this morning. good morning to you. thank you for joining us. let's check in with anthony slaughter with your microclimate forecast. >> good morning. the giants really took that win last night and this morning we're waking up to a few clouds in the sky. you can see the sun beginning to come up. we'll see the morning clouds. we'll see plenty of sunshine. quite a different story from yesterday. jacket weather is in place this up coming week as temperatures definitely cool off. no more 80s for inland valleys. we're back into the 70s and 60s. showers return just in time for halloween. we'll talk more about that coming up. our live radar standing clear skies and you can see as we see from our sky camera network plenty of sunshine later on this afternoon. jacket weather. low 70s is as warm as it will be today.

woman from her own smart phone. he then allegedly shared the photos with other officers. court records show he told investigators it was all game and that several officers made vulgar comments to each other taken from the phones of other people they have arrested. >> it's disturbing to have an individual describe that misconduct as game. we don't see it as a game. we don't treat it as a game. that's immature, unprofessional conduct. it's demoralizing to law enforcement and the women involved. >> the chief of the chp golden gate division says the act has disgusted and angered the entire agency. another officer has been put on desk duty pending the outcome of the investigation. now to continuing coverage on two northern california sheriff deputies killed in the line of duty friday. we have learned the suspected gunman who also goes by the name

marcello has been deported from the u.s. twice. once in 1997 and again in 2001. immigration officials say he is a convicted drug dealer. he and his wife are now in custody following their shooting rampage. people in the community where one of the deputies lived got their chance to honor and pay their respects to their fallen hero. dozens of patrol cars escorted the body of investigator michael davis from the sacramento coroner's office. co-workers lined the street to salute him. >> it makes me feel ashamed of myself in a lot of ways because you take that for granted. the first person you call is a policeman or a sheriff or something. you don't think they are putting their lives in front you. >> 47-year-old deputy sheriff

danny oliver was shot and killed friday. he was with the sacramento county sheriff's department. ucf medical center is prepared to treat ebola patients. it's one of five that will be priority hospitals to treat ebola patients in california. currently, there are no ebola cases in our state. ucsf officials say they are prepared to screen, monitor and provide in-patient care. yesterday a university doctor explained simple precautions anyone can take to ensure they remove any risk of contracting the disease. >> this is a virus that is completely inactivated by hand sanitizer. it's a virus by washing your hands, you can get rid of the virus. >> health experts say wiping down surfaces with common disinfectant products will help remove any possible

contamination from the disease. the new york city doctor fighting ebola received a blood transfusion. he received a plasma transfusion from nancy wrightbold. spencer was working with doctors without borders. he returned from treating ebola patients in africa. hospital officials say he's awake and communicating. the nurse who was quarantined at a new jersey hospital because she had contact with ebola patients in sierra leone is criticizing the way her case was handled. she says he was questioned for several hours but no one would tell her why. officials say she was then taken to a hospital after she developed a fever but she said he was merely flushed because she was upset by the process. she tested negative for ebola yesterday morning but she's still being monitored at the newark hospital.

jose. the guard was wearing a protective vest. doctors say he should survive. police are still looking for the gunmen. neighbors say shootings like that happen all the time. many of them petitioned the city rules committee to do something about that bar. it just received word the city is forcing the bar to close on december 16th and neighbors do consider it their victory, they want to see the bar shut down sooner. >> that's still six weeks of hell to live through. all take into accounts is one bullet to come through our door or window or wall that could end our life when we're just watching television. >> we reached out to the bar operators for a comment, but did not receive a response. the group says there's no place for the promotion of hatred against any race. the ceo of city sightseeing san

a family member who witnessed the shooting says they think jaylen fry berg may have had a change of heart. >> i think he had change of heart. >> he shot and killed one girl and injured four other students before taking his own life. two of those injured were his cousins and another cousin was there when fryberg started shooting. >> i couldn't believe it. he was one of my good friends. he's a great kid. he wasn't like going crazy or anything. he's a fun guy to be around. he's funny. any further would have expected this to happen. >> investigators haven't released an official motive but say in recent days his mood turned darker and his social media account suggested a romantic relationship had soured. we have learned a teacher who

had been on the job for a couple of months played a large part in stopping fryberg. she burst into the cafeteria and tried to swap the gun away before he aimed it at her. she pushed him to the ground stopping him from shooting any other students. rallies and marches around st. louis, missouri have been a familiar sight after the police shooting of 18-year-old michael brown in the town of ferguson but dozens marched in a different kind of rally yesterday with firearms strapped to their backs and hip. dozens of people took part in the open carry arms educational walk in st. louis. it was in honor of a recent amendment adds to the constitution which calls the right to bear arms an unalienable right. yesterday's march was described add scene out of a bad western. dozens of people living on hawaii's big island are being

told to pack up and be prepared to leave their homes as lava inches closer by the minute. it's a historic and unique occurrence but it's dangerous. roads are closed because of safety concerned over possible methane explosions. some residents are being asked to evacuate by tuesday. let's check in with anthony slaughter with a look at your forecast and no rain for tonight's world series game. >> we should be all clear tonight. yesterday we did see some rain. that was good news for our fire threat and the hills turned so brown. let's start you off right now with a look at the rainfall totals that we did see over the past 24 hours. we had three quarters of an inch. helping for the drought we're in.

