showers coming up. right now let's welcome in mike inouye on your traffic tuesday. good morning, heaviest all week today. right now, look at that, span across the bay bridge just fan. beautiful view of the newer tower and construction crews i expect to see with flashing lights, they are not there. expected to clear up by 6:00, at least approaching the tower we rekban the lane we lost overnight. across the bay for the speed sensors, highway 24 westbound, fish ranch road, we have reports of a crash going on there. in fact two crashes were there and we had activity reported on the shoulder and slowing there. the rest of the bay moves smoothly on the roadways. we'll talk about the tri-valley coming up, back to you. breaking news out of miami this morning. right now crime scene tape blocking off an entire neighborhood as police search for any possible suspects in a deadly mass shooting. two people are known dead, as many as eight others republic

wounded. the exact number is unclear because some were taken to the hospital, others showed up on their own. this is happening at an apartment complex in miami's liberty city neighborhood. as of right now, police don't know why this happened or how many shooters they should be looking for. july 6th will the mark one year since asiana flight 214 charactered at sfo. three teenaged girls died that day, 200 others were hurt. today federal investigators are telling us exactly what caused a plane to slam into a landing. kris sanchez, the invest southbound expected to improve safety. >> reporter: it is an important day for the families of the three girls who died because of that crash, laura. also it's an important day for the rest of us, the flying public as well as the national transportation safety board pinpoints why that plane crashed seemingly without warning. we already know that experts say

asiana flight 214 was flying too low when it slammed into the sea wall last july. it split across the tarmac and burst into flames after coming in too low and too slow to land safely. among the other preliminary findings been the skill of the pilots and their understanding of boeings automated throttle system. aviation expert tells us what to expect. >> the crews were looking at procedures following are already existing. it's clearer on whose responsible as you come in for the dissent and landing. >> reporter: in addition to the three girls from china who died in that crash, 180 other people were injured. because the san may day owe county coroner's office concluded one died've being hit by two fire trucks responding to that crash. the ntsb may also suggest changes to emergency response at the airport. now it's important to note that the ntsb can only make renlss to

she was assaulted while unconscious. she later took her own life. her attackers who were classmates spent just 30 to 45 days behind bars. law enforcement agencies from across the country including here in the bay area are citing child prostitution. so far they've rescued six children in the bay area. 168 kids were saved nationwide. nearly 300 adults were arrested. in the bay area, 20 agencies took part in several stings. authorities say many of the children are runaways who are raped, beaten, forced to sell their bodies. more than 100 cities are taking part in this operation. it's 4:35. south bay family hopes you'll help them find the person who fan over their loved one and nearly left them for dead. richard was hit by a car while walking home on father's day in san jose. he was hit by a black truck and that someone in the truck stopped to look at him, before taking off. now the family is begging

witnesses to come forward. >> we just want the suspect, the male or female who seen this or hit him, stop and look and then took off. that's not fair for the family. you know. this is serious, he was practically dying on his death bed. >> he's in critical condition in a coma. it happened near capitol expressway and silver creek road. if you have information, san jose police to want hear from you. new this morning, man who grew up in the bay area will face a judge in southern california tomorrow on three counts of murder. he was arrested saturday morning nor san diego in connections with the killing of three people. flint and salvador were killed last christmas eve, the brother's body found in the truck of a car several weeks later. the family members, many of whom live in hayward are shocked by his arrest and support him 100%.

>> he doesn't fit the mold. i haven't seen anything that would tie him to these homicides, to the victims, it's very strange. >> he has been arrested before on weapons charges. his attorney says he was coming home from target practice when he was arrested for reportedly having an assault weapon, silencer, and large capacity magazine in his car. secretary of state john kerry is spending a second dma iraq. he's hope tongue tangle a political mess that has given rise to deadly insurgency. he will meet with a kurdish leader in northern iraq and hopes to get help in reforming the government to ease rising anger among sunni groups. it poses threats beyond iraq's borders. >> iraq faces an exte sensual threat and ike's lead verse to meet the threat with the urgency that it demands. the very future of iraq depends on choices that will be made in the next days and weeks.

>> kerry arrived in baghdad just a day after sue any militants -- sunni militants captured two key points. back here at home, supervisors will consider a prohibition to keep more pot shops from popping up in unincorporated areas of the county. leaders concerned they'll open up a mass following the passage of strict regulations in the city of san jose. the so the-called urgency ordnance would keep new shops from opening until superadvisoriers can develop them. water rationing will not happen this morning. the san francisco public emissions says because people have been doing a good job of conserving water doesn't have to require water rationing. the water system provides water for nearly three million people in the bay area. it's only at 65% capacity, but the leaders say doesn't mean people should stop conserving, in fact, the city launched a new

