good morning, everyone. 4:30, it's monday, again. i'm scott mcgrew. >> i'm peggy bunker in for laura. >> good morning, temperatures are in the 40s and 50s to start the day. rain in the forecast. stick around, i'll tell you when, just keep in mind, keep in mind it is going to be very fall-like this week, not really feeling like spring. if you're trying to put your wardrobe together, that's what you want to put on the forefront of your mind. right now, let's say good morning to anthony. >> good morning, christina.
4:31 am
in for mike inouye this morning. 85 in camden reports of s.w.a.t police team there. this is right at camden between brann bran if you take camden, keep that in mind, s.w.a.t activity in that area throughout this morning. and, also, in san jose, the 270 connect debris in the roadway, otherwise traffic looking good at 4:31 this morning. >> thank you, i can get closer on that s.w.a.t activity. that's the area. bob redell has been there all morning and he has a live report there. >> good morning, scott, you can see behind me we are on camden several blocks away from samson way where that standoff is taking place. police have closed off this
4:32 am
section keeping us a distance away. we presumably the neighbors have been asked to stay inside, as well, because what sounds like a dangerous man with a gun who refuses to leave his home on samson way. a man who appears to be a member of the san francisco's team and it would be common for merge to get involved in this type of situation where you have someone inside a house with a gun who refuses to come out. this started some time last night. according to a teenager, he tells us this involves a neighbor who has been a menace for a long time. he used a high-power rifle to fire 20 to 30 shots at another neighbor who he suspects is involved in illegal activity. apparently refusing to come out. >> he's a bit out there. he really likes our rc cars. he'll do that for a few hours.
4:33 am
he once stole our cats and threatened to kill them unlessc. not kill them, but vague threats. he thinks some neighbors are doing illegal activity and he took it upon himself to be like neighborhood watch. >> you can look, again, live on camden avenue where you can see some of the san jose uniformed officers have a section of that street shut down and to the right of your screen is where samson way is and a couple blocks in is where that home is where the standoff is taking place. if you have business down here, keep in mind camden is shut down, as you heard mentioning mentioning earlier. that's a good three or four blocks. reporting live here in san jose, bob redell. >> let's say i'm watching this from my home and it's a block away from there. just stay in your house. >> that's typically what the
4:34 am
officers would do. and this did happen when people, before they went to sleep or maybe, you know, some people went to sleep. so, we have to assume just based on some other information that we have that people in the area are aware of what is going on and use common sense to stay inside and once the sun comes up, simply say, hey, don't come out and make sure we get you a safe path out. >> fair enough, we'll check in with you all morning, i'm sure. thanks, bob. 4:34 right now. on to an incredible story. a santa clara student said he hopped the fence and stowed away on the exterior of the plane all the way to maui. they found the teenager on the runway after he fell out of the wheel well. this photo given to us by maui news shows the victim on a stretcher being taken to the hospital. fbi officials questioned the 16-year-old who told them he ran away from his family and he didn't know at the testimony where the plane was going.
4:35 am
as soon as he was found paramedics were called to check him because that part of the plane is not pressurized. >> he looks pretty good as far as i can see. the young juvenile and did all dirty or greased up to be in a wheel well. >> i'm surprised that someone would try it. you know, it seems like it would be a pretty scary thing to do and, you know, you see liquids and all that become pressurized and weird on the underbelly of the plane so it doesn't seem like a safe place to be. >> that just amazes me. it's alarming and scary at the same time. >> now, according to the fbi, the boy will not be charged. he is now in custody of child protective services. hawaiian airlines released this