oakland about half an inch. right now as we scan right now on our live radar you can see virtually clear. we don't have any rain in our 250 degree radius but overall you can see as we step out rain is still falling across the pacific northwest. this is the same system that brought us rain yesterday and now it's making its way out of here. they will continue to see showers over the next two days as the remnants of a tropical storm couple with another system make its way toward there. for us here at home we're going to remain dry and very fall like over the next couple of days. we have clear skies for the most part but look at that in the north bay. 47 degrees and very chilly. you can see our sky camera network showing a beautiful sunrise over the city by the bay. fog free from boulevard. as we head through the afternoon hours, again, it's going to be very fall like. only 70 degrees in the south bay. low 70s for the peninsula and

the east shore and mid to upper 60s for san francisco. just in time for the giants game tonight. we're going to see fog free conditions tomorrow morning and the next couple of mornings. you can see as we put this into motion not a cloud in the sky over the next 24 hours. it will remain very clear and fall like over the next couple of days. that's what we like. it's been downright hot the past couple of weeks. nice comfortable weather expected for the world series game. first pitch expect clear skies. by the fifth inning temperatures fall back but clear skies are expected through the end of the game. let's fast forward and talk about our next chance of rain. this is thursday into friday. thursday morning showers to our north. as we head through the day on thursday clouds expected to drift in. look at friday morning. heavy showers to our north. this shower activity is expected to roll through friday evening. look at the time on this. friday, 7:00 right when you're getting ready to take the kids

on raising his two sons not even picking up his trumpet until years later while trying to get certified as a music teacher. tim not realizing how much he missed it until he had an audience. a woman who had wandered in to watch him practice. >> i watch the emotion in her psyche. she's just thrilled and enthralled. right then i realized what it is to be a musician and move their heart. you heard it go down. you have a good ear for hearing when it goes up and down. >> it's what tim wanted to provide his students when he started teaching but something was missing, a lot of something. >> no resources with which to teach the kids music that they want. >> tim says he was fortunate to find a non-profit called little kids rock. one that trained him how to teach music that was relevant to

students in a way that would get them excited about learning. they also provided 33 guitars to help him do it. still that wasn't enough for each student to take an instrument home to practice and that wasn't good enough for tim. >> i'll never get the resources that these kids need by the time they're gone off to high school. that's not fair to them. i just bought what i thought we needed right then and there so i didn't have to deal with the red tape. >> no red tape, just a lot of boxes because tim has since bought some 80 guitars with amplifiers to match. there are also the keyboards, drums, drum kits, the list goes on. jim broadstreet with with little kids rock. >> we all put money through our classrooms but on a level like this, no. tim wilson is taking it to

another level. >> i know the words to adele but i sure like to listen to her. >> they deserve every advantage. i just started showing up whatever we needed and i asked myself this question not out of discipline, out of compassion, if it was my kid, how would i treat that child. >> tim says he's been too busy organizing all the gear to stop and count how much he spent. he guesses it's between 50 and $100,000. >> e minor. >> all on a musician's pension and a middle schoolteacher's salary. >> that's the advantage this every one of these kids need and they don't have that. if i can provide it, i will. >> he stresses he didn't do this to bring attention to himself. he did it because he feels children, no matter where they live, deserve to be given the resources they're going to need to succeed.

peninsula 71 degrees. tri-valley expecting low 70s today. no 80s. that's where we see the warm spot. even south bay today very comfortable. clear skies will be with us all day long even tomorrow morning as you start your workweek. we're not expecting to see any fog. the morning commute tomorrow will be all clear even on the roads expecting to see very good conditions because we won't see any shower activity. let's talk about the world series forecast if you're headed out or just going to be watching it at home. clear expected for first pitch. 60 degrees in san francisco. by tend of the game that's when we'll see temperatures very chilly. keep in mind, we will see winds today gust up to about 30 miles per hour at the ballpark. it will feel a little more chilly than 55 degrees. all right. let's talk about our next rain chance. that will move through as we head toward the latter part of the week thursday into friday.

here comes our next storm system. most of it stays north thursday. by friday morning we'll start to see our first showers arrive across the north bay and look what happens as when he had toward friday evening. just in time for trick or treat time, showers. maybe even some thunderstorms across the bay area. this activity is expected to linger through friday night into saturday morning. when we meet back here next week showers and maybe some intense thunderstorms expected with this round of rain that will move through. definitely keep a plan b in place if you're going to be making plans to trick or treat or do anything for halloween. something indoors may be fitting this year. you'll notice as when he had through there upcoming week temperatures are expected to stay very seasonal. no big fluctuations. even in san francisco mid-60s. by thursday is when we'll get the next bump in temperature. by friday, that rain is expected to move through. at this point high confidence in this rain activity.
