>> a junior college football team mourning the sudden loss of their head coach. how they are remembering him this morning. >> it's a big time step forward for the 49ers. a boost of funding from the nfl could get a new stadium built even sooner. >> good morning everyone. the time now is 4:30. i'm jon kelley. >> i'm laura garcia-cannon. want to get to an accident on the bay bridge just moments ago. mike inouye joins us now. i understand it was a rollover. >> sounds like a rollover, then

two other cars so a total of three cars. it happened past the toll plaza. we have our live camera. i want to show you the view on the incline as you go away from us you see in the middle of the screen flashing lights. all of the activity is blocking a couple of lanes, maybe three. in fact, christie smith, our reporter was there, first on the scene. my main concern first of all are there major injuries? >> reporter: well, two people were injured and they were transported but i saw one woman pulled out of an suv that turned over on its side. she was hurt, she had a wound on her head but she was able to walk so that's the good news. both of the people injured were able to walk, so i wanted to show you a little bit about what is going on. they are kind of cleaning up three lanes shut down but telling me they will have this open in five or ten minutes. an suv was disabled here for some reason, and another car

plowed in behind it and the suv turned over, again, two people injured in this. but what they are telling me is that they are going to have these lanes back open very soon. i spoke with the first man on scene and here's what he had to say. >> i came up on this car but there were no other vehicles stopped or anything. so i was obviously the first one on the scene so i pulled over and called 911 right away and came over and the lady was in the driver's seat strapped in there and a big knot on her head but she was conscious and okay. i called 911 and told them and they came out pretty quick. >> reporter: so right now you can see the backup is pretty bad here on the incline. but you can see they are sweeping up so telling me they are going to open this up in the next five minutes or so. they are asking us if we can leave. that's what we have here reporting live on the bay bridge. christie smith. back to you guys. >> thank you, christie. >> time now to check on your morning weather. it is 4:32 right now.

christina loren is in the weather center with an update of what's happening outside. good friday morning. >> good friday morning to you. we have a spectacular weather weekend shaping up. good news for you super bowl fans who will be grilling outdoors. 42 degrees, it's cold right now. a really nice day shaping up for us. we have a lot to talk about. right now back to you. >> thank you very much. san francisco sheriff ross mirkarimi continuing his fight to try and see his son. a hearing is set today for a request with mirkarimi hoping to modify the stay away ruling. a judge ordered mirkarimi to have no contact with his wife or child while his case on domestic abuse proceeds. the trial is set for the end of the month. the mirkarimi's attorney will ask the judge to allow the sheriff to have supervised visits with his son. >> after living on the run for more than four decades a man who turned himself in for shooting a police officer could spend the next 15 years in prison.

67-year-old ronald bridgeport is to be sentenced for assault on a police officer with a firearm. this crime happened way back in 1968. but bridgeport jumped bail and disappeared before sentencing. he turned himself in more than 40 years later back in november. he says he surrendered to set a positive example for his son. >> saint ig nashous school is closed again. tests of the ditchen and water supply showed no signs of disease or infection. they believe it was viral. campus has been cleaned but officials will keep the school closed until monday as a precaution to let the students and staff get better. >> the man who helped create a powerhouse died at age 52. head coach doug boyett died in his sleep.

the cause has not been released. he spent 30 years at the junior college in the los altos hills, the last five as head coach. he took them to a top five ranking in 2007. perhaps his greatest achievement was in the classroom. 90% of his student athletes went on to four-year university. >> we lived every day for him. everyone gave everything they had for him. and now that he's gone i'm pretty sure all of the kids will give everything for him. basically like my second father. i loved that guy. >> sounds like an amazing role model. there will be a public memorial saturday, february 11, it is set for 1:00 in the college gym. >> a teacher facing horrifying child molestation charges was the target of a police investigation 18 years ago. 61-year-old mark burns facing 23 counts of committing lewd acts on children at a los angeles elementary school where he worked for 30 years, days

following his arrest details surfacing of a 1994 investigation where a 10-year-old girl claimed that he tried to touch her inappropriately. prosecutors did not file charges at that time in the case, claiming there was not enough evidence. >> 4:36 now. taco truck operators say they are forced to take the law into their hands after a driver got into a gun fight with armed robbers. surveillance video shows the exchange of gun fire early yesterday. you can see the flashes on several shots as they were fired there. not the first time something like this has happened. in december a 5-year-old boy was shot and killed by robber at his family's taco truck. the city needs tougher laws. >> unfortunately the mayor, some of the colleagues on the council continue objecting to curfews i believe is one way we can use that tool to stop people. >> a spokesperson for the oakland mobile food truck

association says food truck workers are arming themselves with weapons and bullet proof vests. >> police are stepping up patrols on the lookout for bar brawls. they met with business owners to figure out how to deal with the violence. officials want regulations that give the city more authority over businesses and customers. last weekend nine people were arrested, two hospitalized and three police officers injured when bars and restaurants closed on locust street. >> sounds like more good vibrations and good weather for the weekend. christina loren is here to tell us about it. >> finally made to the friday, we have quiet weather for the second half of the day. you got to get through the cold es part. it's frigid. 42 degrees in san jose. you're 2 degrees away from freezing in santa rosa, antioch also close to freezing. throughout the day we will climb. as soon as that sun comes out temperatures are going to climb to the mid to upper 50s by noon. at the bay inland and right at the coast.

