the giants will meet here for one last time before catching a bus to sfo, their sights set on winning it all from kansas city. >> the giants have the edge but they know closing in on the royals no easy task. >> absolutely. good morning to you, laura and sam. they certainly have the momentum after last night's crushing win against the royals. and you have the giants starting pitcher madison bumgarner at 25 years old already considered to be one of the greatest pitchers ever in world series. any time he's been the pitcher in the world series game, the giants have won. last night the opponent never made it to home plate. he pitched a shutout, the first time there's been a shutout in a world series in over a decade. >> the most fun you're ever

be talking about this stirring tribute to the late robin williams for quite sometime. he was there in spirit last night and his oldest son zach, joined by his siblings, threw out the first pitch in honor of their dad. billy crystal got the crowd going with his own chant of play ball. >> where the giants go we go. we'll be checking back in with bob redell later in the newscast. and we'll be live from kauffman stadium tomorrow morning. >> a haz-mat crew was called to han road in hillsborough this morning but nobody is saying

why. hane road was temporal closed but it is under investigation. >> a fire at a yamaha repair shop destroyed 70 vehicles. crews had a hart time getting inside that building we understand. >> reporter: that's right. the blaze broke out around 5:00 yesterday evening sending black smoke into the air. lots of it. dozens of firefighters responded but by the time they arrived, two-thirds of the building was already engulfed in flame. complicating matters, the bars on the window prevented access to the shop. crews had to remove the bars first and if that wasn't enough, they faced another challenge. >> the closest fire hydrant is about a thousand feet from here. once we were able to get that, we called a second alarm

immediately and were able to get personnel here to put the fire out. >> the fire was under control about an hour and a half later. s a you said, up to 40 -- rather 70 motor cycles were destroyed. no one was inside the store so no injuries were reported. the cause of the fire is still under investigation. now chief williams did say that arson is not suspected at this point but they are looking into old electrical wiring in this aging building to see if that caused the start of the fire. >> a lot of people in the camden area familiar with that place. thanks a lot. >> it is 6:06 on your monday. time to check your forecast. a view looking at the bay bridge as we get ready to start our look out. it's been kind of cool in the morning. we've been pining away, wanting fall to be here, feels like it

arrived. >> good morning to you, everybody at home today, spectacular fall conditions and definitely getting that gorgeous fall cover where we typically peak in the bay area late october, early know, vibrant colors coming your way the next couple of weeks. the weather story of the day is the fact that onshore flow will be coming in. cloudy start, nice sunny finish and changes on the way. maybe you don't love beautiful weather. maybe you don't like 72 degrees in the south bay. if that is in fact the case, we're going to bring those numbers up into the mid 80s by wednesday and then we keep those rain chances coming in for this weekend and for friday. more specifically, halloween. i'll time that out to your

you have to travel through 238. adds more mileage, you're going into slowdown and it add two congestion points. you probably should just stick it out for 680. at least cars are moving by it. but look at all these folks coming out of the tri-valley. this is more problem out of livermore and dublin. meanwhile approaching the bay bridge, look how green this map is. slows a bit past university. a live look shows you the bay bridge toll plaza camera. a typical pattern, typical time. no surprises out of the maze. over on the san francisco side, a look at the golden gate bridge. a nice easy, clear view across from the north bay. no surprise there is. folks, just be a little quiet because the giants are still sleeping. they have to travel today. >> they have sleep experts that

series. game six is tomorrow. >> big news out of brazil over the weekend. >> the country has reelected its president. scott mcgrew, that could be discouraging news to silicon valley. >> it could be. we have to remind ourselves how important brazil is, second biggest economist and its president is extremely angry over the united states over spying. she's publicly very suspicious of devices made in silicon valley. she's been pushing for more brazilian companies to build servers and other devices, threatening to make a brazil-only version of the internet. twitter reports its profits this afternoon, facebook does the same on tuesday. we're coming about, by the way, on the best trading week all year last week. do watch shares of tesla starting today.

