reportedly happened in the media and learning center. we're going to zoom in. this woman says she was sexually assaulted inside on the bottom floor women's restroom. details are limited. what we know is posted both on twitter and facebook by the college police department. just yesterday this woman came forward to report she was sexually assaulted on monday, november 4 between 1:00 and 2:00 in the afternoon. the woman says she was attacked in a stall. police say the woman knows the alleged attacker but they are not releasing a description nor are they commenting on the woman's condition. the school sent out an e-mail to students as well. that tweeted out by a student who is clearly upset. this girl saying this is the only bathroom she uses here. another person tweeting urging ladies to please be safe. very good advice this morning. both the santa clara sheriff's

department and campus police are investigating this alleged assault. of course i have reached out to both agencies, as soon as i hear back i'll bring you that. for now live in cupertino, marla tellez, "today in the bay." >> thank you very much. >> 5:02. a san who soy firefighter recovering after getting burned during an explosion. this one happened about 9:00 last night when a house caught fire on south almadden road. shortly after getting to the house an explosion happened in the basement causing minor burns to this firefighter. the good news beyond that nobody else was hurt and crews were able to put out the flames in ss than an hour. investigators believe the cause is suspicious because the house is vacant and under renovation. they believe various squatters were there inside the home. >> repairs to broken bolts on the new bay bridge are going to

with a protest by the twitter head quarter sign strikes 6:30. 6:30, that's when twitter will debut on the new york stock exchange under twtr, ringing the opening bell. when twitter's ipo was announced the first share was in the $17-20 range. it was bumped up. this morning it will be at $26 a share. that's an $18 billion valuation for a company that is not yet operable. a couple of financials. through september twitter pulled in $422 million in revenue but at a loss of $134 million. the fact they are opening up on the new york stock exchange, it's not nasdaq. last year facebook, if you recall did not go quite

this is what we're working with. 50s across the bay area, widespread cloud cover to go around as well. we bump you up into your lunch hour looking good in places like oakland. 62 degrees at noon. look at this. 59 in san francisco. so what a difference a day makes in the city by the bay. 64 degrees at noon, in san mateo rounding out the day at 71 for redwood city. 72 los gatos and 77 in gilroy so we're looking really good. for the first part of the weekend. it really depends on where you live in the bay area that's goi going to dictate whether you see showers. jet stream to the south, we have a couple of systems that are going to work into the "bay area sunday," monday, tuesday, even wednesday next week so i want to show you the seven-day forecast and let you know what we're thinking. late sunday into monday our first showers especially in the north bay. monday into tuesday we expect the bulk of the moisture from the next system on board to come

way to get around. it's forming at keller. this is where two lanes are reportedly blocked. they don't know when they have that removed as far as the closure. about 45 minutes. once the coroner arrives probably 45 so we're looking at probably close to 7:00 till this will clear. 880 is the way through oakland. 580 is going to be a big backup. we'll see it build at the oakland zoo. the tri-valley, we had typical backup. there is livermore. no problems through pleasanton. a live look at fremont. southbound 880 here fast truck scales a little more company to the south bay. across the bay for the san mateo and the dumbarton bridges, the game at stanford this evening which probably will bring a lot of afternoon traffic into the area around the university. back to you guys. >> thank you. it's 5:19. results of the latest test on

child booster seats are being released. testing by the insurance institute for highway safety proves manufacturers are making better booster seats. like the parkway and the harmony transit deluxe received top ratings. the lap belt fits flat. >> this year there are 31 new booster seats on the market. 19 are in the institute's top rating of best bets. >> two ended up on the institute's not recommended list. but the company says both exceeded all federal requirements for child restraint systems. >> a series of missteps that led to the discovery of a woman's body. three major errors happened in this one during the search for lynn spaulding reported missing back in septembernd found dead in an outside stairwell two

gives the company a value of about $18 billion. we do expect the first trades to come shortly after the open on the new york stock exchange. our colleagues at cnbc caught up with the twitter ceo last night. here is julia from inside twitter. >> knowing what you know now about the ipo process what would do you differently? >> you're going to you know, i hate to give the trite answer. i really wouldn't change anything about the way we've approached the process this time. i think that the team has just done a tremendous job preparing, both me and the rest of the executive team for everything we were going to go through and being thoughtful and methodical about everything we've gone through along the way. i'm extremely happy with the process. >> in other words no facebook. there are a number of clips. we tweeted out the link. the twitter is nbc bay area.
