6:01 am
quickly started an aggressive attack on that sixth floor unit, helped two people get out of there, while up to 200 others sheltered in place away from the fire or they evacuated into the cold outside up to 200 people. >> high-rise building, requires evacuation, that's one of the big efforts we have to do, evacuate the personnel because of the smoke so we have precautionary measures we took to evacuate the building. >> two people were injured in all this, it's not clear the exact extent of their injuries. at least one needed oxygen. both transported to the hospital. of those evacuated they obviously didn't have much time to think. they grabbed their precious pets, cats, dogs, just a couple of things. firefighters say so far no one has requested any help from the red cross, there was damage to that one unit and water damage on the fifth floor as well. the cause of this fire still under investigation. reporting live in san francisco, christie smith, "today in the

"today in the bay's" bob redell joins us live at sfo this morning. what are the flight boards showing? >> reporter: good morning to you there, scott. this is turning out to be one of the worst air travel days of the year. i just got off the phone with a future duty manager at sfo who tells us this is in addition to the storms on the east coast here locally they're going to start delaying flights later in the morning because of the low cloud
