carquinez bridge and the bay bridge toll plaza itself. back to you. >> 4:32. we have developing news this morning. police on the hunt for a man who sexually assaulted a child in a public bathroom. that attack happened at berkeley marina yesterday afternoon. police are looking for an african-american man in his 40s or 50s. blond hair, green streaks. the child is back with family this morning. christie smith has talked to berkeley police. she'll ahave the latest at 5:00 a fremont man facing charged of kidnapping thanked to alert neighbor and detective work. the 23-year-old aaron roy kidnapped a teenage girl in fremont monday morning. surveillance video allegedly shows roy getting into the backseat of a 16-year-old's car while inside shopping. as she drove away, roy allegedly appeared with a knife, telling

her to drive to a remote location. police say she was able to break away and run when roy told her to take her clothes off. the girl was caught on a home surveillance camera running through a fremont neighborhood. you can see her at the top zipping through. a woman in the neighborhood happened to rescue that girl and then alerted police. officers identified roy by a fingerprint left in the victim's car. 4:33. investigators back at levi's stadium trying to figure out how a elevator mechanic dies. construction has been called off until tomorrow. 63-year-old donald white standing on a ladder under the count weight of the elevator when the weight came down on him yesterday morning. the father of four was killed and worked at stadium was put on hold. at 5:00, bob redell will have the latest details in that investigation. we have a follow-up for you this morning. nine people still on the run

after the biggest gang sting in the history of santa clara county. the district attorney's office says it has arrested 39 members of the nuestra familia gang but nine are still wanted. the gang's been vkiactive over past three years leading to 77-count grand jury indictment. follow-up to breaking news we brought you yesterday. the man who flashed a student at san jose state is still out there. still on the loose. around 9:50 monday night the student was waiting for her right outside duncan hall on san safl street when a man walked up and exposed himself and then ran away. campus police sent out a text alert. the u.s. supreme court could rule on california's ban on same secti sex marriage as soon as tomorrow. the clerk's office is gearing up for influx of gay and lesbian couples to tie the knot if prop

8 is overturned. learning how to process marriage licenses and owe officialiate weddings. the clerk office says if prop 8 is overturned the city's prepared to perform 200 weddings the first day same-sex marriage becomes legal. brace yourself, and your pocketbook, pg&e wants to raise gas and power bill. the utility company proposing an increase and for the average customer, this will amount to $12 per month. pg&e says it needs that money to upgrade distribution stomach make it safer and more reliable. critics say the company's raised rates in the path for the same reason but have not followed through with upgrades. the california public utilities commission will be holding a public hearing tonight discussing that proposed increase. it starts at 7:00 p.m. in the city council chambers at oakland city hall. new this morning, fire

investigators trying to figure out what sparked a brushfire in antioch overnight. fire broke out before 11:00 last night near wilbur avenue and minaker drive. took crews an hour to knock down the flames. in all, 15 acres burned. no reports of injuries. no buildings were damaged. people in the south bay may notice smoke in the air near milpitas. it's all part of a firefighting exercise. crews from several agencies including the santa clara county fire department taking part in a live fire exercise at ed levin county park. the exercise a culmination of a four-day training event. crews practice using fire as defensive tool in fighting much larger, more dangerous wildfires. let's see if we'll have winds today if it will carry the smoke out there as well. >> good wednesday to you. want to help you get started.

upper hand on four major wildfires burning throughout the state. the largest is burning northeast of colorado springs. crews say the so-called black forest fire has destroyed 60 homes, forced 6400 people to evacuate and charred 12 square miles since starting yesterday. no reports of any injuries so far. the man from ohio accused of holding three women captive for a decade will be back in cord. 52-year-old ariel castro facing over 300 counts, murder, kidnapping and rain, prosecutors say castro kidnapped misthe thr and kept them locked up inside his cleveland home and fathered berry's 6-year-old daughter. these women were rescued last month after berry escaped while castro was gone from the home. castro's attorney says he's planning to plead not guilty. 4:59. california and nevada civil

rights group sued a nevada mental hospital accused of shipping patients out of state without making arrangements to their care. the lawsuit claims the hospital in las vegas violated the constitutional rights of mentally ill people. "sacramento bee" reports 100 former patients could join the lawsuit. officials have not commented on the suit. this just in to our newsroom. a new study out shows using cell phones and other devices while driving increases your chance of being in an accident even if those devices are hands-free. report comes from a aaa foundation for traffic safety. from the video, using sensors and simulators using brain activity while trying to multitask with hands-free technology, while the mental a workload increases reaction decreases. >> infotainment systems in cars,
