organized a registration drive that will take place later this afternoon to try and help eduardo find a bone marrow donor. he desperately needs a bone marrow transplant to fight leukemia. here he is this past wednesday when san jose's s.w.a.t. team visited him in the hospital. in an attempt to lift his spirits, the first grader has a s.w.a.t. pin and honorary membership with the team. he was diagnosed with a rare form of lymphoma in his head when he was three-years old. this past january, there was good news. doctors determined he was in remission. then, a month later, they diagnosed him with the leukemia. the only thing that can save him is a bone marrow transplant. it doesn't take much to get on the bone marrow national registry. it is just a swab of the cheek as you can see the officers did earlier this week. it is noninvasive, does not take much time. in eduardo's case, a match would have to be someone with the same

bridges this morning. watch out for that. 49 degrees in concord. 49 in livermore to start. we are at 54 degrees in san jose. you don't even need a jacket this morning. in sunnyvale, whatever activity we are going to see this morning, holds off until the second half of the day into tonight. we will see a lot of sunshine, enough so to warm us up 80 degrees. we are dropping off. watch out for thick pockets of fog as you make your way out that front door this morning. let's talk about the tricky forecast. here is the jetstream. this is the best way to describe this for you. the jetstream is a river of air. an atmospheric highway. they ride the jetstream and move from west to east across the united states. the first one did just that. the next one breaks apart from that jetstream. that's why we call it a cut-off low. that's a very difficult forecast. it has nothing to push it inland. there are two scenarios that we are watching for you. low pressure could stay offshore and skirt the coastline bringing us live showers. if that's the case, maybe a

quarter of an inch of rain. however, if that pushes far enough inland, we could be measuring rain at rates of 1 inch, 1.5 inches. also, it is going to be so warm out there. a lot of boy yancy in our atmosphere. the best chance, you can see, first band holds off until about 3:00 p.m. saturday. starts to move inland as we hit throughout sunday morning. look at this. noon sunday, starting to break apart just a little bit. we are done with the yellow at that point. showers will continue for most of easter. you want to plan the egg hunt indoors. best chance to get outdoors on easter sunday, after about 1:00, 2:00. we will have some lingering showers that will meet back here on monday morning. 74 degrees in san jose. here it is, your easter weekend forecast. lingering rain monday. tuesday will be dry and warm.

in the leg with an arrow will be back in class later today. 8-year-old nadine hairston had to undergo surgery to remove the arrow from her thigh. she was shot on thursday while on a class field clip at berkeley's hall of science. they are trying to figure out where the arrow came from. they are offering a $1,000 reward for more information. >> a new delay in efforts to reopen berkeley's famous chez panisse restaurant. the contractor in charge of rebuilding says the fire damaged more than expected. they are working on a new steel frame to replace the damaged wood fraem in the structure. the goal is to reopen the restaurant the first week of june. san jose police are releasing a video, looking for your help to catch two men who followed people off the light rail and robbed them. investigators want you to take a close look at the surveillance pictures just released. the man in the white shirt and the black shirt you see there

conviction of the gunman. later today, a long-awaited decision in a sex abuse case involving the now cal swim coach and the moraga dual skschool di. >> reporter: teacher, carol buchanon, says she asks herself over and over again, why didn't someone listen? she said she tried to complain to school administrators. they didn't respond. now, she is retired and may become best known as a whistle blower in the sexual abuse case involving christine kunane, a swim coach at cal berkeley. she says in 1909, students told her that a popular science teacher was sexually abusing them. after a 25-year career, she said she wasn't fired but it was suggested she take a leave of absence. she also said she felt vindicated when he came forward last year. still, there is always that question, what if?

west bay with why they want to take matters into their own hands. >> we are on the corner of miller and bollinger on the lot where this is slated to be built. hundreds of neighbors are there are other numerous concerns. a mcdonald's could undermine the neighbor's efforts to fight childhood obesity. they also say there could be safety issues with kids running across the street with the middle school to get to the fast food. it might take business away from nearby restaurants. the biggest beef seems to be with the drive-through. 780 residents signed a petition voicing their opposition to the mcdonald's and its plans to with stall the drive-through. the city planning commission has denied a permit. developers are appealing the condition. >> we have a neighborhood here. it is really a pedestrian neighborhood. people walk to coffee shops.

asia. across the top, the words, sons of san jose prominently displayed. the sons of sen jose are the individuals that registered for the armed forces of america in the city of san jose. they left san jose and died on vietnam soil. these boys never came hope. they never had a chance to come home and enjoy what we are enjoying today, which is freedom. it costs $160,000 to build the memorial. all of that money many could go from donations. tomorrow at noon, a special dedication ceremony with family members of some of the men whose names or on that memorial. >> it is located at the guadalupe park near the pavilion. the crooked house at happy hollow park and zoo was closed in 2008 for what was just supposed to be a year and a half for renovation. five years later, it is finally
