a little later on in the newscast. i am arturo santiago, "today in the bay." huge lines forming outside banks in cyprus as banks reopen for the first time since country's received an international bailout. new video outside the bank this morning. cyprus is putting limits on how much money account holders can withdraw per day. last night, several trucks carrying cash from germany were seen arriving from police escorts. banks have been closed for nearly two weeks while politicians scrambled to raise money to qualify for bailout loans. a man from canada is behind bars in connection with charges he tried to arrange sex with a 16-year-old girl from san mateo.

san diego police arrested 26-year-old adam ouelette on a charge of having child porn on his cell phone. he was arrested at sfo where he allegedly arranged to meelt a teenage girl. the meeting was really police officers waiting at the airport when he arrived. >> there is a charge of attempted statutory rape, involving sex with a minor under 18 to travel for the purpose of committing some type of sexual offense on a minor is also a crime. there is also the child pornography charges. >> he continued his trip down to san diego. that's when officers suspected he may be in possession of child pornography and issued a new warrant. he was arrested in san diego. no word on when he is expected to be sent back to the bay area. san jose police involved in

a third shooting this month, this one injuring a woman. police say they cornered a stolen car on almond near willow glen way when the driver tried to run over an officer standing in the street. the officer feared for his life and opened fire into the car. >> we heard the gun shots. we walked over. you could see the cops had their guns drawn. >> the driver and the man in the car with her were both injured but they are expected to survive. the police officer was not hurt. california's high speed rail authority is suing everybody. we do mean that literally. the state filed a lawsuit against, quote, all persons interested as a blanket approach to validate billions of dollars in bonds for the project. by suing everybody at once, they are protecting themselves against future lawsuits that could delal the project. a summons for those interested in joining the lawsuit could be

published once a week for three weeks in five major newspapers. it is not clear when the hearings would begin. >> that police pursuit we have just showed you in los angeles has just ended. the suspect on the sidewalk with his hands over his head surrounded by all that law enforcement if you can make it out there. this is a live look at the scene back to where it all ended. the chase wound its way through huntington park in east l.a. it is unclear why the chase ornlorn originally started. the roads are damp on this thursday. >> they certainly are. taking a live look at your radar starting to get a little more action. see these little pops of green. pop-up showers might get your roadways nice and slick for your commute. keep that in mind. overnight, a little bit of rainfall. steady drizzle coming down. just count on weather slowing you down a touch.

6:07 first. want to take a look at your drive. it is thursday again. a reminder. this traffic pattern looks like a friday pattern. we are seeing the backup in the fast-track lanes. that typically happens on a friday when we have a different shift. that might be because of some of the breaks going on right now. we're looking over toward the maps. we see a smooth flow of traffic. no major incidents. the upper deck incident, the big rig, all lanes have been cleared. a car had broken down slowing your westbound commute. a good flow of traffic. the earlier incident has cleared from west 24. no problems coming out of walnut creek.

tonight at the first exhibition home game, a battle of the bays against the a's tonight, kristy. good morning. with those two recent world series wins under their belt, the fans made it clear, they want more giants, more and more giants. the team responded with this new social media center that will be opening up a little bit later this season. one of the biggest upgrades to at&t park in years. the new social media center will be in the former build-a-bear store behind the outfield bleachers. it will have a coffee bar, high-def tv. the giants rank third on twitter with 400,000 followers. the team's hash tag is fifth behind only big names like nfl, nascar, major league baseball and the olympics. on facebook, the giants have 1.6 million likes and climbing. their popularity in the

upstaged? >> he said he would have a major announcement and then mercedes benz spilled the beans he said he had a big announcement and delayed it until next week. we figured nothing to hear about tesla for today. mercedes announced that tesla miss powering its p say december a class small car. the existence of this car was unveiled at the paris auto show back in 2010. it it's coming to america is news. was the announcement there is this new car. this is not it, by the way. is it actually upstaging us? we don't know. google is with withdrawing some of its invitations to try out google glass after they discovered some people were not being that serious about it. like the woman who tweeted, i want to see how ridiculous i would like wearing two pair of glasses. google may have said yes to just about anybody that replied.

