of computer intrusions, but the officials say the attacks came in a series that were carried out earlier this month. there are some signs it came from russia. investigators say the hackers scooped up a large amount of data from j.p. morgan and other banks on customers and bank employees. officials haven't yet said whether that included credit card numbers or password, matt. >> pete, they are saying they aren't seeing a higher than normal level of fraud reports. so what should you do if you think your bank pay by a morning those hacked? >> reporter: right, they say there is no sign yet the information has been used to take money from customer accounts. they say it's still unclear what the hackers were actually after, whether they were looking to take the money or for intelligence about the banking industry. the experts say, captioning your account password is always a good idea and customers should call the bank if they show signs or see signs they have been tampered with now. pete, thanks very much.

aggravated arrest. canadian fighter jets were scrambled wednesday night to escort people to toronto after drunken passengers allegedly made a threat. the sun wing flight was over south carolina when the trouble started. an airline spokesperson says two women drank a bunch of duty-free in the restrooms and set off a fire alarm an got into a fight and made a threat against the flames. it was considered fawn credible. the women were arrested if toronto, ordered to appear if court today. a resolution this morning for a northeast supermarket cane that's been in some turmoil for weeks now. this summer, hundreds of warehouse workers and zriefrs i survivors refused to dliefr i deliver food. it led to empty shelves and millions of dollars in lost revenue. the supermarket cane has just announced now they will buy a majority stake in the business and take of day-to-day

out after collective gasp when shaw let out the answer. it was all a hoax, saying through a statement the high profile attorney whose clients include snoop dog and rihanna, saturday i injured myself in a fall. i made up a story about this fall that was untrue. i was wrong to not tell the truth. i apaleyes to usc for this action on my part. after shaw's admission, the head coach steve artesian said we are extremely disappointed if jordan. the let us all down. although this type of behavior is out of character for josh, it was unacceptable. within minutes, he was a world wide trend on 26th. most comments not so kind. josh shaw is a joke and does josh shaw even have a nephew? it turns out, he does, his name is carter. we caught up with he and his mom asia.

you're watching "today in the bay." good morning, it's 7:26 i'm vicky wynn. a woman died this morning at the burning manifest value. she died after falling under a bus. it was carrying passengers at the time. the woman was not identified and it was not clear what made her fall. burning man organizers say they're working with the sheriff's office and they'll be providing more information when it becomes available. downtown san jose may feel safe they are morning after police took down a violent gang that targeted innocent people. they dubbed the gangs crew, it is spanish for snot nosed kid. police gave them the moniker because the suspects are between 11 and 17 years old. officers say the teens would walk up to unsuspecting people

you're watching "today in the bay." well good morning everyone, 7:56 i'm scott mcgrew. two boys face burglary and animal cruelty charges after police say they ditched school and went on a crime spree. the boys reportedly broke into several houses in san jose's valley and in one home beat a dog to death with a golf club. they are eventually caught bay homeowner who held them until police got to the house. pg&e is trying to figure out how someone planninged to break into the met calf substation in san jose despite security upgrades. this is the same station hit by a sniper last year. investigatorings say the burglars stole some construction equipment. pg&e says its preliminary investigation suggests human error as the cause of the security breach even though the alarm did go off. well let's check your weather with christina. >> hey scott, good morning.

good morning. it's 8:26. i'm vicky nguyen. a busy stretch of 280 is shutting down for safety upgrades. starting at 2:00 this afternoon, cal strtrans will close the northbound routes of 280. northbound traffic on 280 will be detoured on to highway 101. the road will stay closed through the holiday weekend, so that crews can replace two bridge hinges. caltrans says everything should be back opened by 5:00 tuesday morning. let's take it over to mike inouye, who has a look at the rest of your bay area weather. >> closes today at 2:00 p.m. you can still skedaddle if you really want to hit that section of roadway.

show up at this dusty warehouse-turned-workshop, this is the way out. sawing, chiseling, sanding, painting and bringing wood to life. >> i like to write up the blog. i didn't know the place was here at first. i been here my whole life. >> reporter: here is the south bronx where steven and 200 or so other teenagers spent hours after school learning how to build boats. >> i told my grandpa how i wanted to do this program. he was like, good, because you break things all the time, so you should learn how to build something. >> reporter: the program is vision of executive director adam green, 20 years ago on a break from college, a teacher buddy asked if he would help students build a dinghy, even though he had never done anything like it. >> to see the impacts in kid's eyes and the learning that they went through actually putting into practice some of the things they had been taught in school, but never knew the purpose of, was thrilling.

watched his idea build so much more than boats. >> my personality went from shy kid, not wanting to talk to anybody, to a kid that wants to be all over the place, wants to get to know everybody. >> you come to a place where you can express the worries so you can get through them together and you're not alone. >> reporter: since the program started, students have built about 50 boats here, a place that doesn't just anchor their lives but helps them set sail for a new course. >> i'm going to queens college in two days. rocking the boat definitely made that dream a bigger reality. >> that's what this whole program is about, teamwork. it shows you potential. yeah, it's awesome. >> rocking the boat keeps all the boats that the students build and use those boats in their programs. in hunts point, 35%, that's the on time graduation rate. in this particular program, 100%.

good thursday morning. it is 9:26. i'm vicky nguyen. the d.a. has dropped charges against the bay area mother accused of attacking her daughter's alleged bully at school. this video from court just into our newsroom. delia garcia bratcher was arrested in may after investigators say she went to olivette elementary in santa rosa and grabbed a 12-year-old boy by the throat. she has been back in court several times and in each instance, prosecutors had asked for more time to consider the case against her. well, today they decided they did not have enough evidence to try garcia-bratcher. her attorney says she confronted the boy, but that she never touched him. downtown san jose may feel safer this morning after police took down a violent gang that

targeted innocent people. they dubbed the gang the los moqosos crew. that's spanish slang for snot-nosed kids. officers say they were between 11 and 12 years old. they would walk up to unsuspecting people in the downtown area and punch and rob them. police are asking people to walk in groups and keep a vigilant eye so they don't become victims, in case there are more of these wildling gangs out there. is there an elk in your bed?
