mikey. we're looking towards the plaza, it's calm. look at the right side, that's the parking lot we talk about. critical for folks zwrovr night. just like the typical schedule, west 580 to east 80, that is closed until they clear that construction work. you'll make a u-turn in the parking lot i was showing you here. over here is 880 northbound itself, this is flowing smoothly towards high street and into downtown. however 580, earlier crash, sounds like everything is clear. no slowing on the sensors, back to you. let's get that it started, major twist in the oscar pistorius trial, a panel of mental health experts say the former olympian was not suffering from a mental disease when he shot and killed his girlfriend reeva steenkamp. the determination is a big blow to the defense if he's found guilty because the health experts are saying pistorius was able to know right from wrong when he pulled the trigger.

>> the trial was put on hold while the blade runner spent time in a psychiatric hospital. he says it was a case of miss taken identity. two people were arrested for separate shootings in san francisco. the first shooting happened near the intersection of golden gate and hyde last night. the police arrested the suspect. just an hour later, a woman was shot outside the warfield theater at sixth and market. that's not far away. she was taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries. the shootings were not related to the pride events. officials at sf general will meet today to discuss how the hospital can responded to mass casual emergencies. a panel will discuss the response to the crash and how they plan to be even more prepared in the next emergency. that includes several new emergency rooms to treat

victims. last week the ntsb released its findings on the cause of the crash. investigators say all of the factor were in some way related to pilot error. a mountain view woman accused of assaulting two cal train conductors is in jail this morning. held on $50,000 bail. the attacked happened saturday at the san antonio station in mountain view. 22-year-old woman had been acting drunk and cussing. she refused to quiet down. she was asked to get off the train. instead she swung her bag at two conductors. one was taken to the hospital with a concussion. the other was treated for minor injuries. we now have a name to go with a face. santa clara county deputies say justin johnson is the person featured in this highlights video. they're still looking for him. johnson skus accused of arguing with a clerk at a liquor store in san jose.

the clerk fought back with a gardening tool. a customer stepped in to pulmothe attacker off. and the clerk suffered minor injuries. well today the san jose postal inspector accused of stealing mail will face a judge for the first time since he was arrested last week. investigators say juan howard will tell him to let him know when the items were separated. he stole them. howard faces several charges including destroying mail, mail theft, and possession of stolen mail. he's accused of stealing gift cards and pills and cash, and even two silver bars. well happening today, the secretary of homeland security, jay johnson, will visit a military base in texas that houses some of the unaccompanied children who have crossed the border. last week he was visiting a detention center in arizona where 900 children are held.

it was there he made a statement saying children who cross the border will not get a free pass, just because they're children. meanwhile, group called stop mass incarceration network will meet outside the immigration and customs enforcement building in san francisco later today. they're going to protest what they call warehousing of immigrant children. by the end of the summer, could be a lot harder to get your hands on everything from imported food to smart phones because contract that covers about 20,000 west coast dock workers is supposed to expire today. unions have been negotiating with the pacific mary time association since may in san francisco where both are based. neither side said much about the negotiations and how they're going. they have acknowledged it is unlikely they'll agree on a contract in time, but they do say they will keep talking past the deadline. well as crews work to put the finishing touches on lev rirks stadium, trgs agencies are

they will present a tentative agreement to its members today. the union says they came to an agreement on an contract late friday. so far no comment from the muni and the terms of the deal haven't been released. any agreement would need to be ratified. hundreds were so upset last week they all happened to be sick on the same day. that kauszed a lot of headaches for san francisco commuters. the pride celebration and parade brought nearly a million and a half people in the city over the weekend. the parade lasted more than four hours. year, organizers say they had more gate donations at venues and more input from high-tech companies like facebook and apple. one year after the supreme court rulings say participants like the progress, but there's more to do. >> my partner and i right here have been together for 26 years. we got to get married finally. we have two children. and this feels amazing to be out here representing our community. >> organizers say they watch the

whose hometown not been released. they've been entered north korea earlier this year as tourists. they were arrested. meanwhile north korea already holding kenneth bay. he's serving 18 months of his 15 year sentence. in just a few hours, the supreme court will likely rule on a big case involving the affordable health care act. the quote will decide whether hobby lobby must include birth control in their employee's health insurance. the groups argue they should not have to have birth control because that's counter to the owner's religious believes. the big question for the courts then is can a company and corporation in particular have religious believes at all? the owner has a right to his or her religious believes. >> but they didn't mean you get to discriminate women against women if they have different believes than what the owner has. >> the government can fine companies with more than 50 employees that violate the health laws.

