the food is great. we need it. people seem to forget that the cool programs, free luh, free reduce lunch and breakfast. they don't usually happ when schools are on break. so don't forget about the special dinner for the holidays, but ju that they're home f breakfas lunch, and dinner. it's a t. so anything people can do, going here -- this is a great way to a loved one, i tell people what that.heir favore fo, donate we don't have enough volunteers at this tim of year. >> every year, ery day is important, but again, the annual food dve at your localafeway starts. but log on to the website, cathy, any final thoughts? >> this is a time of giving.

she has been painting up colorful dancers. we're proud to have elizabeth, a local artist with a local exhibition. and is is one of your beautifuand colorful pieces of art. tell us about this. how long it took you, and wt e message behindt is. >> this is one of my paintings of aztec dancers. d i take forecasts of them in the bay area when they're dancing an the i paint on a canvas with o point. and i bui up a texture.

this o took me about ree weeks was working on it, and i ve been changing a few things. i have been on this workor about four years. i have about 20 paintin in this ste. >> is this something you do on e side or ishis full time? >> i consider mysel a professional artist, so io work almost wha you conside full-time hours, almost hours a week on tngs that are art related. and other parts of it are the buness aects of being a professional artist. >> how difcult or easy is that business aspect? cause if that is what you're doing, that's your livelood here. >> it s been a challenge. i did attend clege and i have

we're bk here with a local latino artist. we're talking aut her exhibiti at the center for performing art in mntain view. this one took you about three weeks. it has the dancers there, what woul one of these, andou do sellthem, wha do they sell for? >> the prices range according to size. and i have few in this size, a larger sizes, so the prices range from the typical size which is a littl smaller than this to like a five foot by so this particular size, i he a few at my solo exhibitn for the performing arts,nd right

now they're listed for $2,000 for this size painting. >> are people buying them or at kind of feedback to you get? st. >> i have be getting really good feed back frompele. a lot of people say they like the energy and t color and they like t havehem too. they say it helps themeel tter and it calms them, and pele who have purased them. so i d sell them. >> whas it like when you walk to the center for performing arts and you see you splays there? it's really exciting. >> i bet. >> it is one o my few solo ows i have had so far, and the place whe i have my solo show right now,heenter for performing arts, it's a very, very beautiful space, it's on very large curved wall, and the down and it makes my paintings

that took a long time. identity.gs that hav to do with >>nd any final advice to any latinas t there who might be watching that you have inspirie, worlof vice? >> any age, any gender, i continue making your work, and looking for opportunities, and go to shows, meet peop, and look online for opportuniti to show. like the show i have, my solo show, i had to make a proposal abou images, information about myselfand a statement, and they accepted it sometimes it's opptunities like that that open up and you have to be ready, have your work ready, and be ready -- >> and maybe one day you will sell yr work for$4,000.
