still seeing some cool temperatures all the way up into the northeast. lower 40s expected. here comes the next one, severe threat as it matches across the country. here's where you can see rain saturday throughout parts of the south. also throughout parts of the plains seeing this snow move across. picking up in intensity by sunday looking at the sunday forecast right now. temperatures will be into the 30s to the north, 60s and 70s in the south. still a little bit of wet weather then we'll watch this move into the mid-atlantic and the northeast with a chance for some snow lower 40s in the northeast and then on tuesday, just a few lingering showers and generally a pretty quiet day if you look across the country. not a ton of stuff happening here. temperatures cooler than average throughout parts of the south. new orleans only into the 60s, 50s for atlanta and looking for 30s around the great lakes. wednesday, chicago, you're back up at 40 degrees. minneapolis, you're at least going to be above the freezing mark and temperatures in the

in handy for me. >> raise planters are great, because you can control the soil. a plant needs nutrients, so a raised planter is great, so put a great potting soil in there and a lot of them come with all the nutrients your plant needs. she's why these begonias look beautiful. it's great for a raised planter. >> how far apart should you plant them? >> common problem. people like immediate gratification, so they'll put them close, and they don't think a month or two down -- >> and then the roots get intertwined. >> here's what i recommend for your new plot. do you like to cook? >> i go. >> plant some herbs and veggies. >> you go right in there. >> i know you have a nice suit. >> i'm going to get dirty. i'm going to get dirty. >> i got you some gloves so choose whatever gloves you want. ah, i thought those were for me.

when you're planting, put whatever you like to eat. i have rosemary over here, parsley, lettuce. lettuce is great. it's easy to grow, it grows like a weed. i love to make spinach smoothies now, and i'm really into that, so i have a lot of spinach in my garden. >> where is rosemary? >> oh, that's too big. >> i have a couple shovels. if you want some lettuce, when you put this lettuce in there, it's a small cartridge right now if i can get it out but it'll get nice and big. easy to grow and when you plant, don't put it too deep. okay, because otherwise you'll choke the plants out. you got it. see, you are naturals. >> a little space in between. >> good space in between. >> all right. >> all right. >> you got the thyme in there. we got some nice herbs. we got some nice veggies. what do you have next? >> a lot of water -- do they have to be in total sunlight,
