p.m. he called for crews and tried to revive her. she was taken to the hospital and pronounced dead a short time later. a woman, who officers may have driven one of the vehicles pronounced dead at the scene and five others were taken to the hospital for injuries and expected to survive. inspection is still ongoing, and police say that section of willow pass road will be reopen at approximately 8:00 this morning. homeless this morning, a fire forced nine adults and children out of the south bay apartment complex caught on fire. a huge cloud of smoke filled the sky over warring street in south san jose yesterday afternoon. the air so thick, tough for debris. the fire started in a downstairs unite and spread to three others. it took firefighters awhile to put the fire out. the red cross is helping displaced families. it was a misunderstanding, that's what an alleged cyberpump

told a federal court judge when he missed his court appearance yesterday. he was arrested for running a sex listings website call, and when he failed to show, there was a bench warrant. he toll the junch he was confused when he was to appear. the fbi says he and his girlfriend together ran one of the best known prostitute sites and laundered more than $5 million. the evidence prosecutors have against the man of kidnapping and killing sierralamar. they decided to unseal the transcripts in two weeks to reveal why the district attorney believes garcia torre is guilty. the defense says it will make it difficult to find an impartial jury and prosecutors worry of further delays. >> the prosecution was not really in the fight today, but you could tell they didn't want

welcome back to the broadcast, everyone. 7:09 is the time. microclimates, christina tells us, are in full force. that's the san jose airport, nice and clear, but off the peninsula, well, san francisco is foggy this morning, but she says it will clear and has details in a few minutes. longer delays getting into san francisco over the 4th of the july weekend. one of the major arteries into the city will be closed for construction that weekend. crews work on the northbound lanes of the 28 0 extension from highway 101 to the city at fourth street. the closure allows cal trans to replace the hinge to make the structure sound, and repairs were made on the southbound lanes last month. speaking of travel, although of a much faster variety, supersonic flights are not allowed over the u.s., but that could change. scientists at nasa work on the development of jets they hope will get passengers to their

time, cloudy, overcast sky. what happens? don't go anywhere, christina loren will be here in two minutes with the forecast. next week, though, oakland lifts a ban on pinball. you didn't know there was one, did you? for 80 years, they banned pinball machines, if you wondered why, so did we. we have why the city is finally changing the law. >> reporter: if you think all pinball machines are the same, ask michael. >> they are like snow flakes, all different. >> reporter: the founder of the pinball museum. he says their make, model, and their story as well as their dark past in the bay area. you see, 80 years ago, people used to put these in bars and wager on the results. >> when you see the machines, you know how they work, you go, well, what else could it be? >> reporter: they had mod earn day features like a ball shooter and bumpers, no flippers on the

side to control it, so the city said it was gameling and banned it. a game of chance rather than skill, this machine was taken by the oakland place in the 1930s. >> rather than being destroyed, it was brought here and given to the policemen as a gift, i presume. >> reporter: many of them with original signs asking player to refrain from gambling, and years later, a major change to the game. >> in 1947, there was a concept of the flipper, and they didn't know how to do it, so they put six of them on. >> the ban was rarely enforced and forgotten about over the years until recently. counsel members discovered the ban as they pushed internet gambling out of the city, and the city counsel will address the old and new gambling next tuesday. pinball fans say it's about time. >> there's a lot of old laws on the books that, you know, need to be removed, so they've come

that way. what are the things that help me surfing or just things that you've done in surfing that you find help the average person? >> for me, i love fitness and exercise, the two keys for staying healthy and citying active, and one of the exercises i love to do is lung with rotation, and doing lung rotation is a full body workout, working your core, glutes, and legs. i like plank drummer. >> what's a plank drummer? >> these are good for working your core and arms, so you just alternate up and down holding the plank position. what the shake does, it activ e activates your core so you're getting everything firing. ? when your surfing core, that's huge. >> core is the center of the body and power of the rotation. i always think the core and getting that strong is very crucial. >> okay.

what do you want to do in. >> getting a world title on the world tour is number one goal, and i've. training for four years on the world tour and working hard and training, and i've been on the world qualifying series before that, and through my high school years, when i graduated, i qualified for a tour, so it was really spectacular, and once i get that world title, it'll be amazing. >> okay. when you get people who welcome at what you do and how active you are and how fit you are and say, oh, i could never do that, what is the advice, what's the tools starting out, talking types of exercises and motivation. what do you say? >> i say the key to get started is getting started. i love working out with friends, having a trainer, and, for me, going out there and just getting in the outdoors is inspiring for me, just getting outside, going on a walk. you got to start somewhere, so have no expectations going into it, fresh, open minded, see

meteorologist christina loren taking a look at your bay area microclimate forecast for this saturday, and i love to be the bearer of good news on a weekend. temperatures this morning are really comfortable really nice out there to accommodate any sort of outdoor plans you want to take care, walk the dog or go for a run, upper 50s and low 60s for now. we'll end up in the mid to upper 80s in the north bay, low 80s in the south bay, and comfortable day at the immediate coast, upper 60s to low 70s today. on average this time of year. it's going to feel like a summer day in the bay area. partly cloudy in the bay area, the marine layer formation, not much left, but enough to keep us cool today, and only end up at 80 degrees. meanwhile, oakland, you'll hit the low 70s, fair amount of clouds lingering still and looking good in san francisco. clouds breaking apart to let the sunshine in, and this is a good opportunity with the live
