely targeting the port. shutting down this port won't advance the goal of disparity in the country. the people who work here tr the 99%. >> it's disheartening to see what the port of oakland said. it's good to know we have them scared. essentially this action is really hitting at the real wheels and gears of what some would call the 1%. the occupy movement plans to occupy all ports with oakland, san diego, portland, seattle and washington. this week will be major for

mayor quan. they are bringing up a peation to recall her this week. thigh need 20,000 signatures to qualify the measure for the november ballot. mayor quan calls it the recall unfair. quan's supporters argue her accomplishments are overshadowed by occupy oakland. reports sha they spentd $12 million the past two years on consulting fees. the agency spent more than 7 million dollars last yoon ore public relgszs and other outreach. according to the san francisco chronicle. the authority has a $2.5 million budget for public relations this fiscal year. even though the feds cut funding for the year. without the funding the future of the entire line is now in doubt. prongt leaders say the spending is reasonable given the size and complexity of the project. >> 4:36. get ready for more delays on a

was in place. we'll see another round of abundant sunshine by tomorrow. a cool, clear start will make way to a mostly sunny afternoon. we'll talk about that all morning long. wednesday a little bit of fog returns. we'll see more fog-free days. 46 in livermore. take a look at gilroy at 29 degrees. we could see the low 20s through tonight. 11:00 a.m., temperatures climbing up in the mid-50s across the board. then round tout the day with the low 60s. i'll take you through the seven-day forecast coming up. lots of sunshine in the forecast. the fog returns. overall looking pretty good this week. we'll show you that in just a few moments. >> it looks like it's holding a few people up. they're heading north 101 where there's an accident reported. clearing from lanes right now.

handy. making for easy conditionings to get outdoors and rake your leaves. it is official. the 49ers are going to the playofffuls. they clinch the nfc west division title with their win over the rams yesterday. for the record, there's still four weeks left in the season. last time they did it it was 2002. they travel to arizona to take on the cardinals next sunday. the raiders sit in second place in their division this morning. they lost the grip after losing to the dolphins 4-14 yesterday. the broncos and tim tebow winning their fifth straight game. e next up for the raiders, a trip to green bay and to face the undefeated packers.
