gilroy police tell us this liberty pcs internet cafe in gilroy was in actuality an illegal gambling operation, one where people could come in here and gamble on computers for real money. as you look inside you can see pd has put an end to this alleged illegal activity and taken out all the computers of the shop. if you look over here on the door from the city of gilroy, the gilroy police department posted a notice that all the equipment will be destroyed in 30 days. law enforcement raided liberty pcs last night, removing about 40 computer stations and boxes full of other materials. this was a result of a joint investigation with the federal government that started in the spring and involved visits by undercover agents. according to police, this is how the operation worked. a customer would buy internet cards, cards that have a credit for time online. he'd then be able to go to one of their computers and play casino games on one of those 40

unions continue their temporary agreement that put a stop to the shutdown last month. for now the clock is still winding down. >> the 72-hour notice is not something by law we have to do. it is something we want to advise the public that we've tried to do everything we can to prevent a strike and it looks like it's not possible. >> we need to stay at the table, keep the trains running and reach an agreement. >> reporter: a couple of options. the unions could continue to work temporarily. the governor could step in. b.a.r.t. could oppose the contract. no movement there. b.a.r.t. saying that their plan, if the strike goes through is they will lose 95 charter buses to try to move commuters from the east bay into san francisco which is slightly more than they used last night. live in oakland, christie smith, "today in the bay.." you might guess, a b.a.r.t. strike is costly. here is a stat you likely didn't realize t bay area economy
