especially with this pattern across the great lakes and the northeast that keeps the cold air in and we get more snow showers scattered around the lakes and into the northeast today, especially northern new england. that's where we're going to have some of the heaviest snow amounts and across the east coast looking mostly for rain later today, atlanta starting to dry out, sunshine returning to the tennessee valley and across the southeast, but you can see where the cold is and some very cold readings across north dakota and northern minnesota. that's some 20 degrees below average for this time of year. 61 meanwhile, in los angeles, we'll be at 72 in dallas. low 80s all the way down into houston and by tomorrow we'll hold on to some of the snow for the interior northeast. more lake-effect snow and northern new england. we won't be done with the winter storm yet and we'll track another system through the northwest that will spread snow to the higher elevations in idaho and wyoming. notice where our temperatures stay, only 41 in new york city,

in 2008 i married my husband and best friend in a size 28 wedding dress, tipping the scales at over 300 pounds. shortly after i had a doctor's appointment and learned that my blood pressure was high. i guess i convinced myself that my weight would not affect my health, i was so ashamed and for a few weeks after i binged on food because i was so upset. one night i was sitting on the sofa and eating a fourth serving of sausage balls and decide right then that i wanted to make a change. i got up and attended my first weight watchers meeting. i started working on small, attainable goals. i lost 90 pounds my first year on the program and i built a great support system with people at the gym i started going to. i've lost 150 pounds, my blood pressure is normal and my overall cholesterol has dropped 100 pointsd, my lifestyle has changed dramatically. i'm so active and ran my first marathon last year. my husband has lost 60 pounds
