they gave an interview to people. you know, a lot of people did watch this show and watch these kids grow up. they said people expected them to be damaged. they wanted people to know they're fine. >> kara says i feel i've done a pretty good job handling everything. they were 10 when the parents went through the public divorce. they say things about the divorce. it has people talking. >> they say one of the difficult things was seeing their father with a string of girlfriends. mady said maybe that wasn't normal having someone new every week. >> that's hard. >> why bring them around your children that fast? you're not in a solid relationship in one week. go see your children without dividing loyalties number one, and also creating more confusion because they're already confused at a time like that. >> i do think it's weird that at

13, kate gosselin has her children speaking to "people" magazine about what it was like during the divorce and things like that. you would think you'd wanted to protect them. quite frankly, as they grow up, people are going to recognize them less and less. you're not going to always know them. kate says during the divorce she and the twins formed an us against the world bond that helped them heal. >> that's not necessarily healthy either. you don't want the children to be paranoid. i'm at the point i ask my children not to speak to anybody. it's just -- i don't want them telling anybody the truth, okay. in a fashion show, beautiful fashion show -- christy, what was the name -- sherry hill. beautiful clothes. she and kendall modelling in that. they had press right? so they asked cassidy, describe you're mother. she goes, she's a freak.

script, what did you think? >> when i first read the script i couldn't believe how good it was. i thought the writers did such a beautiful job with the premiere episode. when they said they were going to revisit it and do a second one i thought how can they top it? i read this and thought this was one of the best scripts i had ever read. so complicated and painful and after having worked with pablo and my awesome group of actors on svu and our new role, i knew what it was going to be. it just felt -- you know, i was scared of it because you got to go there. the only way out is through. if i was going to do it right, i was going to do there again. it was obviously excruciating shooting the first one and so was this one. i'm so proud of it. that's the thing. you do it and you come out the other side. i think it's one of our most compelling, powerful, gripping
