from san francisco. micayla lynch wondered away from the family's vacation home on sunday. she was playing with her brother at the time. he ran inside for a minute. when he came back out, she was gone. she cannot speak. although she is nine, she only has the mental capacity of a 1-year-old. the family's vacation home backing up to the cache creek and mikaela cannot swim a deadly shooting in the berkeley hills just above the cal campus. police now believe 21-year-old alberto santana silva was shot after trying to break up an rgment. it happened on grizzly peak boulevard around 5:30 sunday morning. the fremont man was with friends when a dispute erupting nearby. silva intervened even though he didn't know the people involved. after the fight, a man left the scene and returned 20 minutes later and shot silva multiple times as he sat in his car. silva died at the scene. >> a former matte teacher facing

federal charges accused of repeatedly molesting a teenager from gilroy. 50-year-old robert lincoln met the girl at rancho middle school in holister in 2009. he allegedly befriended the girl and his family and began a sexual relationship with her 2011 when she was only 15. he was arrested in gilroy after the girl's mother reported the relationship to police a follow-up story to an investigative unit. documents and hand-written notes from the d.a.s office and no one knew about it until now. jeff rosen ordered some employees time sheets to be altered to give free time off and let employees bank their vacation days. they said it was to make up for bonuses some lost. the new documents showed the d.a.'s office kept their own

record of how much time was given to each employee. the papers notes but no one at the county could tell us whose writing it is or who created the paperwork. we showed it to county executive, jeff smith. he says, county payroll, had no idea any of this existing. >> i would just expect a lot more from an elected d.a. who is the senior law enforcement official in the county. the d.a.'s office provided us with a statement that reads, there was no second selt of books or second payroll system. the attorney general's office is civilly reviewing the administrative leave issue. out of respect for the integ grist of that process, with he will defer further process at this time. smith says he is considering assigning payroll staff from other parts of the county to oversee payroll in the office world champion boxer, robert guerrero in court facing gun charges. he was arrested in new york for trying to take an unloaded gun,

agency is hosting two public meetings in oakland. the agency will hear proposals by cal berkeley and the city of oakland to reduce fire risk in the east bay hills. meetings run from 2:00 to 4:00 this afternoon and from 6:00 to 8:00 tonight at the east bay regional parks district training center on skyline buoulevard. firefighters at the scene of an overnight fire watching for any hotspots. san jose firefighters tweeting out these pictures of the fire early this morning. they were called in to help out. the this building houses a business under construction. flames broke out at that building at 2:00 this morning. that fire, we can tell you, is now out. so far, no reports of any injuries. the cause of this fire remains under investigation. want to check the forecast now with meteorologist, christina loren. good morning. >> good morning to you, laura and jon. >> good morning to you at home. we have a good-looking day

light volume of traffic. we should see that clear up very quickly. i will track it for you. we have a crew on mission boulevard for 680 as well as getting to 880. i see a little slowing. they should be cleared by 5:00. i'll let you know about any delays. overall, the rest of the south bay looks really nice here. we will zoom into two spots northbound. we still have crews there blocking a lane or maybe two but clear by the time you get to brokaw and montague. there is the san mateo drive. >> thank you very much. it is 4:39. caltrans in the hot seat facing a state hearing today in sacramento concerning faulty steel rods on the new bay bridge. 32 steel bolts broke and the integrity of thousands of other bolts being tested. at today's hearing, the chair of the senate transportation housing committee says, he plans to ask caltrans about the questionable parts and hold them

accountable. federal officials are also reviewing the project. officials are expected to come and take a look at the bridge later this month. >> san jose city crew spending the night giving a freeway bridge a little bit of a facelift. painting over the graffiti that covered the 13th street over 110 in san jose. a little nip. a little tuck there. city hall receiving hundreds of complaints about all this g graffiti. they will be moving south to clean up the mickey road bridge a shocking revelation by angelina jolie. she talks about her decision to undergo a preventative double mastectomy in april. her mother died of breast cancer at the age of 56. jolie says she carries the cancer gene which sharply increases developing breast cancer. she says she hopes others can benefit from sharing her experience.

tagged signaling great problems. several others have voluntarily left their home. the public water system serving the area found two small leaks in the area. at this point, they are not sure if the leaks, which have since been repaired are responsible for the major slide in washington state, a woman, lucky to be alive after a tree falls right into her bedroom that pinned her actually inside of her bed. despite being pinned by that tree and the roof debris, she was fortunate, she was able to call 911 yesterday. firefighters were able to quickly free her and took her to the hospital only suffering minor injuries. this morning, the british prime minister is set to visit the boston marathon bombing memorial as we took you there live just moments ago. david cameron met with massachusetts governor, duvall patrick yesterday. today, he heads to the square to pay his respects to the makeshift memorial for the boston marathon bombing victims. cameron will also meet with first responders. also, today, the prime minister will team up with prince harry
