>> the yellow flowers. it's a whole thing going on. >> thank you. thank you so much. okay. anyway, so i'm all verklempt. there's some news and especially where you're concerned. superman and batman have always, you know, enjoyed separate entities, separate movies. but now there's talk of the two of them joining forces. and teaming up. i think it's even more than talk. there's actually confirmation of a sequel. you obviously played the role of superman. what do you think of these two merging? >> look at that symbol. that's just weird. i think it's going to be fantastic for dc comics. in the way that the avengers did it for marvel. they got everybody together. it was fantastic. they have separate franchises now. it's nice to bring them together. it's going to be interesting. the superman is more angsty than the superman of the past. you have that batman guy who talks like this. >> if you were superman who would you want to be your batman to be?

who would be the one you'd like? >> i go back to my buddy, clooney. bring george back here. we'd have a little fun. >> that would be very cool. this film, by the way, is going to be released in the summer of 2015. when people go off on vacation, a lot of people are during the summer around now, couples become a little bit more adventurous when they go off together. there was a survey. an online survey by hilton honors. they looked at the habits, i guess the sexual habits, of couples. they said that people are much more adventurous when they're on vacation. >> i would buy into that. >> you would? >> sure. you're out there. you're at a different location. you're not at home. there's no kids there. there's no neighbors. maybe you go outside. >> do you find that adventurous? >> i may have been outside once. >> yeah? >> might have happened. >> are you nervous someone's going to walk up and surprise you or -- >> surprise you in what way? >> just walk up, you know. >> not that kind of surprise. >> there you are.

>> the royal baby has taken the attention this week, but it's time for our babies. our first up is a smiling baby born in arizona on june 16th. berkeley roy brimhall. parents greg and katie say their baby loves to be outside. their biggest advice to new parents, learn to sleep while sitting up. a baby born in sarasota, florida. ella stone daysh. this little one came into the world may 24th. her parents joey and taryn say she's named after her great grandmother. san francisco, little zoe chui born june 3rd. six pounds, 7 ounces. david and elaine say they are giving her hugs and kisses all day every day. finally, wyatt woodrow detwiler. this baby boy was born on june 2nd weighing 9 pounds, 2 ounces. chloe and jason say little wyatt has a dimple on his right cheek just like his mommy. big congratulations to all the babies. if you want a chance for your baby to appear on our "today's"

>> it's for real. >> how is this together? >> there'll be a small piece of your chin off. >> that's our segment. thank you. >> we got to talk about -- first of all, speaking of dressing up, a lot of people come watch you guys. and they come decked out. some in mermaid costumes. that's like a big attraction. what -- tell us, explain that phenomenon. >> well, our tour is calmed mermaids of alcatraz tour. at jones beach we had a sold out jones beach the other night. 15,000 people. >> can we just look at that picture? that is astonishing. >> that is so amazing. we were, like, so emotional about it. but lots of boys and girls dress as mermaids or pirates. a guy dressed up as an escaped convict from alcatraz last night. so it just gives everybody a chance to have fun. then the best costume. some of them get wheeled in in wagons because they have tails and everything. they get a better seat, the front row seat.

>> what's it like looking out in the audience and seeing -- you guys got emotional. explain why that was so important, jones beach. >> we've been coming to new york for so many years. and we've played jones beach many times as an opening act for other bands. always in the daylight with a half full place. and it was just so special to go back there on our own tour and play in the dark to a sold out show. it was amazing. >> every athlete, every actor, they all want to be rock stars. a lot of rock stars want to be something else. i mean, you guys are it. >> i'm good. >> that's what i'm saying. i want to be you guys. that's the way it should be. >> what's cool about this, too, we were just talking, your son who's 13 loves these guys. >> loves them. >> you look at your fan base and they range from, you know, young, 13, all the way up. >> that's my favorite part about the band. you know, i love when moms say, oh, my daughter loves you or you just said my son's a fan. i love that. i think it's awesome. i'd love to see your son and him say, man, my dad's a fan. we get a lot of that. a family can come. i'm not interested in cursing to

♪ we're back on this try day friday with more of today. our guest host dean cain, who is helping me out today while kathie lee enjoys a little time off. let's face it. selling a house can be tough. adding a little curb appeal can help bring buyers right to your front door. >> curb appeal like this dress. bang. from landscaping to adding a porch, here to show you how to make your home a good first impression is designer genevieve gorder from hgtv. >> hi! >> we like this segment a lot. you show us a before and after. there are actually takeaway things you can do. changing the outside of your house can make a difference in the price. >> yes, it is like clothing, you have to bring people in, you have to seduce them.

>> i like this segment. >> let's take a look at our first house. tell us what -- how they could zhuszh this up a little bit. >> all right. >> here it is right here. >> okay. a little boring. it's a little naked. it's a great little cottage. probably built in the '30s. what's happening now is all the focus is really happening on these hedges which are a little rough. i'm asking to bring in some grays, some more contemporary colors and get it out of the '90s. bright yellow to the shutters. make it a little cuter. the door as well. >> flower boxes. >> lighting over the door is integral. you need to have that pause before you go in. evening out the hedges and bringing that flower box up to the top so your eye goes up to the top of the house. >> that does make a difference. >> otherwise the visual line is stuck where you don't want it to be. the bottom of that rough hedge. >> simple but worth a lot. >> so simple. not very expensive. >> it'll change the price of your home. >> yes. >> let's take a look at our second home. >> i love this house. >> beautiful. >> so cute. what's missing, it's just got this really short yard.

the bay looks a little overexposed. because you're really looking at the basement window instead of the beautiful bay architecture. my advice is to extend that porch over a bit. just a shallow porch and a little bit of porch furniture makes a big difference. house looks bigger. >> how much would a renovation like this cost somebody? >> this could be a couple thousand or do it yourself for materials under 1,000. >> what do you get in return? >> a lot of people coming to your house to look at it. and extra real estate where people are hanging out outside. when you're working with these older homes you need to make sure every square inch is absolutely utilized. bring in some extra color around the inner trim of each window gives an added sense of depth. looks a little more finished and less plain. >> it's funny how a little thing changes it. >> like framing. the eyebrow to the eye.
