good morning, everybody. time 4:30. i'm jon kelley. >> i'm laura garcia-cannon. >> breaking news is a 1-year-old shot to death in oakland. police at a home on ghormley, from the exit of interstate 880. >> another body found inside of that home. you're on the scene. what is happening? what are you hearing? >> reporter: good morning. this just a disturbing scene. a 1-year-old baby shot, also a 20-year-old man shot. i'm photog step aside so you can see what's going on the house that has the porch light on. both of them killed. just a few minutes ago, a man and woman walked in tears,

distraught, asking if their son and grandson were all right. they burst into tears. hugged each other. and then walked away. police tell us around 2:45 they got call of shots fired, this is in brookfield village. six to eight shots fired into the back of the home. sign inside of the home a baby shot one time, pronounced dead at the hospital. the 20-year-old man died in the home. trying to confirm reports that this may have been possibly more than one shooter from the back of the home. police tell me there were a number of people inside and right now they're taking statements from them. homicide investigators on the way. back here live, at this point, no information on any suspects. that's the latest from here, live in oakland, christie smith, "today in the bay." >> thank you very much. 4:31.

commuters are able to take ac transit. last night the agency and its unions reached a at any timive agreement averting a strike that would have started at midnight. the agreement would include a raise and better health and safety provisions according to the union. ac transit serves roughly 180,000 riders every day? a special public hearing with the state board of inquiry charged with look at talks between b.a.r.t. and the union. hearing arguments from both sides why they have not been able to strike a deal. it will pass its report on to the governor who will decide if a cooling off period is necessary. 10:30, at the state building in downtown oakland. new video of a massive fire shutting down east africa's largest airport. the huge smoke and flames billowing into the sky from kenya's main international airport. this o is located in the

capital city of nairobi, authorities say the fire gutted the arrival terminal where passengers passed through immigration and didn't get their luggage. the fire broke out on the 15th anniversary of the u.s. embassy bombings in nairobi. officials telling us, no immediate signs of terrorism. the airport is closed until further notice so emergency crews can continue putting ow the fire. no injuries reported. the cleveland home known to many now has the house of horrors reduced to ruble this morning. right now, crews are tearing down the home where ariel castro held three women captive for nearly a decade. one of castro's victims michelle knight was on hand. she and supporters released yellow balloons into the paper the work is expected to be completed today. building materials will be

shredded. last week castro was sentenced to life in prison plus 1,000 years after leading guilty to 1,000 charges of kidnapping, rape, and murder. live pictures in cleveland. people have gathered out side to watch them pull down what has been called the house of horrors. a morgan hills teen accused of raping a drunk woman expected to be in court this morning. the 16-year-old will appear in juvenile court but could be tried as an adult. the teen and a mother helped a woman who was intoxicated into her hom and that teenager allegedly went back to the home later that night, raped her and robbed her. police arrested the young man after he admitted to having sex with that woman. family and friends of a missing oakland mother desperate for answers. sandra coke seen leaving her home in her mini cooper. she told her 15-year-old she was going to meet someone who has information about the family's

missing dog. but coke never returned. police found her car in oakland and her sister says two cell phones found in oakland, one in richmond. >> we just need everybody's help in making sure that she comes home safely. if there's anybody who has her who has any information about her, we ask you to please let her come home. her daughter needs her. we need her. >> the family says someone stole their dog in may and tried to get sandra to pay for the pet's safe return. sandra coke is a death penalty appeals investigator for the office of the federal defender in sacramento. family members say they know something is wrong. san jose city council considering new regulation for adult themed gentleman's club. rules proposes after the gold club announced it would open in downtown san jose. the councilman wants the city to

consider making adult entertainment establishments pay a public safety fee and proposing a no touching rule, brighter lights inside and earlier closing time the gold club set to open tomorrow. a nationwide amber alive remains in effect for two children in san diego whose mother was found dead inside a burning home over the weekend. sheriff's department believes jim dimaggio kidnapped 16-year-old hanna anderson and possibly 8-year-old ethan anderson. the mother's body found inside the burning home along with the body of a child. family members have known dimaggio since he was a child and say he was a nice person. one of hanna's friends witnessed an awkward conversation with dimaggio a few weeks ago. >> he's like i have a crush on you, not in na weird way, but if you were my own age, i'd want to date you.
