teacher called i guess the police because that's what you do if there's a problem. and the cops came. >> what's your point? >> i don't know why we are always calling the police. i think it's weird. >> well -- >> the cops? >> if there's an incident like that i think first of all you go to the principal and then the principal has to call. because parents were -- first of all, the mother of the bully said, not my child. >> they always do. >> first she's ever heard of it. >> but here's the thing. i understand that the older teacher was fired. and i think rightfully so. but the younger one was as well or was she suspended? >> i think she is on administrative leave, one of those things. it's one of those -- it's terrible. it's a terrible way to discipline. what do you think? >> no, no, no. i think the child needs to be disciplined, but the child should be taken out of the situation, not involve the other children in beating. no. >> why don't we bully him. right. that doesn't make sense. >> yeah. remove him from the situation.

>> wow. good morning. i'm meteorologist chris warren with a look at your weather channel forecast. and across the country there will be some areas we're watching for some storms. now, where the biggest storms set up is going to be on the edge of some big-time heat. that is going to be the big story through at least the middle part of the week. possibly beyond for some areas. and this is what it looks like for today. plenty of 90s along the interstate 95 corridor here. and it's going to be 95 in boston. mid 90s also in new york. pushing 100 degrees in washington, d.c. and stay tuned to the weather channel for live coverage from the nation's capital throughout the day today. we're going to see highs into the 90s as far north as chicago, parts of michigan going to be dealing with it as well. and then a little bit more pleasant feeling, but this is where the storms are going to be. and you can see it's going to be on that edge. and of course the southwest

still dealing with triple-digit heat. storms a little bit farther to the south on thursday. heat continues throughout the east coast. and look at some of this. you're starting to see a little bit of that. lighter color in there. almost white hot. you almost have that pink color. 100 degrees in washington, d.c. on thursday. cooling off a little bit as that cold front gets a little bit closer and moves a little bit closer through the great lakes here. also still warm in the southeast. a little bit of cooling but still hot for this time of year in the northeast with 80s. mid to upper 80s expected. a chance for some showers in the pacific northwest. once again in the upper plains 70s and 80s. still going to see 90s in the south. and then on sunday a chance for some showers. generally around the great lakes and throughout florida things still looking soggy in florida. expecting a whole bunch of rain right on through mid-week for florida. remember, weekdays on the weather channel you can wake up with al roker and stephanie abrams.
