ballpark hoping for a victory. good morning, i'm anthony slaugter in the nbc bay area weather center. we are looking at clear skies for the time being, but as we head through the day, we are going to see our winds kick up right along the coast. so that does include at&t park. the good news is it is a northwesterly wind, so that's enough to carry the ball out of the park. if you can get a little gusto on the ball and push it out, i think the winds will help in getting you a few home runs. getting towards tomorrow, we are looking at another bright day with temperatures back into the 60s and a few pockets of the 70s across the south bay. and monday, spring warmth continues across the bay area. temperatures this morning not bad, 47 in san francisco. san mateo, 49. sunnyvale, 48. you'll notice taking a look at the satellite and radar, not much happening here at home. the same system that moved through earlier this week is pushing into the rockies, so we have snow flying across the lake tahoe area, but otherwise things are quiet here at home. our weekend warm up is all

because of this area of high pressure sliding in. our next storm system is way out into the central pacific. that's not slated to arrive until tuesday. and that would bring a few showers to the north bay. now the cold air still in place from the system that moved through is still kind of mixing in the atmosphere. so the area of high pressure once it slides through will continue to push the cold air out, but this system pushing through the central plains as you heard earlier is going to bring severe weather. honestly, it brought severe weather here across the bay. that's such a rarity, so expect to see storms across the central plains later on this afternoon. again, coastal gusts today with winds gusting up to 25 to 30 miles per hour. really from about san francisco up towards bodega bay. otherwise dry conditions across the area. the game-day forecast does involve a dry day. we are back to 55 by san francisco. as i mentioned, the winds are out of the northwest, so that's a good way to tear the ball out of the park. highs today across the south bay will be close to 70.
