4:33 am
the free mont bart station because it is the closest one. there was confusion because instead of hopping on the bus at the terminal they had to go across the street. this led to confusion and delays. kind of goes with the territory during a huge strike like this when you take out bart. >> when you take them out of their environment at bart where they are used to go they don't know where to go. i help them the best i can. >> reporter: the charter buses run at four other stations including walnut creek, pleasanton and freemont. round trip tickets are first come first serve. passengers need that ticket to get back home in the evening. keep in mind these buses can only serve a few thousand people so again always best to have

4:35 am
>> i got cancer and i would love to see them as much as i could and i can't do that. >> another commuter telling us it took two hours go to go from hayward to free mont on a bus. >> not only is it taking more time for people to get where they are going the strike costing commuters more money. one way fare on bart usually takes riders 11 minutes and costs almost $3. ac transit line b 31 minutes and costs $4 one way. strike also causing trouble for baseball fans planning to