they could face $356 million a year in fines. they'll have to pay 475 million. supreme court expected to rule on an issue impacting labor unions across the country. justices will decide whether it's constitutional for unions to collect dues from all employees. the union is hired to represent. eight home health care workers are challenging a law that requires them to join a union. facebook dealing with a lot of unhappy users this morning. the menlo park company tweaked the feeds of out thises of users. researchers changed the feeds of almost 700,000 users to show a disproportionate number of happy or sad statuses for one week in 2012. they found the emotions of others on your news feed can affect your mood. they did not inform users of the experiment. many now calling it unethical. it's not users, they agree to give up their data for testing and research. in just under three hours,

general motors will reveal how it will pay the victims of the crashes caused by the faulty ignition switches. we are live at cnbc headquarters and the rest of the news business headlines this morning, good morning. >> reporter: good morning, top story on the radar. gm will announce the terms today on the compensation funds for victims for crashes linked to faulty ignition switches. mary barra says there's be no cap and gm will have no say into how much they can award to any individual or group. they had been linked to at least 54 crashes and 13 deaths. look at the markets, futures are lower cutting weekly losses for the dow. the nasdaq posted its second straight weekly gain. the dow is untrackable. look for data today on manufacturing and pending home sale data. the dow five points in yesterday's trade. president obama's expected

airlines flight bound for southern california forced to make an emergency landing after the evacuation slide deployed inside the plane. these are images tweeted out from on board. it was taking off from chicago and the slide popped open. the plane landed in wich tap safely. united airlines says 96 passengers and five crew members were on board. nobody hurt. there's no word on what caused the slided to deploy. power failure caused a ride at san diego's sea world to break down stranding dozens of people 320 feet up in the air. took four hours to restore power yesterday. and bring the thing down. 46 passengers, two employees were stuck. no major injuries, though one teen was treated for anxiety. sea world says nobody was ever in any danger. the two employees passed the time supplying guests with snacks and dries. a new study confirms what most know. we like our technology. according to the study, 47% of

out of the group stage. the teams head coach has apologized for the poor performance. dutch airline apologizing after sending out a controversial tweet following the netherlands win over mexico. this was the image they dweeted out with the caption audio amigos. people angered by the image. look at the departures, man with a mustache wearing a some brar row. one actor promised never to fly the airline again. the tweet was deleted an hour later. spokesman from klm says it was supposed to be silly. later the company issued the statement saying in the best of sportsmanship we offered our apologies to those offended by the comment. it's not the only teb controversy surrounding the game, mexico's fans calling foul after this play. it was tied up just minutes going into extra time when rafael marques called for a

let's take a live look outside, good morning fremont where we're hearing triple digits possible in parts of the bay area this morning. let's check your microclimate weather forecast with meteorologist christina loren. >> hey, good morning, 5:00 straight up. and i've got to tell you, this is the coolest point of the day. we have near record heat in the forecast for all your inland hot spots as high pressure takes control. the heat is on today and tomorrow. although we will steadily cool you off as we head into the end of the week. and of course that fourth of july holiday, but for today, 90s and triple digits in the inland hot spots. 70s and 80s meanwhile at coast, and aroun the inner bay, and yeah, as we head throughout the week, temperatures will drop off. i want to the show you the trend for livermore, i want to point out the fact that it's still going to be hot and above average all the way across the board. now we'll tell you what's happened across the bay area for this fourth of july. i've got your fireworks forecast coming up, back to you right now scott and
