exposed himself to 14-year-old and 10-year-old girls earlier this month. police have released a different sketch of a man who exposed himself riding a bike earlier this month. >> alex tickleman pleaded not guilty to manslaughter and other drug charges. prosecutors say video shows her injecting him with heroin in his yacht and watching him die. >> today california lawmakers will take a close look at the response to the napa earthquake. hearings will begin on the 6.0 quake that struck back in august. lawmakers want to see if improvements can be made to the

statewide emergency response system. >> your morning commute across the bay bridge is expected to be easier this morning, compared to friday at least. this weekend caltrans removed a series of steel plates. those were put into place to help crews replace six expansion joints. many slowed down to drive across the plates and traffic backed up in some places about an hour. >> predicting traffic is an inexact science. when they saw the traffic, they made the decision to suspend this and see what other options we have. >> aldon smith could be back on the field earlier than expected. pro football talks's mike florio

so grab your umbrella. most of this is not going to impact your morning drive. here is the center of rotation, some spotty clouds, cold air behind the rain. that's going to set until as we head throughout tonight. basically it's going to start to feel like fall and we have more rain on the way as we head throughout the end of the week. so let's time this thing out for you. showers still to the north of the north bay. as we get into this afternoon, though, everybody getting a good three to four hours of steady rainfall. we stop that clock for you, everything starts up. mid-morning, 9:00 a.m. to the south of the golden gate bridge by 11:00 money we stop that clock for you by about 1 p.m. we're talking about a little bit of that deep green. that produce about a quarter inch of rain where we really need it. 68 on the peninsula, 67 for the east shore, meanwhile, mid 60s for san francisco and low 70s out in the north bay today.

give your sprinklers a break, if you have them set on a timer, as we're expecting some pretty good rainfall. mike? >> if you don't plan on commuting until after lunch, find me a job at your company. you won't have as much company getting out of the city because as sam just talked about, they moved those plates out. right now it's an easy flow between the city and the east bay. looking farther north, we see a smooth drive. it's not necessarily a heavy traffic flow but we're seeing a few slower vehicles. the rest of the bay shows a typical pattern as well. we'll give you a live look out here on west 92.

you can clearly see who high rise. fog not really an issue. the rain coming over, that's what we're watching for that effect. >> in that event the rain does trip you up a bit today, some good news. you'll probably notice gas prices are falling. but it could come back to haunt you next year. experts say prices could drop below $3 in the coming weeks but they say that could reduce employment. >> the former secretary of state hits the campaign trail here in the bay area and we'll show you where she's going to be. >> and that is what he thought until this woman here stuck in a chimney, the online meeting that went horribly wrong. >> also, apple makes the big

>> investors are wondering if they're in for another wild ride this week. it was a roller coaster all week long. kate, some folks might have needed some maalox to get through last week. good morning. >> it was a really rough week last week, sam. fupts pointing to a higher open as the markets come off a negative week, despite last week's rally. now, there's no economic data out today but we do get reports this week on home sales and inflation. look for earnings today from ibm, apple and chipotle. the dow rising 263 points on friday to 1,16,380.

and apple pay begins today and is available through a software update. apple says it is secure and the company won't track or correct what people buy. >> the financial times reports that ford's new car has sensors to determine if someone is having a heart attack. >> incredible innovation. >> heavy rains and mudslides in new mexico killed at least six people there. three dozen communities in the area are currently under a statement of emergency while more than 4,000 people have evacuated to shelters.

but good news if you are planning a trip to hawaii. hurricane ana is now just a tropical storm. the eye left-hands seem to be damage free since the eye of the storm never hit land. forecasters say the tropical storm could gain strength and be upkbraded again to a hurricane. >> something something to track. it mightin snare you, it might not. how are things looking this morning? >> i think it should be okay today, which means you're free to wash today. between about 7:00 and 9:00, we'll start to see showers press into the north bay. we'll have to wait on the activity until about lunchtime here in the south bay but everybody getting enough rain to wash your vehicle. if you're like me, that's something to celebrate. as we get into your afternoon, we're expecting first showers to

arrive, up in the north bay -- san jose region and then the activity moves our way and it looks like it's hard to again a quarter of an inch, maybe even a inch we'll pull out the umbrella by 11 a.m. the east shore 67 degrees. looking good for rain in oakland, all the way to livermore. same deal, about a quarter of an inch expected. peninsula, south bay today, upper 60s to low 70s. basically uniform conditions across your microclimate. tuesday, witness, thursday in the south bay, bringing back the rain thursday night.
