right now at 6:00, weather advisory as the rain returns just in time for spin-outs and slick roads even report after jackknifed big rig on the morning commute. we haven't seen rain like this for a while but it's back and we're not talking about a little drizzle. the area getting drenched. good news for the drought, bad news for that morning commute. a very good morning to you. thanks for joining us. i'm laura garcia-cannon. >> and i'm scott mcgrew. this morning we have a team in place. they are in the thick of it right now so you know what to expect when you head outside. let's begin with "today in the bay's" anthony slaughter. he joins us live along highway 17 in the south bay. >> reporter: good morning to you guys. this kind of rain this morning that we're dealing with is the soaking kind of rain. so even as you go to pick out your outfit keep in mind you're going to need the umbrella, some kind of poncho because i'm standing here for a few minutes. i'm getting in from the live
