this is what a reporter told me a a civilian found this on the beach it is described as having rivots up and down the side and rectangular. the size too touch to estimate. they arare in route overnight. this is a press conference saying that they don't know if this object is related. as for the search, the sub fin 2120% of that left to go. it is still the deepest part of the ocean where the search area has been identified. many are wondering if they will have to be brought back in. we check back in with that reporter coming back in.

try valley today at 71 degrees. here it s your future cast tells that story. this isn't going to stay to the north you could be waking up with conditions. it is friday at 2:00 p.m. another wave of moisture coming in but that storm track stays where it is and our shower chances stay through the weekend. we'll talk about that and our chances going through the weekend. what is going on with that drive. i can taste it. this is where we had an accident on the 101 southbound. the crews are clearing this away. 101 southbound. you can see the back up goes for

three to four miles. it is backing up because earlier there was only two to three lanes getting through. let's show you what is happening into fremon. this is a new accident popping up. and it seems as though three lanes are blocked here. you can see the back up is starting to occur. the good news once you get to fremont no problems. it is a smooth steady stream of traffic. you can see coming into the 101 northbound. we had an accident on the southbound side but that has been cleared from the report. our final stop no problems here. the lights have been turned on even at the bay bridge as well. >> david letterman passing on

million users. the out look is expected to be a little bit sunnier for the san francisco company. zinga has had all kinds of trouble as people move away from these sorts of games. new this morning president obama has arrived in tokyo. the first of four stops in asia. this trip is mostly about trade and the economy. >> right, and the trade team proceeded the president. they arrived earlier this morning. the goal here is to try to start to nail down the tpp ip washington. the trance pacific partnership in the us. not china. china is not a part of this trip. not a part of the trade agreement. trying to reassure some of our smaller allies in asia.

what was supposed to be a nice public relations campaign has backfired. yesterday the nypd asked people to post pictures of people posing with police officers. what they got was this. people sharing photos of arrests and images of police brutality. instead of shying away, they met it head on saying the uncensored and open dialogue was actually good for the city. they could allow chelsea manning

washed up along the coast. today in the bay peggy bunker live this morning. it has not been tied to the missimiss ing 777 airlines plane at this time. investigators have photographs of this item at this point. they aare in route to australia where the item has been found. >> hello peggy. as you say. this is being treated as a genuine new lead. there is no confirmatioeirmatio this. photographs have been taken of

the object and it has been recovered by police. and photographs are being examined to determine if it is plane wreckage and if it can be from the flight. >> there are different opinions of what this could be. >> yeah, that is right. simply because there have been so many leads that have proved false since the flight vanished from radars. authorities here are concerned about the sources are telling us that yes the photographs of the object do resemble fuselage that might be part of the plane but

then another source is saying it is more of a plastic sheet material and they are not convinced it is a plane. so we basically don't know yet. we are being told by investigators close to the operation that they are not convinced either way yet and they are waiting for the experts to get a look at the objects. it is currently in possession of police which is about a two our drive of the coast al town wher the object was recovered. investigators will head there in the morning to get a first hand look at the material whatever it might be. let's head this up a bit. where this was found, five hours south of perth i know you are making that long drive south from the search area and closer to the original search area

which was farther south from the search area. the signals that we thought might be pings from the flight recorders they were located 2,000 kilometers north of perth. now the location where the possible wreckage was found was like you say a five hour drive south of perth in the other direction of the city. it is in a totally different direction where the pings were detected. it is closer toward the bottom of that arc. and the complicated direction of the fuel load and the speed was traveling in. it is closer to the bottom of that arc as opposed to where

let's take it to your future cast. we felt that clock for you tomorrow night. all of that activity will move into san francisco as we head through the overnight hours. that will continue to press into the south bay. you can see we are not just dealing with the light green we have the yellow deep green and that is indication of moderate and heavy downpours overnight on thursday into friday. 12:00 another wave of moisture. the whole thing clears out of here at 5:00. 'have a slight chance as we head through saturday and sunday. 60% chance for friday. temperatures will stay nice and cool. look at saturday and sunday. next week temperatures sore. so we have major changes that will continue in the bay area. the only thing that we will get

used to is that things will not get normal. it will be stacked up right? >> it is stacked up. because of an earlier accident we had right at the 116 you can see the back up still stop and go through liberty. it has been a slow spot for an hour now. you can see the back up for your self. let's take you outside. the lights have been on for 45 minutes and you can see traffic tacking up here as well. let's show you what is happening on the map. this is where we had a new accident pop up. three lanes were blocked. two lanes are blocked and you can see the stack up. stop and go. this is going to be a very slow commute. once you get past it things do pick up towards the mission area as well.

boy's footprints where he stepped up into the wheel well and numerous foot and hand prints. you can see them on the door. he spent more than six hours on san jose airport property before the flight took off sunday morning. it is not clear how much of that time was except on the ramp versus how much time was spent on the wheel well. and if so, how was he not found? the boy survived that five and a half hour flight. with passengers in the cabin above unaware they had a stow away onboard. the flight took off long flight five and a half hours when we landed there was nothing on the tarmac nothing that would seem out of the order.

the teen attended a school in san jose and transferred to santa clara high school because of issues he was having in a class as english as a second language. he was described as shy. the teen got into an argument with his dad and ran away over the weekend. with the hopes that he can fly to africa apparently unaware that those plaep blown planes d africa. the department of human services there trying to figure out how and when to get him back here. reporting live here. bob burdell today in the bay. let's go in depth with more details on the actual security measures in place. this is google earth photo above

the blades were spinning ten feet from the wall. they pulled him up and doctors say he will be fine. a lawsuit being filed by the mother of a student killed in that horrific tour bus crash near chico naming fedex and the bus company in that lawsuit. seeking $100 million in damaging. claiming fedex had a history of fires and her daughter was among ten people who died. five of the victims were high school students. >> the man accused of setting our old kntv studio on fire could enter a plea in court today. he is charged with felony arson and burglary. investigators say he set that fire that burned the building nearly to the ground. witnesses say there may have been dozens of homeless people living inside at the time.
