coven" 19 nominations. >> i've seen not one episode of any of them. >> if you're watching regular -- fx is broadcast tv but if you're not paying attention to hbo, you're missing all the nominations. >> you know, i was talking to rob reiner the other day. he's on my podcast coming up. he's got television projects, he says that's where you can still get involved, get the money for the projects. and be so creative. >> that's interesting. >> yeah. here's some of the snubs that we noticed. our crack research team. james spader from "the blacklist" was not nominated. >> such a huge hit, he's such a great actor. >> so awesome. >> i'd call that a snub. >> here's another snub. "the good wife" and "the walking dead" didn't get nominations in best drama. >> since i haven't seen either of those i'm not sure. let's talk about what i think i know something about, when i don't. >> anyway, "the voice" got

"brooklyn 99" did not get nominated in any category. brian crayons stop from "breaking bad." >> i thought that was off the air, that was his final season. >> jeff daniels from "news room," great show. kevin spacey from "house of cards." >> scary. >> but awesome. jon hamm from "mad men." >> he's been nominated how many years in a row? a lot. >> then this show, cody tells me is fantastic, "true detective," the acting and writing is through the roof.

funny, but not on purpose. >> i have a swedish wife so the story is very much about my wife, auto biographical tale. >> you produced it with your sister, you wrote it. did you really google how to write a script because you didn't know how? >> yeah, embarrassing step one of this whole process. >> that's unbelievable. >> right. that's all you do. first you google how to write the script, then you write the script, then boom. nbc, 9:00 tonight. i'm going to write a book about how to make a sitcom and that's it. >> now what about the acting portion of this? how did you learn that part? >> because you're a natural at it, greg, you really are. >> thank you so much. i don't know, that was -- to me that was the easiest part. because the writing and producing and show running was so intensely difficult. because you had swedish and american competing interests. >> yes. >> that once we got to the acting it became kind of -- that felt like the finish line. >> you shoot it in sweden? >> yeah. >> you are still living there?

>> yes, i'm fully swedish. >> what does your wife think of this comedy thing? funny or not? >> yeah, she's fairly supportive. so to say. >> what does that mean? >> the way you portray her mother and stuff. >> yes, her parents don't come off looking too well. also she married a lawyer, and then her lawyer husband is all of a sudden making out with young swedish actresses. oh, and he wrote the show himself. i had no one else to blame. >> and cast it too. >> i don't know how that happened. i don't know how that scene got in there. three-way? how did the threesome scene get in there? seems like a bit much. >> totally different swedish humor than here in the states? >> i hope not. we tried to find jokes that worked in both places, the universality in comedy. >> airing in sweden first? >> yeah. >> do they know you, you're a star? >> i'm like the yakovsmirnoff of