by 4:00 p.m., as you make your way home from work, 64 degrees inland so plenty of 70s on the temperature map again today. and a big weekend shaping up. that's right. our giants, bruce bochy and the boys back in town. one of the thousands out there, temperatures should be comfortable. 58-63 degrees on saturday. our own scott mcgrew will be out there starting at 9:00 a.m. you get a chance to meet him. take you through the weekend forecast, tell you when rain moves back in, pretty good storm on the way. first, let's check the drive with mike inouye. >> all right. i've got a smile on my face because after our initial report with three lanes and a sigalert on the upper deck of the bay bridge, we've got a live shot again from the toll plaza. as christie reported they were on the scene and then told a few minutes ago please leave the scene because the crews were ready to clear. we see traffic quickly recovering. two minutes for all lanes have reopened as we see the flashing lights moved off of the incline

over to treasure island. all lanes appear to move though chp has yet to give us further details. i think i can give you the early okay there. back to the maps, we'll see how the rest of the approach is through oakland and the approach and no major slowing. we're lucky this incident happened so early in the morning. and folks involved are lucky there were no major injuries. but if you want you can use the richmond/san rafael bridge. oakland to the south. 880 fine past high street up to downtown without delay. >> mike, thank you. even without a chance to compete in the super bowl this weekend, the 49ers have good news, something big to celebrate. nfl owners approving a $20 million loan to the 49ers for their new santa clara stadium. that triggered a bold response from team president and ceo york. he said the stadium could open a year ahead of schedule, that would be in 2014, also

traffic, some weather. it is 4:43. >> a little more news right now. former penn state assistant football coach jerry sandusky will learn the names of those accusing him of sexual abuse. the attorney general's office says the list of alleged victims will be delivered to his attorney by the close of business today. the former penn state defensive coordinator faces more than 50 counts of child sex abuse. his next court hearing is on february 10. >> violent clashes in egypt over a deadly soccer game, protesters threw rocks at riot police in cairo, prompting officers to fire tear gas in the crowd. the people blame police for failing to control the riot after a soccer game that killed 74 people. protests have broken out across the country. the city had two protesters shot and killed by police. >> italian authorities say they will try to minimize the impact

of salvage on the cruise ship. people who live on the island fear tourists will stay away while the "costa concordia" is being removed. the salvage operation could take a year. the plan is to remove the ship in one piece. crews have to off-load 2300 tons of diesel fuel. >> 4:45. unemployment numbers will be released in under an hour from now. experts predicting some good news. for that and the rest of the news before the bell, let's turn to jackie deangelis. good morning. >> good morning. the futures are higher this morning ahead of the big economic news of the day, which is january jobs report that's out at 8:30 a.m. it's expected to show another month of modest hiring, forecasters calling for an increase of 125,000 jobs versus the 2 hun00,000 that we saw in december, a big chunk came from temporary holiday workers. unemployment is seen holding

steady at 8.5%. europe is a touch higher this morning. we're getting data on the service sectser and factory orders. we saw the dow slip 11 on thursday to close at 12,705, the nasdaq gaining 11 to 2859. mortgage rates have dropped down to record lows, the average rate on a 30 year fixed loan hit 3.87%, below the 3.88% hit two weeks ago. it come as week after the fed pledged to keep rates low to 2014 which pushed down bond yields. a wisconsin woman has been charged with theft over claims she tried to profit from facebook's upcoming ipo by selling fake stock in the media giant. prosecutors say she told people she got $1 million in facebook stock because her daughter knew mark zuckerberg. she managed to persuade several people to buy her scam. back over to you. >> amazing. >> that is a crazy story.

63 in concord and 60 in san francisco. next three days we just keep climbing, then the changes arrive. monday into tuesday, the clouds increase, the showers move in. we're talking about the potential for maybe, just maybe, a half of an inch of rain. even in places like san francisco. so we'll talk more about the storm that's on its way and what we've got for you this weekend. we're going to talk about all of the events and the weather that will accommodate those coming up. back to you guys. >> thank you very much. more fallout expected over the decision by susan g. komen race for the cure's decision to cut funding to planned parenthood. this move triggering a fire storm of criticism from donors and politicians, even the bay area komen affiliates oppose this decision. the breast cancer advocacy group says the money was pulled because planned parenthood is under investigation and some states and no longer meets the criteria for grant money. planned parenthood said the controversy resulted in a flood of new donations. >> we're certainly seeing
