morgan hill looking for clues in the disappearance of see or a lamar. >> news of new potential evidence uncovered. bob redell is live at the gathering spot for searchers. good morning, bob. >> reporter: good morning. here at burnett elementary, volunteers are being called again to show up here between 8:00 and 1:00 this morning to go out on the grounds in the surrounding area of morgan hill near where sierra lamar lives to see if they can find any more evidence. this as the shirtive's department has been hitting local bodies of water again, over the past 48 hours. they have been muching reservoirs and local ponds. might see that yellow device out that they have in the side scan season sonar. they have divers on standby if they find anything. they have four more ponds to search this morning.

pe just off monterey avenue. just west of 101 near bailey road, not far from where we are at. they are not saying whether these expanded searches in the local waterways are related to the news that came out over the past 24 hours. that they might have possible new leads in this case. these leads developed after a crime lab september back their results of tests on items found related to sierra lamar's disappearance. namely her cell phone and purse and clothes. they are not saying what was found but they are saying there was possible new information that was developed in this case of the missing 15-year-old girl who has been missing now for just over a month. if you want to help out on the volunteer search evident you come here to burnett elementary between 8:00 ask 1:00 today. make sure you bring your photo i.d. must be at least 18 years of age. juan to wear appropriate clothes. you will be september out in the elements, long pants and sturdy shoes. reporting live in morgan hill, bob redell.

chilling video released and reveals new details about the so-called sea freak killers. the stockton record obtained eight clips of detectives interrogating two men back in 1998. they show investigators trying to pry information from the men who went on a 15-year killing spree across the central valley. >> getting wilder and wilder. i told them don't kill her, man. take her back to her car. i started backing up. he turned and looked. i didn't know what to do. >> the killers have been linked to at least a dozen murders. sherman tine remains on death row. earlier this year he gave

locations where he says they dumped bodies. one location revealed more than a thousand bone fragments. authorities in southern california have arrested a woman charging her with murder after finding a body believed to be that of a missing wife of a marine. the body was found in a remote area of riverside county. that's about 25 miles from where 22-year-old brittney kilgore lived. kilgore disappeared last friday. a 27-year-old woman and a 45-year-old man are in custody facing charges in this case. one of the officers in that dirty cops case will be sentenced today. former san ramon officer lombardi pleading guilty to selling confiscating drugs and stealing from crime scenes. he did it with his commanding officer, norman welsh. lombardi face as maximum sentence of more than 60 years in federal prison as part of a plea agreement, his sentencing is set for ten cloak this morning in oakland. 4:35 now. we could learn the future of a

university today. founder of the school, richard lee, will hold a press conference today, to discuss his personal plans as well as plans for oaksterdam. the university was raided and shutting down the school and making the future of medical marijuana in oakland uncertain. oakland issued permits important four new pot clubs in the city. but now it is unclear whether any of them will open shop. a painful chapter in oakland's history will be the subject of a new movie. plans are under way to bring the 2009 new year's day shooting death of officer granted to the big screen. according to the hollywood reporter, spencer who won this year's academy award for best supporting actress is slated to play the part of his mother. film student ryan kuglar who attended high school in the bay said the tragedy made an impression on his life. his father understands why he wants to make the movie. >> he fit the script.

the police say he took his clothes off and refused to put them back on. he was scheduled to board an alaskan airlines flight to san jose. instead they arrested him. he was released later that night hope reply fully clothed. to wall street. starting the week strong. we turn to jackie deangelis. good morning, jackie. >> good morning. that's a good question. right now the futures are lower after yesterday's big rally. that could be due to mixed earning reports from ibm and intel last night. stocks soared tuesday on the back of positive earnings from the likes of coca-cola and goldman sachs. apple jumped more% yesterday. investors were cheered on by a good response to spanish government bond auction. asian markets were higher overnight. european markets in the red today. here in the u.s., there's no

data but treasury secretary geithner speaks about the global economy and investors will be listening for that. we saw the dow rise 194 points to close at 13,115 yesterday. the nasdaq adding 54 points to 3,042. warren buffett says he has been diagnosed with stage one prostate cancer in a letter to berkshire hathaway shareholders. his prognosis is very good is and condition is not life threatening. he decided to delay treatment until mid july so he can keep travel commitments. remember, berkshire's annual meeting is next month. buff buffett telling cnbc he feels good and no change to berkshire's succession plan. finally, burger king has taken big steps overhauling the menu and renovating restaurants. now b.k. is rolling into your neighborhood. fast food giant will deploy food trucks in 40 u.s. cities today offering free samples of new item like chicken strips and smoothies. burger king is attempting to bring customers back. the chain lost the number two sales spot to wendy's last year.

good morning everybody. this wednesday morning, give you a live look at downtown san jose before the sun comes up, meteorologist christina loren. brace yourself for another beautiful day outside. bring your sun glasses and it will be sunny. >> the giants gave bumgarner a lot of cash this week in the form after new contract. a he gave them a solid performance against the phillies. bumgarner led the giants to a 4-2 victory.

giants play the phillies one last time tonight before heading on the road to meet the mets on friday. guess what, the nfl released its 2012 schedule. the 49ers open up on sunday, september 9. taking on the packers at lambeau field. october 14 will be a rematch of the nfc championship game against the giants. hopefully the saints will do better this time around. candlestick park and play the saints in new orleans on sunday, november 25. the raiders open up at home against san diego "monday night football." they will get their first look at the denver broncos with peyton manning at that time controls sunday, september 30. that's week four of the season. spirit of the upcoming football season, young 49ers fans got a huge surprise this week. >> i'm going to introduce mr. bruce miller. come on in, bruce.