it's going to offer a new lease. you could lease teslas before. but tesla said it secured a new line of credit at a u.s. bank at a much lower cost . it goes from least expensive to expensive. the car costs at $70,000. >> and the committee setting standards for satellites, telephones, radio frequencies, everything communication, was set up before the internet. countries which would like to have more control over the internet, particularly arab states, want the u.n. to be in charge. the u.s. doesn't want anybody to be in charge. we'll continue to watch that fight. >> thank you. >> thanks, scott. >> 6:16 right now.

i. yeah, good job. i do think that's funny that they do that but you can form your own opinion. temperatures are cool, we got a little fog out there. beautiful day shaping up. i mean beautiful. i don't like to throw that word around loosely. because of the rain that came through, our hillsides are turning green out there, especially down through morgue and hill and all the way to gilroy. just beautiful out there. temperatures today looking good but we are going to warm you ups a we head into the mid section of the week. 72 for the south bay today. you'll be at 81 by wednesday. that means a return of the mid 70s for san francisco. on wednesday just beautiful conditions. s a we get into your thursday, temperatures start to falls a that storm system approaches the coast. on friday, we have rain on the way. looks like it's the first part of the day on halloween. but these showers are coming in with really cold air so we could

be falling into the 30s once the system passes. always like to keep you about a week ahead of what's coming your way. we head throughout friday at 4:00 a.m., storm system moves into the north bay, presses south by 6:00 a.m. we meet back on friday, likely tracking showers. kids will probably have to get through some rain on halloween day but every clears out of here just in time for trick or treat. this can change. a lot of people want to get out there without dodging showers. let check your drive with mike inouye. >> we have some folks trying to dodge this. south of 680, a cash in sheridan. here's your at for 880 south but you have to go through two choke points. it adds more mileage. you might just want to stick it out for 680.

no surprises and you're claes closed to the speed limit. >> thank you very much. it is 6:20. investigators need your help finding whoever shot and killed a mother of four, possibly in a case of road rage. it happened in rossmore. she was heading home from the grocery store with her husband when someone shot into the car. officers say there was some sort of confrontation, maybe an instance the road rage. there is a $20,000 reward for any information that leads to the arrest of the shooter. >> up nkext, a regretful robber. why this man returns stolen cash

service, praying for those who remain in critical care. jaylen fryberg shot two students who were relatives. parents who lost children in sandy hook, that shooting there, are now headed to washington state to offer comfort but also to rally voters to pass a gun measure that would require universal background checks. coming up in a half hour, we will take you back to marysville, washington on this investigation and the latest victim. >> authorities in canada say the man who killed a soldier and attacked that country's capital made a video just prior to the tack. michael zehaf-bibeau was said to

we're looking good in san francisco right now. 57 degrees. look at the contrast between wine country. we've fallen to the low 40s in san martin this morning as well. now san francisco shows you a little bit of low cloud cover out there, not a lot. we're dealing with more of a marine layer at 1,000 feet than the thick fog at the surface. low clouds are going to clear by about 10 to noon and leave you with 67 degrees. 72 for the south bay. nows a we get into tomorrow, we do have changing coming your way. temperatures are going to climb by about 5 degrees. an additional 5 to 10s a we head throughout your wednesday. that means a return of the mid 80s. then look at what happenss a we

a heavy morning for many folks in washington state. a 14-year-old girl is the latest victim of a teen-age gunman who opened fire in his high school cafeteria on monday.

kris sanchez is joining us with some very big decisions in that community. >> reporter: good morning. let's start with what is most likely the gut-wrenching decision. the family of 14-year-old gia soriano chose to remove her from life support last night, ending her life. let's go to marysville. the students have the week off and hopefully they can get some help. >> we received the news that gia sorianio had died. her family said in a statement her organs are being donated. three people have died now, including the gunman and three

are in the hospital in critical condition and one in serious condition. the shooting happened in the cafeteria here. witnesses say the gunman, jaylen fryberg, a popular student, recently elected to the homecoming court, those who know him say he doesn't fit the profile of a shooter. classes are cancelled here not just today but for the rest of the week. kris? >> two parents from the sandy hook shooting are in washington hoping to get voters to pass on universal background checks.