it's going to be noticeably warmer. not the low 90s. 89 in the north bay, east bay, upper 80s for you as well and we'll be in the low 80s here yet again in the south bay. another gorgeous day shaping up. here's the deal. we have a storm system coming in, and it's come income quickly. for today, just a little bit of cloud cover out there to kick off the day as a result we will be warmer, close to 90. as we head throughout tomorrow, temps are going to fall by five to ten degrees. we'll see soupy conditions return. basically, it's going to be a different day as we head throughout tomorrow and by thursday, we're kpchting a chance for some drizzle, also mix of sun and clouds. i'll show you where on the future cast we are expecting that action. coming up in just a minute whereby right now mostly clear. nice and clear for the drive, but there is wind picking up. let's check on that right now, here's mike inouye. you heard about the wind picking up, we'll track that. first no problems report the at least from the chp side of

things. the westbound side is the one looking at the headlights coming through the pass and on 580, this is dublin where there's construction eastbound with the taillights. the only slowing is out of the pass westbound, the eastbound construction continues over towards that tail end of the stretch through livermore as well and that's why there's slowing on the east sietd of the map. the rest of your dublin interchange is very smooth. there's a look at the north bay, southbound 101, easy drive right here. you're at speed coming out of the area. south bay, we're looking at a nice, smooth flow of traffic as well. northbound 101 moving nicely. look at the approach to the bay bridge, no major problems, earlier crash around the exit from the area has cleared from the portion of 24, good stuff guys, back to you. still ahead on "today in the bay." uber slashing its price. plus history at the ball park. sneak peak inside the major league edible garden opening up

this morning before the sun's arrival on this tuesday morning, blue skies out thereto. 4:44, white house lawyer expected to testify today. she will answer questions about the investigation into whether the irs deliberately targeted conservative groups. the agency under fire after two years worth of e-mails have been destroyed. those e-mails could reveal whether conservative groups were looked at more closely when they filed for tax exempt status. republicans believe the lost e-mails were no accident while democrats defend the irs. san francisco city attorney threatening to take legal action against a mobile parking app that helps people sell public parking spots to others. it's calmed monkey parking. drivers sell their hard to get san francisco parking spots when they're ready to leave. prices often range from $5-10. many young drivers think it's a good idea. city attorney says it's not. >> they're getting drivers to

hold parking spots hostage while somebody else finds the parking spot and replaces them. so illegal. >> the warning is the latest battle by city officials and state lawmakers to try to figure out how to regulate these start-ups. monkey parking based in italy, they're urging apple to stop carrying the app. apple has not responded. uber is flashing prices for its low end uber x service as it recovers from recent safety concerns. it uses regular cars instead of those fancy suvs or town cars. the move comes as many are calling for more regulation of popular ride share services like uber, lift, and side car. starting today your daily cup of joe at starbucks could cost you more. they're raising prices for some dries by five to 20 cents. it'll depend, vary on where you live. tall size coffees and frap chi

knows won't be affected. you'll pay a dollar more for the pack ajd coffee sold at supermarkets. want price for a cup sold inside starbucks will be stay the same. at&t expected to explain how the merger with with direct tv would affect you and the consumer. let's turn to courtney reagan, good morning. >> reporter: good morning to you, scott, the ceo's of at&t and direct tv heading to capitol hill today to testify before senate subcommittee about their $49 billion merger. they plan to tell lawmakers the deal may lead to lower prices for consumers and expand high speed brond band service to 15 million customers mostly in rural areas. critics say the merger would actually stifle competition and consumer choices. futures are low after the markets started low. the nasdaq did eke out a small gain to close that 14 year high.

right off the bat as you're having breakfast this morning. we have a little bit of low cloud cover here in san jose. we're nice and clear this morning over emeryville. our temperatures running nearly uniform and that's because we're still getting the westerly flow. here's what you can expect "today in the bay," 82 degrees in the south bay, san francisco cool ocean breeze, you'll be up to 66 degrees today. comfortable conditions out there. 73 for the east shore, the for the north bay and out in the tri-valley, warmer temperatures today. 86 degrees. got to point out the fair is in town, the alameda county fair in pleasanton. today, a touch cooler if you want to wait for the cool conditions to hit that fair, looking towards the end of the week. as we have an area of low pressure. potentially, bring us some showers on thursday and friday, but really only areas to the north of the golden gate bridge. and now the future cast models are bringing in that shower

activity. we stop that clock at 11:00 a.m. look at that the, hard to believe, but for the final week of june, we're going to track some showers on the radar. we're going to keep the fat earn going. we'll talk more about that coming up. right now back to you scott and laura. >> thank you very much. it is 4:50, two presumed gangsters face life in prison for the death of an oakland toddler. yesterday a jury convicted lawrence denard and willie toerns of premeditated first-degree murder. prosecutors say three-year-old carlos nava was walking with his family three years ago when the boy was hit by a stray bullet from a passing car. they say torrence was driving that car and denard pulled the trigger aiming for rival gang members. the two men men will be sentenced next month. six people were arrested in southern california overnight while celebrating mexico's big win in the world cup. one woman was arrested for throwing a bottle. others arrested for public drunkenness. the lapd were put on alert after the game to keep an eye on fans