it is 6:30. i'm marla tallez in for jon kelley. a judge has unsealed the search warrants in the shooting at sandy hook elementary school. the warrants reveal shooter, adam lanza killed his mother in her bed with a .22 caliber rifle. he then drove to sandy hook and fired rounds inside two classrooms and shot himself. arturo santiago looking through the warrants. he will bring us more details. google may be bringing more business to the south bay. the financial times reports the tech giant is planning to manufacture its futuristic eyeglasses here in silicon valley. "today in the bay's" bob redell is live at the site. >> reporter: the next several weeks, the taiwanese manufacturer, foxconn, a name

familiar with, since they manufacture apple's iphone will be manufacturing google's glass device here at the factory location according to the u.k.'s financial times. google will not confirm this report. if true, it is significant. most of our devices like smart phones are built overseas where it is cheaper. it is rare for the bad jets to be assembled here in the united states. the times reports that many of google's glass components would be manufactured in asia. the assembly would take place here in santa clara, not far from google's headquarters so the tech giant can keep a close eye on the project in case they wanted to make tweaks and whatnot. only a few thousand will be created the at first leaving open the possibility this could move overseas. santa clara's mayor couldn't

we had reports of a crash. you see that center screen. i scanned the area west heading up the incline. i couldn't see any flashing lights or unusual traffic flow. we'll show you the map. i have marked it on your maps heading across the bay bridge. we have some slowing across the area. meanwhile, my maps are frozen. this is the worst of your commute southbound toward 880. the earlier crash is off to the right-hand shoulder. a considerable distraction as it does have a car over at least off of its wheels on its side. no major injuries are reported. we have major slowing coming down south of hayward. you may want to use that san mateo bridge because you know it is the peninsula. it looks like a smoother, lighter volume of traffic right now. over on the peninsula's side, a volume of traffic coming down

let's talk about what we are expecting. hour by hour detail. stopped the clock at noon. starting to get a little activity in the north bay and south bay at that point. showers are moving from south to nor north. for us, temperatures are going to stay nice and comfortable. we are going to be talking about these rain showers, today, tomorrow, the upcoming weekend. friday, mostly dry until 3:00 p.m. highs tomorrow, close to 80 degrees in some cities across the bay area. the rain moves in at 3:00 p.m. otherwise, we are looking okay until saturday. we stopped the clock at 10:00. you can get the kids outdoors until 10:00 a.m. things start to get more active saturday afternoon. widespread, organized light showers across the greater bay area. holding off on the heavier rain until sunday. you see that core of low pressure out there in the pacific. that strong band of moisture will move through sunday morning into sunday afternoon. it is probably a good idea to go

here is the deal. bottom of your man, that's where i showed you with the minor showing because of the build. as you are approaching dakoto or the donebarton dunbarton bridge. a lot of slowing and distraction and a big backup. slow through hayward. on the approach, you might want to use that san mateo bridge if you are heading to the peninsula anyway. that's moving smoothly. you get out of that backup there. why when we have this issue on 880, it causes more of a slowdown for 238. starting around redwood road for that slowing. that's hard to say. 580. pretty light build through dublin. a big build coming through livermore. the earlier crash has cleared from the side.

northbound routes now kicking in. 6:30, things started to kick in. it will build towards 7:30. 280 around the 880 interchange. slow from 87 past saratoga will build over towards cupertino. the peninsula is an easy drive. there is the big volume. low clouds. you can see that. the golden gate bridge, fog there. lower the speeds. through the toll plaza, lower the speeds. people didn't stop yesterday. they went a little fast. maybe 25 coming through the all electronic tolls. back to you. an update to breaking news. a connecticut judge has just unsealed a number of affidavits in the newtown connecticut shooting that happened just less than an hour ago. for the first time, we are getting new insight into what was no doubt the darkest day that town has ever seen.

"today in the bay's" arturo santiago live in our newsroom with some of the unbelievable new details. we've been looking over the information. the amount of weaponry and ammunition is simply staggering. a lot of the information details the actions of the killer, 20-year-old adam lanza. on december 14th, he shot his mother in her bed with a .22 rifle. he went to newtown and killed children and adults. 14 rounds were unused when his gun was uncovered. he shot himself with a glock 10 millimeter handgun. police also recovered a 8 millimeter sig sauer handgun. 3, 30 round magazines for the bushmaster and six others with

varying amounts. all of the guns were bought, it seems, by adam lanza's mother. the shootings took place in three classrooms and adam lanza was not wearing a bullet-proof vest. the information estimates from the time that adam lanza shot his way into the school to the time he took his own life was wes lan five minutes. yesterday, connecticut state police briefed the family members on all the information contained inside of the affidavits and warrants on the items found inside lanza's car and his home. about 50 family members were at that briefing. the final police report on the mas mas k massacre is expected to be released in june. >> relived horror for those families. it is 6:53. in the meantime, in colorado, the man accused of killing 12
