crew there is, in the southbound direction possibly until 6:00 a.m. so we'll watch for potential slowing. also east highway 4 headed towards summersville a crash just before you get to the construction zone. westbound also clear but the spot the first to show any slowing in the bay area. back to you. investigators in cloud co sa county say there may be a long line of victims, barron edwards coached the varsity football team at kennedy high school in richmond from 2004 to 2005. investigators are urging other victims to come forward. a red cross volunteer is headed to oklahoma city to help with disaster relief in moore. she is a clinical psychologist and specializes in grief

counseling. she'll spend the next ten days in oklahoma where she'll meet with some of the victims coping with the loss of homes, family members and friends. >> to look at people realizing this actually happened, the reality has sunk in and how do they pull themselves together to move on. >> vermont says her most important goal is to be a friend to people she meets and help them understand how to deal with their feelings. she's worked with red cross in several disaster area in the past including hurricane isaac and the earthquake in haiti. the driver involved in a deadly crash on memorial day is expected to be charged today, paul diaz was driving a green mustang when it collided with a honda early monday morning. three of diaz's passengers died in this crash. the driver of the other car was not seriously hurt. officers say diaz ran away from

the scene but then turned himself in to police a few hours later. 4:33, south bay police looking for your help in catching a pair of burglars who broke into a sunnyvale home. look at the new surveillance photos, they're pretty clear. police say two men broke into the home through an unlocked window in the middle of the day last friday and stole jewelry. the men reportedly took off in a newer model red four-door sedan, possibly a 2013 ford taurus. neighbors say the two men were posing as magazine salesmen in the area. if you have any information on this crime, call the sunnyvale police department. the mayor of milpitas will speak out about a recent uptick of crime in his city. milpitas police report car thefts in the city rose 62% in 2012 compared to 2011. the city police chief says many of the car thefts happened in the great mall parking lot.

tonight's state of the city address will be at 7:00 at the milpitas community center. 4:34, the santa clara health department sounding the alarm of the case of tuberculosises in the south bay. they had some of the highest rates in the country, one of the reasons they're saying is diversity. many people from the bay area travel to and from countries where there are high tb rates. it's spread through the air when a person coughs that, makes it a public safety concern. coming up at 5:00 we're live in san jose. the san jose police department will honor officers today killed in the line of duty. the department's annual memorial ceremony will be held at san jose police headquarters. mayor chuck reed, city council members and family members of fallen officers will be there for the ceremony. 11 san jose police officers have lost their lives while serving

in that city. the most recent was officer jeffrey fontana, shot and killed by a driver during a traffic stop in 2001. redwood city is going high tech, police using new computer software that combines information about citations, collisions and dui arrests to identify trouble spots in the city. the software helps planners determine where street improvements can be made. police recently ended a pilot program using red light cameras. police said the cameras seemed to help reduce collisions but it's not clear whether they'll be part of the new traffic safety strategy. tesla was supposed to make an announcement later today but last night the ceo said the company will triple its super charger coverage throughout the country. it will allow electric car owners to drive coast to coast from san francisco to new york

city. drivers on the peninsula will notice a large plume of smoke but no need to worry. firefighters will already be there. two prescribed burns at the arastradero golf club to make sure the weather is cooperating as well and if all goes as planned the burn will start at 9:00 and it will cover nine acres. crews from woodside, santa clara county and cal fire will be on scene. if you see smoke that's why. meteorologist christina loren, a colder start to the day. >> it is, good morning to you. one thing i want to point out with the prescribed burns, we don't have strong winds. they are going to pick up as we get into the afternoon picking up between the hours of 2:00 and

fremont we are currently right there at the truck scales in the southbound side you see with the headlights a smooth drive here. we'll look at the map no problem for 880 or 680, mission boulevard also clear. mission boulevard is closed between 880 and warm springs boulevard just until 5:00, another 20 minutes, they're moving a crane overnight and it's been closed since midnight part of the bar.a.r.t. to san je project. we're looking at northbound 880, overnight crews had blocked a couple of lanes. the crews were waiting for the pavement to cure in the northbound side and a slower sensor read, light traffic but down a couple of lanes heading north 101 to 37. it will be an intense day for dozens of the country's best spellers including audrey bento.

