happened in the city. terrorist attack, another disaster. are you equipped? stable enough to handle it? >> i'm very fortunate that hasn't happened. it's a very few isolated ips dents that's happened. say you'd gone out drinking or you were drunk and something happened to your family -- >> hold on, the lives of a million people aren't my decision -- >> hold on, say your son or daughter just got killed in a car accident, you're plastered out of your mind at 3:00 in the morning, will you handle that? >> i take personal responsibility for my family. you've got taxpayers and residents of this city depending on you. >> i take responsibility for them too. >> do you still want this job? >> absolutely. >> he said he wanted to be prime minister in an earlier interview. >> the thing about the guy, people love authenticity and he is extremely entertaining. however, is he the person as matt says, the guy you want when there's a big problem? i love the fact he goes, yes, yes, i smoked crack.

but you've got to understand, i was drunk! in other words, you would smoke crack too if you were as drunk as i had been. and you got to go, yeah, but the point is, why are you getting that drunk to begin with. >> it is true, cathy ryan was saying, my sister, he doesn't realize he's funny. he just keeps saying things like they're normal statements. you look at this guy and you go, oh, my god. >> he really believes it. >> if there is a reason his poll numbers haven't plummeted and people are clinging to him, i think there is a thirst out there for something real. even if it's real crazy. >> real funny. >> they want real as opposed to manufactured. the guy who says i'm going to rehab and i'm sorry and i'll come back later and i've learned from my mistakes. >> yes, think the contrast between him and the mayor of san diego who recently was forced to resign is pretty stark. >> night and day. >> pretty stark. nobody i think was sorry to see him go bye, you know, because he wasn't fun the way this guy is. >> rob ford is married, if you were wondering. >> oh, my gosh. >> he has two children.

she said it was actually one of the emptiest times of her life, when she was going through a divorce and everything was happening. it's so funny how in life -- if you look back at some of your old pictures, you remember you were going through a difficult time and you look at the plastered on smile you have to have sometimes just to make it through. i think people look at someone like nicole kidman and say, gosh, she has everything, a great actress, a nice husband, and they don't realize the pain behind it all. >> well, we stop thinking about them as human beings. they become celebrities. somehow stop having souls, you know, but yeah i think the old saying is, can women have it all. i think what she's expressing is yes, you can, but not at all at the same time. she got an oscar but she lost the marriage. now she seems to be in a good place. it's like history, if you continue the same mistake, you will continue to make the same mistake. you don't learn from it. so let's have a little snack. i think it's time for a snack.

>> what was that like, tell us. >> you know, you have a talk show. i'm new at this. i'm feeling my way through. i'm just true to myself and true to the situation. so what was happening is someone's coming into my home and kind of beating me up. but i have a show. hundreds and hundreds of days. it's not like i'm with her in a bar drinking martinis. like, let me tell you. >> what happened between the two of you? >> something that happened on "the view." a comment that i made that she didn't have a brand, that she was more infamous than famous. because someone had likened me to her and i was clarifying that i didn't agree with that. and it made her very upset. and then i did that again. and i think that some people -- her brand is to get it going. is hatred. is to get people to hate her and then we're still talking about her now. a lot of people do that. there are a lot of controversial people that come on and i think there's going to be this great interesting moment and what happened is they kind of want to just remain infamous or controversial. >> here we go again. >> omarosa's on line one.

paint the shutters the same green as the front door. what a difference. and those big potted flowers. people tend to put miniature flowers. >> that is night and day. >> and that ticky-tacky fence off the front. >> you helped the grass a lot. >> yes, we did. >> how much you think you've improved the house by? >> the value? we spent $1,500. i would say it improves the value of the house by 5% to 8%. it adds up. >> it sure does. let's go to connecticut. tell us what's the biggest no-no in this picture? >> this is a box on a box on a box. gosh darn square. the first thing you have to remove, the mini pumpkins. remove the garbage. anchor it with this bold boxes. add a railing so you don't fall coming out. you see the walk way that is so narrow? you widened that.

we kind of left that house blue. i thought it would look better in white. if i had a can of paint, i would paint it white. >> how about louisiana? >> it's a very different style house in louisiana, okay. that house when you look at it, you think it's a garage plus maybe a house on left-hand side. the the key to this house is making that door obvious. so one you can find it. we widened that pathway off the garage to the front door. we'll pop the color of that front door so it comes out at you. that makes a difference. brass catches light, makes things look shiny. we added the shutters to the left. we cleaned the drive way. we softened the white to a soft off white. >> the red with the blue, what do you think? the red door with that blue? >> you're complaining about it already? my god. all right, pick your own colors. >> okay, let's go to arizona. >> thank you very much, hoda. someone is polite here, thank god. >> we're allowed to have opinions, last i looked. there's still a democracy in

amazing pieces of history. >> extraordinary stories. >> 15 years ago, i was a red white and blue flag waver, ra ra, usa, we can do -- >> cried at the "star spangled banner." right? >> and we did nothing wrong. we did a lot wrong. >> how did that impact you? as i read your book, even from the revolutionary war on, we didn't do everything right. we made huge mistakes. >> huge mistakes. we continue to make them. >> who was your favorite of all the founding fathers? >> washington. has to be washington. he is -- i have his compass. >> of course you do. i'm surprised you don't have a couple of his wigs. glen gets a little kinky at times in some of these artifacts. >> she is sick. >> let me ask you this, if there was one thing you could change about yourself, right now, what would it be be? >> i would ask for more clarity
