family. katherine is the executor of their will. she's in the hospital. she feels lost. crying out. >> katherine did release a statement saying that paris is physically fine and getting appropriate medical attention. being a sensitive 15-year-old is difficult, no matter who you are. it's especially difficult when you lose the person closest to you. please respect her privacy and the family's privacy. >> which no one ever does. it's too big a story. anything to do -- there are some reports that she was very upset about the trial that's going on with the company that was going to be producing michael's "this is it" final concert series. and she was going to have to testify. now i don't know, that's not confirmed. but that's another report i read. now think about it, the little girl who spent a lot of her childhood behind a veil, you know just learning now how to be a normal kid. and then, normal, who is normal any more, anyway, certainly not

19-year-old college student holly tucker in her shining moment on nbc's "the voice" as she performed a tribute, a beautiful tribute to the victims of the moore, oklahoma tornado. >> it was terrific. but with the competition heating up as we head into the semifinals, holly was voted off and sent home, leading to a heated twitter battle. the good news is, we get to meet holly right now. >> yes and you know who came to your defense? >> oh yeah. >> blake! >> is there a day we go by without saying his name, blake. >> let's talk about your moment on stage. it was one of those things emotions are running high and i know it must have been disappointing, it must have been -- >> yeah. i mean i just kept thinking how much like you know, i'm so grateful to have been here and so blessed. but i was going to miss my teammates a lot. and we've become so close, we are a real family and i love them to death and i'm rooting for them all the way. >> you're going to have a long career. >> absolutely.

>> let's talk about this tweetgate thing that's going on. apparently there was some critic, a guy named joe guerrero from the "houston chronicle," who wrote something stupid like he was glad you were eliminated and blake was angry about what he had to say. so we had to edit blake's down into one of his more tv-appropriate tweets. it reads people like you, joey, that make me sick, holly is not only a talented singer but a great person who is simply chasing a dream. what do you think about this twitter war that's going on in the background as you're living your life? >> kind of like you guys said, everybody is going to have their own opinions, you've got to take it in stride and use it to be your motivation. it's fuel for my fire, it doesn't bother me, but seeing blake stick up for me like that and knowing that that's my coach right there. and that's -- >> he's got my back. >> doesn't have to do that. >> he doesn't. >> he's doing it because it's real and nobody ever knew this guy's name before this happened. i'm sorry we even said it because you know what, you'll have critics for the rest of your life.

i'll give you a cd. >> it's time for "everyone has a story." meet this month's contest story. sheryl of port st. lucie, florida, wrote in to honor her daughter. >> let's listen to sheryl tell her daughter's beautiful story. >> my story is about my daughter, lauren clinton maylo. almost ten years ago, her life changed. we lost our daughter, jessica clinton at the age of 17. lauren lost her sister and her best friend. from sudden cardiac arrest during cheerleading practice.

we didn't know jessica had a condition where one of the valves in the heart doesn't work properly. months went by and lauren found out that she was pregnant at the age of 16. she knew she wanted to keep the baby, because she felt it was a gift from god and jessica. that day at the doctor's office we made a promise to each other. that lauren would not only go to school and finish, she would also graduate from college. we knew it wasn't going to be easy, but she was going to show everyone that not all young mothers drop out of school. lauren has been blessed with a great husband and a new baby. her husband is in the army and has been stationed in japan for over two years. but on may 3rd, lauren graduated from college with a degree in elementary education. we are so proud of her. colleena is now eight years old and a great student and a great young girl. not only has lauren gone through school, but she has also helped me with keeping her sister's memory alive by helping me with the jessica clinton foundation.

teenaged mom, there is an instant stereotype, we've seen television shows about it. and you wanted to break that stereotype. didn't you? >> i never like to be compared to that. because i was a good student. i was a good, i'm a good person. i never wanted to be judged and negative when i got a gift and i owned up to my gift. >> did you at any time think about not having that gift come into the world? >> you might have it for a split two seconds, but from the minute i just knew she was, she was mine. >> i love that you thought it was a gift from god and also your sister. >> a gift from god in a way that, many people you think out your 20s, you miss out your teens. and my way was, she kept me on the right direction. i didn't go through, i went through it a different way, i planned birthday parties and anyone knows me, i'm a doer. >> aren't you just melting. >> how old are you now, sweetheart? >> eight. >> and your teeth came in so nice. >> there's always a question, you never know.
