monterrey county. he once worked as a substitute in alan rock district. both school districts are confident no child pornography is on their computers the family of missing teenager, sierra lamar, marking one day since her disappearance. she went missing march 16th last year. she was on her way to school. she has never been found. her weekend holding a news conference and fund-raiser to keep that search effort going. garcia torres has been charged with kidnapping and murder in this case. he has not yet entered a plea. our marla tellez spoke to lamar's family about their difficult past year. she will have more coming up. the@áqp)ch resumes for a missing south bay man who recently suffered a head injury. we spoke to the santa cruz police department. they say they will bring in

canine units to search for matthew abraham. his family says when they last saw him, he was talking about the observation deck in henry cowl park and hiking trail above ucsc. rescue teams searched near his house and uc santa cruz yesterday. he recently fell from a train tressel and bumped his head. investigators releasing new details and hoping for new leads in the death of a san jose biker that disappeared last fall. the santa cruz sheriff's office telling the mercury news, eric dean garcia may have been with members of another motorcycle gang when he was last seen alive. he was a member of the mongols motorcycle club was reported missing last september after leaving a party in san jose. detectives say he was spotted with members of the ghost mountain riders club before he disappeared. his body was found three weeks later in the santa cruz mountains police are still looking for

answers after a deadly shooting near the richmond b.a.r.t. station. a man was shot and killed near the mcdonald and 19th street entrance to the station aren't 6:00 last night. no one else was injured. so far, no motive or arrest. a former san francisco crime lab technician accused of stealing cocaine is now expected to change her plea. debra maddon expected to plead guilty to a less sore charge of misdemeanor cocaine possession. she has gone to trial twice on j(jt(r'e from the lab by means of fraud or deception. both ended in hung injuries. her arrest in 2010 forced the district attorney to drop hundreds of criminal cases. new this morning, the head of boeing says commercial dreamliners could be up within weeks. executives reveal the proposed fix for the 787s lithium eye on batteries in tokyo. they admit, they have not pinpointed the cause of the recent battery overheating.

tag feud. they are working on incorporating the hash tag into its service by using it to group certain topics or conversations. the move is the latest shot at twitter as the two social media companies increasingly move on to each other's turf. >> twitter made the hash tag famous by using it to group together. the latest glass door report revealing the 50 highest rated ceos for 2013. a lot of bay area execs making that list. facebook's ceo, mark zuckerberg, taking top honors. the ratings based on more than a half million employee reviews. google's larry page checks in at number 11. mark benioff of sales force.com number 13 followed by jen-hsun

huang of nvidi a, tim cook, from apple, 18. and paul olini, 21st. we are now getting a look at samsung's newest weapon in its fight with apple. check out the galaxy s-4. it was unveiled last night at radio city music hall. it has a slightly larger screen than the iphone and includes a feature called smart scroll. the screen can be controlled with hand gestures you wave over the phone. it will scroll depending on how the phone is tilted. the s-4 is expected to be available sometime in april. it will be carried on all four national carriers as well as smaller ones like u.s. cellular and cricket. >> this morning is the first chance that investors will get a chance to respond. we turn it over to courtney reagan live at cnbc's world

headquarters. future rs lower after the markets posted a nice rally. the dow stretching its winning streak to 10 days. it will shoot for today to close higher. the broader s&p 500 is just two points from the all-time record. they are on pace for the best first quarter since 1998. we will get data on consumer prices, production and sentiment. the dow rising to 14539. the nasdaq up 13 to 3258. it didn't take tim geithner long to find his next pursuit. the former treasury secretary who stepped down has signed a book deal. he will write his behind the scene account of the u.s. government's response to the global financial crisis in 2008 and 2009. he is expected to write a playbook that the public can find out how and why decisions are made. >> courtney, sounds great. we will check back with you.

on planes. a problem with the ship's generator cañsing the ship's crew to cut short the cruise and dock at sait maarten. carnival deciding to fly 4300 passengers home just in case. it has been a rough run for carnival cruise lines. they are dealing with problems with it's ledgend cruise. the cruise ship is skipping its last port in the gulf of mexico heading home to tampa. it is expected to arrive. guests are being compensated for both incidents gay marriage supporters have a new ally, ohio senator, rob portman announced last night, he will now back gay marriage in the repeal of the defensive marriage act. he voted for the act back in 1996 as a member of the house.

welcome back. we take you live to rome and vatican city. a monumental week, a historic event. pope francis, newly elected. today, he will take his first official meeting with cardinals as they begin to regroup to find their new direction. we will keep you posted on everything happening over there. we move to baseball closer to home. a must-win today for the u.s. if they want to advance in the semifinals at at&t park in the world baseball classic. team usa losing to the dominican republic yesterday. 3-1. the dominican republic wins it. today, if they beat puerto rico,

team usa will stay alive and move on. >> from hoops, the cal bears now wait until sunday to find out if they get to punch their ticket for the big dance. the ncaa tournament, bears upset by utah knocking them out of the pac 12 tournament. the bears will lead an at-large bid if they want to make the tournament. st. mary's also looking for an at-large bid after losing to number one gonzaga earlier this week. >> i'm feeling good about it. the shashrks pulling out a n over the l.a. kings. san jose won 4-3 thanks in part to defensiveman turned forward, brent burns, who scored the first goal of the game. with a goal, burns won a bet with comcast brodie brazil. he didn't get the shirt off brody's back. he did come close, getting the neck tie instead.

"today in the bay's" marla tallez is live in fremont where a special event for lamar is taking place this weekend. good morning, marla. >> reporter: laura, good morning. it certainly goes without saying that this weekend is going to be extremely difficult for the lamar family. sierra's mother, march lane lamar, tells me she wanted to have one of tomorrow's events planned. there are two planned but she wanted one event in fremont

where sierra was born and i will tell you what's happening in fremont in a moment. first, tomorrow is going to start in morgan hill where sierra disappeared. the lamar family is planning to hold a news conference at the search center on tilton road. this gets started at 9:00 tomorrow morning. we are told the santa clara sheriff is going to be there. we will be getting an update on that investigation. then, there is going to be a balloon release in sierra's honor. sierra, 15 at the time disappeared on march 16th on her way to school. deputies arrested anton lynn garcia torres, charged with her kidnapping and killing. her body has yet to be found. her parents tell us it is hard to carry on without any closure. >> i know they've got the suspect and they're pushing forward with that but as a parent, i'm not going
