she got a spray tan. i love -- >> well, i've never done this before and my daughter, we're going off for a little mother/daughter trip. she said, some come on, mom. get it with me because it's all organic. it's called zen bronze. >> you go in naked? >> i haven't been naked for 24 years. >> how does it work? >> i put on a bathing suit for the first time in about ten years. and you go in and you stand, and a lovely lady named donna did it. and then you can't -- >> look at her arms. >> i know it. it just looks gorgeous on cassidy. and then i realized, well, cassidy is going to be 20. so of course she looks gorgeous. there's only one person darker. tan mom. put me up against tan mom d and see how -- so i have a ways to go.

>> nice. spot on. >> okay. >> there are some issues that have come out today. i don't know if you saw the cover of "rolling stone." it's not officially on newsstands yet but they've released the cover. and there's a picture of the boston bombing suspect. >> i didn't realize that's a picture he took of himself. >> it's a selfie. dzhokhar tsarnaev. and there's a lot of controversy about this picture because a lot of folks are looking at that and saying that they are glamorizing this guy. they made him look rock starrish, a la jim morrison, who has been on the cover of that magazine also. and some places have decided -- that's the jim morrison cover. >> right. >> some people decided not to carry this magazine. cvs decided against it. >> several companies. yeah. and i think it's certainly their right. people are outraged. i guess some sort of a poll was taken. 90% of the people said it went way too far. way too far. >> apparently the article inside, which nobody is really talking about, is quite tough on him, right? >> it talks about how a kid goes from what seemingly was a good kid when he was young and then what happened along the way and

they describe him as a monster in some of their writings. so i think when you see the cover, i think it -- because it looks like it's treated. it looks like -- >> it almost looks like it's photoshopped a little bit. with the shadow and all of that. >> there are young girls out there saying -- >> that's so disturbing. these young girls. oh, he couldn't be guilty of that. he's so cute. he's too cute. i'm in love with dzhokhar. then you're in love with a murderer. >> well, remember, it was ted bundy. it was the same thing back then. when there's a good-looking -- >> i don't think he's good looking. maybe it's because i know his soul is so black, you know, so dark. >> when cvs decided not to sell this -- i think we just had a statement there that is here. hang on a second. >> cvs basically -- >> here's their statement. "as a company with deep roots in new england and a strong presence in boston we believe this is the right decision out of respect for the victims of the attack and their loved ones." >> and "rolling stone" went on to say the cover story we're publishing this week falls within the tradition of

journalism and "rolling stone's" long-standing commitment to thoughtful coverage of political and social -- okay. you're not old enough to remember this. but when they put charlie manson on the front. >> it caused a big -- >> but if you are talking about the news, the news is often made by evil people. and so what do you do? put somebody nice on the cover? but then hide the other on the inside? i don't know. >> and sometimes people try to use a very controversial cover just to get people to buy the magazine. and we've seen it on different levels. you know, this is obviously a completely different level. but when demi moore was naked on "vanity fair" people wanted to see the article -- or there was -- someone was breast-feeding on the cover of "time" magazine. >> it's a business. so you've got to create some interest and some buzz. okay. you know who's creating buzz? honey booboo. >> okay. >> honey booboo is back. aren't you thrilled? >> this is interesting. there's a new way we found out yesterday to watch "honey booboo's" show. people say when you watch the show you always wonder what it

over the last few years, far too many people have died from overdoses, accidental or not. and it's not just celebrities like "glee" actor cory monteith. >> it affects families all over the country according to the centers for disease control and prevention. at least 100 people in the united states die each day from drug overdoses. here with help are clinical psychologist elizabeth lombardo and psychiatrist dr. heather levrin. nice to see you both, ladies.

>> when we heard about cory monteith, he's not someone who we thought of when it came to drugs. we didn't know that part of him. but a lot of people wondered what may have actually killed him. and some people thought it was because he was a heavy user, stopped using, and then could have possibly gone back to his normal dose. is that something that could have happened? >> that's what happens a lot. especially because he had been in rehab hospital, he hadn't used for a while. when they go back they go back to the same amount. and that -- his body isn't used to it anymore. and so that can kill you. >> young people and heroin. is that something -- >> it's the chic drug right now. can you imagine? >> you know, in 2008 prescription painkillers overtook marijuana as the most common gateway drug. >> oh, really? >> and prescription painkillers lead to heroin. that opiate addiction -- >> it is very real. >> it's such a tough one to kick. and these days it's so common. >> is rehab really what you have to do? i mean because i know cory went through it. but i think a lot of people may have concerns that maybe a friend, maybe someone they know

is using. is there -- what's the best route to go? >> they need to get help. they need to get help. and if they can't do it on their own they need to get help from elsewhere. and the key too is not just going to rehab but it's when you come out. we have that safe place where hopefully -- >> and your friends. >> and your lifestyle. >> you think about with cory. he went back to the old place where he used to be. and so all those -- the cues were there for him to start using again. >> that's an interesting question. because they said he almost lived a double life. at work he never used. he was clean. he was ready. was it the work that was giving him a purpose to get up every morning and when he didn't have that he would use? >> i think, you know, it was a lot of hard work for him not to use. you know, i heard people saying that it took a lot of time and effort to keep him clean even when he was -- >> oh. >> the wonderful thing now is we do have treatments that work. we have medications that work. we have soboxone and methadone. there is help. and -- >> you have to want it.