few days. >> you don't thank mother nature, you thank george bush. he changed that. 45 in livermore, a beautiful day coming your way, bay area. i mean spectacular conditions. changes just around the corner, too. so seize the day. temperatures right now in the 40s and the 50s. we are going to end up in the 60s and 70s and i mean one of those days from the coast all the way through dwror inland valleys, hard to find a bad seat in the house in the bay area. 65 degrees for san francisco, clearing by 10:00 a.m. on the peninsula, temperatures will be a little chilly for today in places like san mateo. redwood city looking good, palo alto as well. 69 degrees, passing clouds from time to time but clearing rapidly when it comes to those low clouds. you'll see mid-level cloud cover

roll on today. by mid week, we start to see that change and shift offshore. as a result a 10 to 15 degree jump in your temperatures. we're going to get in the 70s. by thursday temperatures start to drop off and by friday we bring in the rain. i want to show you some of the early rainfall estimates. they're looking good. livermore, one of the top spots at over .6 of rain. hopefully this will pan out. we'll keep you updated each and every day. a lot of people get outdoors for halloween, including mike inouye. how you doing? >> i'm doing all right. we're looking at traffic flow here and a nice flow of traffic approaching the bay bridge area. look at our maps down the east shore freeway, and 880.

nothing unexpected here. the bigger issues are over farther south. 880 south build from 238 past san mateo, dumbarton bridge. both south 880 coming off of the dumbarton bridge. i'm going to say two incidents slowing through fremont. south 680, we've been riddled with crashes. they're all around the shoulder, enough distraction to cause a big backup here. at share ton it was an easier -- all of these folks coming off of 84, looks like there might have been another crashs a you're coming um toward that merge. there are more issues coming out of the tri-valley. we're looking at a smooth drive

through palo alto. 101 here picking up the volume a bit. and in the south bay you're just starting that second build for 101 as well as 87 into downtown. >> mike, it's 6:51. clean-up is under way this morning after a fire at a yamaha repair shop in san jose destroyed 70 vehicles. nanette miranda is live at the scene. i understand firefighters faced some pretty big challenges with this one. >> very big challenges. the cause of the fire is still under investigation. the fire chief says they'll be looking at old electrical wiring inside this aging building. that's definitely something they'll look at. within minutes thick, black smoke could be seen pouring out of the cycle store on camden

avenue. the shop is -- by the time crews arrived, two-thirds of the building were already ungulfed in flames. they weren't easy to put out quickly because of two major obstacles. >> one, the building was very well secured, had bars on the windows. the other challenge was the cloest fire hydrant was so far away on this busy street of camden avenue that, it took a long time for us to lay line to get the water supply to the pumping engine. >> that fire hydrant was some 1,000 feet away. 50 firefighters in all responded to this two-alarmer. took about an hour and a half to knock the fire out. luckily no one was inside the building so no injuries were reported. >> thank you, nanette. >> people in one san jose neighborhood could find out in a local bar they say attracts

criminals -- a security guard was shot four times. he is expected to survive but the gunman is still on the loose. the city's attorney's office has a court hearing scheduled today to seek an injunction to close the bar as soon as possible. the city of san jose already said it's going to yank the bar's liquor permit in december. the owners have declined comment. >> i'm loving every second of this. i'm just trying to soak it in and join the moment. go giants. >> go giants is right. the orange and black are now just one win away from a third world series championship in just a five-year span. >> that's right, break out the foam fingers. a live look at san francisco this morning. all is quiet now but later this morning the giants will meet here for one last time before
