congratulations. you made it through monday. >> from nbc bay area, this is "today in the bay." it is 6:01 on the nose. thank you very much for joining us and getting up early with us. we have breaking news in the south bay where an armed robbery and police chase ends in a crash. right now, three people are in custody including a pregnant woman. the crash happened at the intersection of yerba buena road and silver springs road. what are you learning now, bob? >> reporter: sjpd is crediting fantastic police work for finding and arresting the suspect in this morning's armed robbery of a 7-eleven in this side of town. a crime this woman might have gotten away with if it wasn't for the fact she was so predictable, if she didn't do the exact same things she did last time she was arrested.
6:02 am
she was arrested after she crashed her stolen bmw into a tree during a high-speed chase with police. also taken into custody, her two passengers, a man and another woman, who police believe is pregnant. earlier this morning, the suspt used an eight-inch revolver to rob a suspect. the p.d. immediately suspected it was the same woman that robbed two 7-elevens a month ago. during thoesz crimes, she dumped her stolen vehicle at an apartment complex on the east side. one of the officers remembered that. >> i believe the suspect thought they got away with it the first time, when they didn't. we figured this might be the same suspect from a month ago. we went to the area where she had dumped the previous stolen vehicle and sure enough, she showed up. >> reporter: the officer flashed its lights at the stolen beamer, recognized the suspect. there was a high-speed chase.
6:03 am
the suspect crashed her vehicle into that tree. right after the crash, the pregnant woman we are told surrendered right away. the man tried to run but police cut them off. police tell us that inside the car, they did find the gun along with the stolen money and lottery tickets. reporting live, bob redell, "today in the bay." a daring escape after ten years held hostage inside a house in ohio. three women waking up to freedom thanks to this desperate 911 call. >> we are going to search as soon as we get the car open. >> i need them now before he gets back. >> that is the frantic phone call police dispatchers heard from one of the three missing women inside the house. marla, good morning. all three women, amanda berry, gina dejesus and michele

i need them now before he gets back. >> they are brothers all in their 50s. many neighbors say they never had a problem with them and never suspected anything like that. all three girls disappeared the adifferent times. berry is 27. dejesus is 23 and knight is 32. for those of us here in the bay area, this story reminds us of jaycee dugard who was held for 18 years before she was found alive and the elizabeth smart case and you might remember the 17-year-old boy from tracy who was held captive for some sometime when he escaped. he showed up with a chain around his ankle. this out of cleveland. we are waiting for this news conference to start to get the latest from officials in cleveland. once that gets underway, we will bring you the latest information. >> we know you will have your eye on eyes on it, marla. >> we are learning more about the deadly limousine fire on the
