they saturday eight fires in a seven-block radius. one man said his strarestaurant about to open in ten days. >> i'm numb right now. i've looked through the door, the roof is gone. there's a lot of damage and i don't know if they'll be able to build it again. >> nobody was hurt. police have not released the names so far of the suspects. >> police are investigating the city's 29th homicide of the year which happened saturday night in a driveway off monterey road. a man in his 20s was shot several times in the back. one neighbor says she heard five shots, then heard one driving off. na neighbors say the victim had two young daughters and another child on the way. this happened where another man was shot earlier in year. >> a man accused of beating an

elderly man at a south bay park will be in court this morning. detectives say he attacked the victim in the rest room on witness. the assault came after the man confronted the suspect about an alleged indecent exposure. >> a car chase went through three bay area counties and ended in san francisco. the man reportedly shot at bystanders and police, who then returned fire, killing him. police will hold a press conference to give an update later. >> an alert from pittsburgh police say several flares

wrapped together with rifle rounds were found in a vacant home near the high school. nobody was hurt. this morning investigators are trying to find the owner of the home. >> california has adopted new legislation designed to prevent sexual assaults from happening on campuses. california is the first to define when yes means yes. the person must have resisted an assault in order to have a complaint. students must ensure in advance either verbally or nonverbally that a sexual advance is desired. >> and in a veto message, governor brown said this bill went too far, saying the measure

imposed restrictions on law enforcement. >> airports across the country and here in the bay area are getting back to normal after friday's fire set by an employee at an air control facility. the faa says it expects normal operations to resume this morning. they reported two flight cancellations and several delays yesterday. passengers slept in seats or on the floor as they waited for flights to resume. repairs are under way at that faa radar facility in aurora, illinois, where an employee set the fire. >> right now we are squarely in the fall season. what kind of temperatures can you expect heading out of your doorway today? let's find out from meteorologist christina loren. >> hey, everybody.

but this morning the demonstrations are spreading. hong kong has been under a one-country two-system style. bay jiang promised to let the people choose their candidate. at least 25 people have been hurt. >> and the chinese government is taking action in cyber space as well. numerous reports that instagram is now blocked across china. china's government is not indicating whether the shutdown is tied to the froprotests from going on in hong kong. it doesn't prevent people from posting, it just prevents people

isolation unit. exposure to ebola does not necessarily mean somebody will become sick. >> police in ferguson, missouri are still looking for the man who shot one of their fellow officers. police are not saying what they are charged with. the shooting happened while the officers was checking the ferguson community center. he was shot in the arm and should be okay. ferguson made international news when a a police officer shot and killed an unarmed man, sparking weeks of violent protest. >> the bay area head coach could soon be out of a job possibly by the end of today. >> yikes. here we still have plenty of work for folks to do at those truck scales. here's an update on 880 through

surely you're having a better start to your week than the raiders are to theirs. it was rough yesterday. the team trying to recover after a dismal loss to miami, final score 38-14. head coach dennis allen promised to evaluate everything during the upcoming bye week. the raiders are 0-4. many think this is the end of the loin for coach allen. they say he will likely be fired when he returns to oakland and the offensive line coach is the rumored replacement. the raiders are 8-28 under allen. that team has lost ten consecutive games and that can put you in hot water. >> i think somebody's hoping for a flight delay, don't you think? >> there's good sports news. the a's are headed to the

opponent but i think the giants are up for it. they can win. >> your traffic situation, it's still early right now but what do you think, mike? >> there are a few things going on. we'll talk about what's going on. this is 580. we have a good amount of traffic over my shoulder. 580 through the area of dublin you see no slowing, except at the interchange. and out of the altimont pass, a little slowing there. i found an incident but it turns out to be on the southbound side. sounds like a big rig might have been dragging debris behind it. that might have been enough distraction to the northbound lanes to cause the backup. the orange signs are a construction or closure. it's not really construction but howard between 3rd and 4th, it's

closed until the end of the week. and getting off at the bay bridge, the off ramp will continue for six more months. we're looking forward a live look, though. the bay bridge itself, we're just have both sides. we talked about the cash lanes having slowdowns on either side of the fast track leans. the volume is very light as you head toward the toll plaza. nothing dramatic going on there at the span. that's good news at least. the golden gate bridge, they've moved those cones for the morning. and a clear view. that's great stuff here. we'll jump on 101. a few more cars near san rafael. there is a report of a crash involving a sedan and a tractor.