modern technology to spread the word that they got a fire out. completed it from, didn't let it spread this morning as you look at their live tweets this morning. there was a fire burning at a warehouse at 51st avenue but they put it out. there was light smoke coming up from that area so thank you oakland firefighters doing their job. seems like a perfect match, spotify in the war field. it is expanding in san francisco. spotify which rivals pandora, is moving into the warfield building on market street. the company has a small number of employees in the city's financial district but says it hopes to make the move to its new home by mid-july. spotify is the 11th tech company to move into the city's central market neighborhood since 2011. google's motorola is revealing where the new phone will be made.

bertha coombs is live with that and how futures are trading this morning. how is it going? >> hey, good morning. futures are lower. we saw the dow yesterday give back all those gains from tuesday as worries surged again about the health of the global economy, folks eyeing a slowdown in china. stocks cut their losses in half by the close. this morning we'll look at data in terms of the growth of the economy in the u.s., we'll get first quarter gdp and as usual around 8:30 eastern unemployment, the weekly unemployment claims, also pending home sales. the dow falling 106 points on wednesday, we'll start the day at 15,302, the nasdaq starts at 46 after losing 21. motorola is trying to get its cool back with a comeback in a new smartphone category. the company which is now owned by google says it's going to launch a high-end smartphone later this year called the moto x but the biggest cool factor may be the fact that it's

made in the usa. it will be built at a plant outside of dallas which will employ 2,000 people. and you may be old enough perhaps to remember when the mountain winery used to call itself paul massant and had the slogan we will sell no wine before its time. the french are really taking that to the max, kind of having a real high-end garage sale. the country needs to raise money so france's elise palace is putting its famed wine cellar on the auction block, a part of it, the first time they're doing that and the auction starts today. bidders will be able to get their hands on modestly priced wines to expensive. the estimates start from 20 bucks, the high end is estimated around $3,200 but it's an auction so you know the prices could rise. i don't know, when you get a $3,000 bottle of wine the first glass tastes great but after the

4:48, new this morning the army staff sergeant accused of killing 16 afghan villagers will reportedly plead guilty next week to avoid the death penalty. robert bales attorney says his client was crazed and broken when he left his outpost and attacked two nearby villages. he was on his fourth combat deployment. his lawyers say he was suffering from ptsd and had a traumatic brain injury at the time of the attack. the fbi has a different approach to catching pedophiles. the agency seized a child pornography service and ran it while tracking down its customers. seattle-based news service reports agents raided a child porn business last november. the site continued to distribute child pornography online while under fbi control. the website had more than 5,000 customers. it's not clear how many of them have been caught. we have new video to show you, showing the moment a train crashed into a garbage truck in

maryland. the security camera video captured the crash tuesday ten miles outside of baltimore. few minutes later you can see a huge fireball erupt in the distance. the fire burned for hours before firefighters to get it under control. the driver of the truck was injured and is recovering in the hopped. the railroad crash where that collision took place does not have a gate or warning lights. it will no doubt be an emotional day for the community of moore, oklahoma. crews will be tearing down what is left of plaza towers elementary school. seven children were killed inside the school, many of them trapped inside a flooded basement. officials say they plan to rebuild plaza towers and nearby briarwood elementary school but this time both schools will have proper storm shelters. the victims will get new aid

just about 4:55, welcome back. no-no during giants and a's game leads to a controversial call. andres torres doubled down the left field line. fan touched the ball but gregor blanco was allowed to score as first. normally if a fan interferes it is a ground rule double. bob melvin not happy with that call, has a few words with the umps. the fan was booted from the game. in the end the a's win 9-6, the giants and a's play again at 12:45. >> getting booed a little bit. o.co-coliseum, john hamon tweeted "a shame the a's and giants have to play these games at the coliseum while at&t sits

empty." well the a's fired back on twitter smoking fun at hamon's comments, sean doolittle "so excited to play at at&t tonight, the spacious dugouts, the most luxurious amenities, the finest foods, showers with hot water, five stars!" >> a little sarcasm there. >> a little bit, right? do we have a five star traffic report? >> always. >> yes, we do. i chose this beautiful view of the san mateo bridge specifically for this camera angle. this is the western side over on foster city on the approach coming off of the high-rise and an easy drive you can clearly see it here. the reason i didn't choose the other side, someone left their equipment in front of the camera so that will be a restricted view. traffic flows nicely and the crews hopefully they'll move that over the course of the morning.
