information officer to come out and give us an update on that person's condition. we do know the homicide detectives are out here investigating this. that is standard whenever you have an officer-involved shooting. it doesn't mean necessarily anyone was killed or there was a murder, it's just they were the unit designated to investigate whether this shooting was appropriate or not. so back out here live, if you are having any business in this area, you should be aware between king and will shire and alum rock, it is shut down right now. this is not an active crime scene in the sense that they have a standoff or anything, this is just a crime scene in the sense they're trying to process what happened. reporting live in east san jose, bob redell, "today in the bay." now let's look at the weekend forecast as the holiday weekend approaches. meteorologist christina loren has the day off. we have rob mayeda in. >> good friday morning. we have low clouds and fog. it's kind of muggy out there this morning. we're seeing temperatures in the

50s and 60s right now. the sea breeze not quite as strong as you've seen over the past couple days. this will allow our inland temperatures today to climb into the 80s and low 90s south of san jose and out toward the tri-valley. 90s today, 70s in san francisco. mike, that fog could slow things down especially in the north bay and across the bay bridge commute. obviously we could see some of those low clouds drifting around the golden gate, too. >> that's right. we have one less crossing. the san mateo bridge the big focus yesterday. that was the place where we had the drama as far as speed sensors, crawling westbound all morning and eastbound in the evening. 101 tied up through san mateo as well as the richmond-san rafael bridge. the volume is typical especially on a friday at 4:33. no delays right now. close to the limit across the bridge. over on the peninsula side of the bridget self, you see the volume illustrated by all the

headlights off the high-rise. we have a heavier volume overnight of course because that is your option to the south instead of using the bay bridge. we're looking at a lighter volume today because it is friday, especially friday before the labor day holiday. just debris right now over at the toll plaza. >> it is day two of the bay bridge closure. everything appears to be going as planned. let's give you a live look at the toll plaza right now. in about 30 minutes, we'll check in with christie smith for an update on construction was going, how it went overnight. today crews will start paving the westbound lanes from yura buena island to the eastern span. yesterday we received a rare look at how much has already been done. crews demolished more than half of the 1,000-foot section of asphalt on the upper deck and removed a large amount of steel. the goal is to have the bridge reopened by monday night or early tuesday morning. >> expect b.a.r.t. to be extra

of the light traffic. yesterday, pretty much all morning and into the afternoon, we had westbound 80 slow from golden gate fields down to the berkeley curve. around powell is where you start losing one lane. in the end you lose about three lanes. that's what bogged things down. right now a very light volume of traffic. mass transit, your alternate is b.a.r.t. extended trains and longer service overnight as well. a nice flow of traffic for all the alternates including the ferry system for today. we'll look and show you oakland -- the option to the north is the san rafael bridge. and here is the san mateo bridge, volume standard as you pass the coliseum. >> you mention labor day is monday. lots of things to do to celebrate the end of summer this weekend. >> one option, the king's mountain art fair in woodside is celebrating this 50th anniversary this weekend. 50 years ago the festival
