temperatures are looking good this morning. we have rain on the way. several systems. t just what's going to happen, how much are we going to get. all i can tell you the rest of the month is looking active. there's a bit of a "pineapple express" connection as well. that's what we need to get significant totals. for today though, it's going to feel like summer. this is summer's last blast. 63 degrees in san francisco. 53 degrees in the north bay. big temperature difference because of the heat island affect in the city. tonight, temperatures are going to be really mild overnight because we're still going to be on the warm side of this system and because it's going to be kind of a hot day. 84 today in san jose. you'll notice those low clouds returning, pushing over the coastal mountains between the hours of about 5:00 and 7:00. in addition to those low clouds, we're going to start the to see high and mid level clouds as this area of low pressure tracks closer to the coast.

yeah, we're talking about rain on the way as of tomorrow. and some decent downpours. the big question mark is surrounding whether or not this is going to stay organized when it passes over the bay area. watch this. set it in motion. we get a little yellow in san francisco, but once it starts to move toward san jose, it loses that and our totals at this point look to be maybe a quarter of an inch to a half of an inch. say we get that red. say it stays organized and we hit that subtropical moisture path, we could be talking about an inch, an inch and a half of rain in san jose, so there's going to be some interesting components at work. throughout the next 48 hours, we're watching closely. as we head throughout the day, 88 degrees. look at the drop in san jose between today and tomorrow. 71 degrees. much cooler. that's sweater weather in the south bay. 72 by wednesday. then we're going to bring your number up and high pressure starts to take control. that's 88 degrees by thursday.

about 6:30. we'll give you a look at the san mateo bridge, moves very nicely, a smooth flow across the west 92. but 92 at 35, just got reports from chp that someone reportedly hit a deer. in you're heading over there the next few minutes, that will be an issue, but should be clear the next half hour. back to you. >> for the crowds to go see the pumpkin weigh off. 5:52. today marks the final day of fleet week in san francisco. >> boy, fans turned out by the tens of thousands to watch the blue angels perform the spectacular maneuvers over the weekend. >> it was a triumphant return for them after the show was c canceled last year because of government cuts. beginning at 9:00 this morning.

america should move these chip and pin systems. europe has been using these for years. a chip creates a one-time code that's useless to hackers. in the cash register system was able to read the numbers every time a customer swiped a credit card or atm card. it would appear hackers got thousands if not millions of card numbers, no other personal information seems to have been tolen. you are not liable for those charges made to your card if you alert the bank, so one more reason to alert the bank. lots of banks offer text messaging or e-mail notification, so for instance, if you or someone else spend more than say $50, you can set it to anything on your card, you get a message. on your phone. back to you. >> a god reason to keep an eye on those bank statements. the warriors continue to row on the preseason beating the lakers 116-75. >> it's causing desperate
